Abstract

The inability to receive excitatory voice experienced by the student with hearing impairments presents diverse impacts. The impacts include difficulties in understanding the information that others convey, lengthy understanding sentences, and holding verbal communication. This research aimed to develop a reflective maternal method integrated with the Android system to improve vocabulary mastery to support students with hearing impairments to perform receptive communication. There were twelve students with hearing impairments within the 15-23 age range as the samples. This research belongs to research and development adapted from the multimedia development model for learning. Product feasibility test was performed through the alpha and beta tests. The average expert validation score was 4.25, and the average score of the material expert was 4.50. Both expert validation results were in an excellent category. Also, the results of the media experts' validation were 3.58 in the good category. Meanwhile, the average score of beta test was 3.58 in the good category. It can be concluded that Android apps can be operated via smartphones or computer devices to improve the receptive communicative ability of students with hearing impairments. This application is called Reflective Game. This research recommends an Android application program that can be used by Guidance and Counseling teacher accompanied by special school teachers to improve students' vocabulary understanding for the student with hearing impairment. Besides, it provides skills to understand proverbs, opposites (anonymous), and synonyms.

Abstract

Pandemi yang terjadi di seluruh dunia berdampak pada aspek kehidupan manusia, salah satunya adalah bidang pendidikan. Pembelajaran tatap muka beralih menjadi daring. Pembelajaran daring menimbulkan keresahan dari sisi guru, diantaranya kesulitan guru dalam menggunakan media penunjang pembelajaran daring seperti zoom, google meet, screen cast o matic dll. Berawal dari keresahan dari guru di lapangan tersebut, maka kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan. Kegiatan pengabdian yang dilakukan bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan guru dalam menggunakan media pembelajaran daring, sehingga dapat melakukan modifikasi dalam pembuatan materi pembelajaran untuk siswa berkebutuhan khusus. Guru diberikan pelatihan untuk menggunakan aplikasi Gem Reflektif dan aplikasi Screen Cast O Matic. Pelatihan ini berlangsung selama empat hari di SLB Tunas Sejahtera Seyegan. Pengukuran tingkat keterampilan sebelum dan sesudah kegiatan menggunakan instrument kuesioner keterampilan dalam pembelajaran daring. Dari hasil analisis data ditemukan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara keterampilan guru dalam pembelajaran daring sebelum dan sesudah diberikan pelatihan

Abstract

There are several problems faced by 14 deaf students as the subject of this research. They get diffiulties in understanding long sentences, connotative meaning, and they lack on vocabulary. Their inability in hearing makes them rely on their vision to gather information. Considering the reason of their difficulties, visual and attractive learning media are needed for deaf students. Group guidance on simulation game technique is a counseling guidance service that directs students to reflect daily activities in the form of games using physical media such as blue cards, OK cards and chance cards. In the group guidance of the simulation game technique, students learn to understand new vocabulary of the role played and can acquire vocabulary. The more vocabulary mastered will support students' ability to have receptive communication. To prove the hypothesis that the group guidance of simulation game technique influences the improvement of receptive communication of deaf students in SLB.B Wiyata Dharma 1, the Mann Whitney U Test analysis is used. Based on Mann-Whitney U-test Asymp Sig was obtained (2-tailed) 0.013 with an error level of 0.05 then 0.013 <0.05 means that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. It implies that the group guidance of the simulation game technique has an impact on increasing the receptive ability of deaf students. Therefore, group guidance on simulation game techniques can be used as an alternative learning media to improve receptive communication for deaf students.

Abstract

Communication is a bridge to connect human being. Through communication relationships will be established among people. People will always carry out the process of communication with others during their lifetime. This communication process is not a difficult to do for those who do not experience hearing limitation, but it will become a more complex process for people with hearing impairment. Limitations in listening to sound stimulus make the communication process a little hampered because people with hearing impairment become more difficult to be able to understand the contents of the conversation spoken by the other people. The ability to understand the meaning of what is uttered by the other people in the communication process is called receptive communication. Failure in receptive communication will have an impact on other developments such as in terms of psychological, social, intelligence and economic development. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the reflective maternal method on receptive communication skills of students with hearing impairment. The method used was quasy experimental with a randomized control group pretest-posttest design. The results of the study based on the Mann-Whitney test were obtained by Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) 0.002 with an error level of 0.05 then 0.002 <0.05 means that Ho is rejected, and Ha is accepted, so there is a significant difference between the control group and the experimental group. In conclusion, the reflective maternal method influences the improvement of receptive communication on students with hearing impairment.

Abstract

The change of the free curriculum is learning to change the school's flow into a standardized elective group. Changes in flow are certainly made by guidance and counseling teachers. Guidance and counseling teachers need to update the instruments used for more comprehensive measurement of student interest and talents, while the instruments normally used by guidance and counseling teachers are interviews, sociometry, and talent interest tests that cooperate with the psychology society. It needs to be to develop more flexible talent instruments and interests to be used at school and low cost. The study aims to develop talent instruments and interests by using Microsoft excel. Microsoft excel is selected because it is relatively easy to use among teachers. The instrument's design has several menus, one of which is individual results, aspect analysis results, and results diagram. The benefits of this instrument designer are expected to be used at school to help guidance and counseling teachers identify the students' talents and interests and direct students to subject groups that match students' interests and talents.

Abstract

Dalam lingkup Pendidikan Tinggi, mahasiswa harus dipersiapkan menjadi pribadi yang berkarakter, mampu berdaya saing dan adaptif terhadap dunia industri. Tantangan ini memberikan kesempatan bagi perguruan tinggi untuk menciptakan budaya belajar yang inovatif dengan memberikan sentuhan materi perkuliahan yang mendukung mahasiswa untuk siap dan memiliki keterampilan yang optimal dalam menghadapi dinamika lingkungan kerja. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan metode systematic literatur review. Data literatur diperoleh dari beberapa laman seperti Google Scholar, Sinta Ristekbrin. Untuk meninjau data penelitian, kata kunci utama yang digunakan yaitu “persiapan karier” atau “belajar mandiri” atau “mahasiswa”. Mahasiswa perlu memiliki kesiapan hard skill dan soft skill untuk meniti karier di dunia nyata. Mengingat saat ini, permasalahan di dunia kerja tidaklah sederhana, sehingga membutuhkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan kematangan mental agar tetap produktif dan bekerja secara profesional. Diharapkan implikasi pembelajaran persiapan karier dapat membantu mahasiswa mendapatkan gambaran arah karier dan mampu melihat prospek kariernya dengan matang. Kata Kunci: Persiapan Karier, Mahasiswa, Belajar Mandiri.
