Abstract

Abstract

ABSTRACT                This research was conducted on February 20 - March 30, 2019 at the Laboratory of Aquaculture Technology, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine, University of Riau. This study aims to determine the best dosage of Papain enzymes mixed in commercial feed to see the growth and survival of baung fish. The research container used was a 60x40x40 cm3 aquarium with 15 aquariums with a stocking density of 15 fish / aquarium. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with one factor of five levels of treatment and three replications. Each treatment was given the addition of papain enzymes as much as P1 (0 g / kg), P2 (0.25 g / kg), P3 (0.30 g / kg), P4 (0.35 g / kg), and P5 ( 0.40 g / kg) of feed. The results showed that the best treatment found in P4 (0.35 g / kg) of feed resulted in absolute weight growth of 5.84 g, growth of absolute length of 4.20 cm, specific growth rate of 4.56%, feed efficiency of 124.56% and livelihood 95.53%. Keywords: Papain Enzyme, Growth, Baung Fish (Hemibagrusnemurus)

Abstract

ABSTRACTFish Botia is a freshwater fish that have an attractive body colors. Feeding naturallypumpkin flour feed in artificial feed aimed to improve the color quality of clown fish and how long it takes to improve the color. This research was used experimental method with quantutative approach. Research used CRD (Complete Random Design) which consists of 4 treatments with different concentration includes: P0: Positive control, P1: 10%, P2: 15%, and P3: 20%, with 3 replications in each treatments. Parameter in this research are color quality improvements, length and weight accretion.Observation data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANAVA) α <0.05. The research result showed that feeding the pumpkin flour in artificial diet affected the color improvement of clown fish but did not affect the length and weight of clown fish. The optimal color improvement of clown fish obtained on the treatment with 15% concentration. Keywords: Clown fish, Pumpkin flour, Color quality

Abstract

The research was conducted from 30 Meith to 30th Juni 2016 at Laboratory of Brackish Water Aquaculture Development Centre Situbondo, East Java. This research was aimed to determine the immersion dose of recombinant growth hormone (rGH) to increase growth and viability of seed of river Giant Grouper (Cromileptes altivelis). River Giant Grouper were immerrsed for 30 minutes in water containing 0,9% NaCl, 0,01% Bovine Serum Albumine, and different of dose of rGH ( 0, 6, 12, and 18 mg/l). Each treatment was repeated 3 times. This research concluded that the best dose of recombinant growth hormone was 12 mg/l because it had the highest growth body weight (1,29 g), the higesth growth total length (2,29 cm), the higesth specific growth rate (6,63%, the higest feed efficiency (98, 54%) and the highest survival rate (97,8%) compared the each other dose.Keyword: Cromileptes altivelis, recombinant growth hormone, immersion

Abstract

Information about stocking densities that are ideal for the cultivation of shellfish blood is still very limited. The aim of the study was to determine the stocking density in the rearing of blood clams. The benefits of this research was to provide information about the best stocking density for the growth of the blood clam and can be used as reference in the cultivation and further research. This study was conducted over 60 days from March to May 2013, in the village of Commander King, District Concong Affairs, Indragiri Hilir District, Riau Province. The method used was an experimental method with a completely randomized design (RAL) with three levels of the factor treatment. Treatment 1 (stocking density of 50 animals), treatment 2 (stocking density of 100 fish), Treatment 3 (stocking density of 150 fish) . Each treatment had 3 replication. Extensive research with size of each treatment area size was 50 x 50 cm (2500 cm2) fenced round with polyethylene net size of 0,5 inches. Seeds obtained from the blood clam catches directly in nature by local fishermen. Seeds stocked with as many as 900 tail with 2,33 cm and in length an average weight of 2,72 grams. The result showed that the growth length of the shellfish blood was 3,21 cm and the growth rates of 5,18 grams. Keywords: Shellfish blood, stocking density, seed, growth
