Abstract

This research was carried out on June 01 - June 30, 2016 at the Brackish water Aquaculture Institution Shrimp Hatchery Unit, Gelung, Situbondo, East Java. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of calcium hydroxide Ca(OH)2 dose on moulting, growth and survival rate of vannamei shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) juveneli. The method used in this research was the experimental method, using one factor completely randomized design with 6 treatments and 3 replications. P0 (control) without giving ( 0 mg/L Ca(OH) 2), P1 (Dose Ca(OH)2 1 mg / L of water), P2 (Dose Ca(OH)2 2 mg / L of water), P3 (Dose Ca(OH)2 3 mg / L water ), P4 (dose Ca(OH)2 4 mg / L of water) and P5 (dose Ca (OH) 2 5 mg / L of water). The results showed that administration of calcium hydroxide Ca(OH)2 at a dose of 60 mg / L of water. Absolute growth was 0.56 g, 2.06 cm, daily growth rate 1.73% and survival rate was 68.33%. The hiqhest pucentage % moulting in 28 days realing was about 50 % mared at 60 mg/L Ca(OH)2.Keywords: Vannamei, Calsium Hydroxide Ca(OH) 2, growth and survival

Abstract

A research was conducted from January-February 2016 at the Fish Hatchery and Breeding Laboratory, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science, University of Riau Pekanbaru. The purpose of the research was to evaluate the duration of laser puncture exposure on gonad maturation of angle fish (Pterophyllum scallare). Completely randomized design was used to analyze the gonad maturation at the different duration of laser puncture exposure (0, 15, 20, and 25) seconds. The shooting was done twice a week for 4 weeks. The brood fish were reared in 54 L aquarium tank (60x30x35 cm) and fed on 38% protein pellet plus 57% protein tubifex worm.The results of research showed that there was an effect of laser puncture exposure duration, on gonad maturation of angle fish (Pterophyllum scallare). The best duration of laser puncture to stimulate gonad maturation was 20 second. At the duration the maturation was reached in 35 days with gonado somatic indeks 6,3 %, fecundity 908 eggs, and eggs diameter 1.5 mm. The temperature range from 26-27 oC, pH 5-6, and DO 5,7-6,8 ppm.Key words : laser puncture, gonad maturation, angle fish

Abstract

This research was conducted from April to November 2015. The aim of this research was to determine the effect of ovaprim doses on spawning success of signal barb (Labeobarbus festivus, Heckel 1843). The method used in this research was an experimental method with Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with one factor, four treatments and three replications. The treatment used in this research was an injection of ovaprim with different doses i.e : P0 (0,2 mL NaCl physiology 0,9 %/kg of body weight), P1 (0,5 mL/kg of body weight), P2 (0,7 mL/kg of body weight) and P3 (0,9 mL/kg of body weight). The results showed that ovaprim dose of 0,7 mL/kg of body weight was the best in turn of latency time (5.32 hours), total eggs stripping (14.095 eggs/g gonads), egg diameter (0,91 mm), egg maturity (87,7 %), Ovi Somatic Index (20,15 %), fertility rate (40,39 %), hatching rate (14,85 %), and survival rate (38,07 %).Key words : Ovaprim, Spawning, Signal Barb (Labeobarbusfestivus, Heckel 1843)

Abstract

This research was conducted on 24-30 May 2016 in the Laboratory Fish Hatchery and Breeding Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science University of Riau. The purpose of this study are to determine the influence of temperature (room temperature and 30°C) and dose of aquamate (0 mg/L and 20 mg/L) on fertilization, hatching and larvae survival of Pawas (Osteochilus hasselti C.V.). The method used in this study is an experimental method by using a completely randomized design with 2x2x3 factorial design. The first factor is the temperature (room temperature and 30°C), while the second factor is the dose of aquamate (0 mg/L and 20 mg/L) with three replications. Fish kept in the twelve unit of 30x30x30cm aquarium with the volume of water were 15 L each.The result showed that the treatment of the giving different temperature and oxygen to hatching the eggs and 5 days fish larvae initial survival of Pawas (Osteochilus hasselti C.V.) that is best for Fertilization Rate (FR) of Pawas eggs is room temperature with the addition 20 mg/L aquamate which produce figure conception amounted to 43.78%, figure Hatching Rate (HR) amounted to 63.24%, the rate of Survival Rate (SR) amounted to 96%. Data from water quality measurements during the study that is the temperature used is room temperature and 30°C, pH range 6-8. The levels of dissolved oxygen on dose of aquamate 0 mg/L namely 3.0 mg/L while on dose of aquamate 20 mg/L namely 7.0 mg/L. Dissolved oxygen was increased on dose of aquamate 20 mg/L as much as 4 mg/L after one day the addition of aquamate into aquarium.Keywords: temperature, oxygen, fertilization rate, hatching rate, survival rate, Osteochilus hasselti C.V.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe research was carried out for 40 days from 18 April to 28 May2019, in the fish hatchery and BreedingLaboratoryDepartment of Aquaculture, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine. University of Riau. The purpose of this researchwas to determine the effect of initial feeding and different feed combinations on the growth and survival of silver barb larvae (Barbonymusgonionotus). The larvae was reased for 40 days, in 16 -Lplastic jar, with 2Larvae/L.The larvae were stockedat 20 larvae/jar. The method used in this research was the experimental method. The design used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) one factor with six treatments and three replications. The treatments used were P1 (Chlorella sp.), P2 (Artemia nauplii), P3 (Water Fleas), P4 (Chlorella sp. + Artemia nauplii), P5 (Chlorella sp. +Water Fleas), P6 (Chlorellasp. + Artemia nauplii + Water Fleas). The results showed that the combination of feeding was significantlyeffectto the growth and survival rate of barb larvae. The best results obtained in the treatment of P6 (Chlorella sp. + Artemia nauplii+ Water Fleas) produced absolute weight growth of 1.02 g, absolute length growth of 4.29 cm, specific growth rate of 14.75% and survival rate of 95%. Water quality during the study was temperature ranging from 25.3-27.80C, pH 5.1-6.5 and DO of 4.1-5.2 ppm. Keywords : Combinations, Natural Feeds, Silver Barb (Barbonymus gonionotus), Chlorella sp., Artemia nauplii., Water Fleas.

Abstract

ABSTRACT             The study was conducted on 11 July - 20 August 2018 in the Laboratory of Fish Breeding and Breeding at the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, University of Riau, Pekanbaru. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the type % Tubifex (fresh, frozen and dry) and water change rate (L / minute) (debit) on the growth and survival of sheat fish larvae (Ompok rhadinurus) feed in recirculation system for 40 days. The method used is a Factorial Complete Random Match (RAL) with two factors, namely the first factor in the form of feed with three levels each Tubifex fresh (Ts), frozen Tubifex (Tb), dry Tubifex (Tk). While the second factor is the water debit of each D1 (1 liter / minute water debit), D0.5 (0.5 liter / minute water discharge). To minimize errors, each level of treatment was repeated 3 times. The best growth rate in the treatment of Ts D1 (Tubifex fresh with 1 liter / minute water discharge) with an absolute weight of 7.85 gr, absolute length 10.11 cm, average growth rate of 18.23% / day, and survival rate 94.44. The condition of water quality is the water temperature 27-280C, pH 5,6-5,7 and dissolved oxygen 5,6-6,1 mg / l. Keywords : Ompok rhadinurus, Type %, Tubifek sp, water

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research was conducted in September 2019 in the fish hatchery and breeding laboratory of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine of Riau University and Photomocrography laboratory of Mathematics sand Natural Sciences Faculty, Riau  University. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of different in the concentration of  young coconut water on NaCl on sperm motility, viability, fertility, and hatching rates of catfish (Clarias gariepinus) during short storage. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD), with 5 levels of treatment and 3 replications, namely: P0: 0%  young coconut water plus 100% NaCl (Control), P1: 40%  young coconut water plus 60% NaCl, P2 : 50% young water plus 50% NaCl , P3: 60% young coconut water plus 40% NaCl, P4: 70% young coconut water plus 30% NaCl. Semen of this experiment used from 2 male catfish, and was stored  in the refrigerator at 40C . The results showed that the different of  young coconut water concentration in NaCl had a  significant effect on the sperm quality of catfish (Clarias gariepinus) for 96 hours at 12 hour intervals. The results showed that P4 (70% young coconut water plus 30% NaCl solution) was the best treatment with 72 hours optimal storage times with good category (3) with a viability percentage of 51.4%, fertilization rate at 12 hours storage period reached 89.0% with hatching rate 88.5% while at 96 hours fertilization rate is 50.4%, and hatching rate is 78.9%Keywords: Clarias gariepinus, young coconut water, NaCl, qualityof spermatozoa.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The study was conducted on March-April 2019,  at the Hatchery and Breeding Laboratory at the Fisheries and Marine Science Faculty, University of  Riau, Pekanbaru. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of  guavaleaf (Psidium guajava L.)solutionwith different doses on degree of thefertilizationand hatching rateof greencatfish(Hemibagrus nemurus).This experiment used Completely Random ized Design (CRD)with four treatments and three replications. The dose of  guava leaf solution used was P1 (0 g/L), P2 (0,6 g /L), P3 (0,7 g/L) and P4 (0,8 g /L). Theimmerse green catfish eggs in  guava leaf solution for 4 minutes with a density of ± 170 eeg (0,2 g) and incubated in an aquarium. Larvae wererearing in aquarium at stocking density 4 larvae/L for 10 day. The results showed that the dose of guava leaf solution gave a very real effect to eeg fertilization rate (89,21%), egg hatching rate (84,58%) and survival rate (88,33)of larvae. The best dose guava leaf solution to increase fertility, egg hatchability and survival rate of larvae was 0,7 g/L. Keywords : Hemibagrus nemurus, Eeg Fertility,  Eeg Hatchability, Guava Leaf

Abstract

ABSTRACT                 His research was conducted for 40 days from October 25, 2017 to 3 December 2017 which took place at the Laboratory of Fish Breeding and Breeding at the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, University of Riau. This study aims to determine the Effect of Light and Shelter Interaction on the Growth and Survival of Baung Larvae (Hemabargus nemurus) which is maintained by a water aeration system. The method used in this study is the experimental method while the factorial design is Completely Randomized Design with two factors, namely the light factor with three levels of each light 0, light 12 hours, light 24 hours. Whereas the second factor is the amount of shelter provision, each S (using shelter) and NS (do not use shelter) To reduce the error of each treatment level, repeat 3 times.               From the results of the study obtained the best growth and survival of G0NS (dark for 24 hours not using shelter) resulted in the growth of absolute weight of baung fish larvae of 2.44 grams, absolute growth rate of 4.91 cm followed by a specific growth rate of 11.30% / day and survival 98.92%. The results of measurements of water quality obtained temperatures ranging from 25.4-28.2 0C, pH ranged from 5.2 to 6.4 and DO ranged from 5.0 to 6.0 ppm. Keywords: Hemabargus nemurus, Light, Shelter,

Abstract

AbstractThe aim of this research was to determine the effect of stocking density and kind offeed on growth and survival rate of Java barblarvaereared with a water recirculation system. This research was conducted from November-December 2018 at the Fish Hatchery and Breeding Laboratory, Fisheries and Marine Science Faculty Riau University. The Method used was a Factorial Completely RandomizedDesign with two factors.The first was stocking density with three levels, namely 5 larvae/L (T5), 10 larvae/L (T10) and 20 larvae/L (T20). While the second factor waskind of feed with two levels namelyArtemia nauplii (Pa) and Tubifex warm (Pt).The larvae were reared in 10 L-glass aquariumwith a water recirculating system for 40 days. The result showed that stocking density and kind of feedgave asignificant effect in absolute weight, absolute length, average growth rateand survival rateof java barb larvae. The larvae stocked at density of5 larvae/L and fed onArtemia naupliwere significanthy(P<0,05) the highest inabsolute weight (1,11 gr), absolute length (4,35 cm), spesific growth rate (12,49 %/day)and survival rate (99,33 %). The water quality parameters during research were rangedtemperature25,3-27,8°C, pH 5,1-6,5 and dissolved oxygen 4,1-5,2 mg/l. Keywords : Stocking denstity, Kind of feed,Java barb larvae,Growth and Survival rate
