ABSTRACTThis study was conducted on December 2013. It was aimed at finding out of the involvement of fisherman wives in terms of time allocated to increase the domestic incomes and the their participation in terms of domestic incomes. The method used in this study was census method with 22 respondents. The fisherman wives involvement observed from the number of working hours devoted to increase the domestic incomes shows that the fishermen’s working hours is higher than their wives. The wives contribution to the domestic income by average contribution on the level of 26-50 %.Keywords: Fisherman’s wives participation, income participation of fisherman’s wives, Desa Korong Sungai Limau.

ABSTRACTThis study conducted on 30 August-22 September 2013 in the Sumpur village, South Batipuh District, Tanah Datar Regency West Sumatra Province. Aims of this study wasto determine the change in villagers'culture and local wisdom implementation of Sumpur to the preservation of Bilih fish populations in Batur lake. This studiy used a qualitative approach fenomologis method. Primary and secondary data collection used purposive sampling technique. Local Wisdom of Sumpur village under taken to the preservation of Bilih fish populations in Singkarak lake, because the people able to preserve the aquaticenvironmen of Lake Batur preserve fish populations bilih. There are interdependence between cultural change, implementation oflocal knowledge, as well asenvironmental sustainability.Keywords: Local Wisdom, Bilih, fenomologis

ABSTRACTThis aims of this studied to inventory the fisheries publication media issued by the procvincial government agencies during 2013. Data collection used the studied of documentation on fisheries publication media. The study was conducted on September to Oktober 2013 at the 10 agencies that published media containing fisheries information.The result showed, the types of fisheries publication media issued by agencies in Riau Provincial Government amounted to 16 types namely; newspapers, magazines, tabloids, books, booklets, leaflets folders, buletins, journals, advocacy media, posters, calendars, billboards, video, online media, and television shows.The amount of publication of fisheries information publized by agencies in Riau Provincial Government on 2013 was 621.289.560cm2. Media provides the most space for publishing fisheries information was newspapers352.102.059 cm2 (56,67%) and the least was television show 182.700 cm2 (0,03%). The types of fisheries information that most widely publicized were fisheries socioeconomic (41,12%), aquculture (24,35%), aquatic product technology (24,05%), fisheries resource management (4,55%), aqutic product management (3,36%), and marine (2,55%).Keywords: Media Publication, Fisheries Information, Agencies

This research had been conducted on 10-20 of august in 2015 at Dompas village, Bukit Batu sub-district, Bengkalis district, Riau Province. The methode which was used in this research is qualitative methode. This kind of methode was chosen because the way how to get the data or information directly from the area by emphasizing more on the aspect of face to face and listening directly to the informations or explanations. Fishermans’ perception on the material of the investigation program given had an influence on the real application in the area where the fisherman applied the recommendation of investigation team about the convension of terubuk fish. This program could also said that it did not take serious impact on fishermans’ revenue. The program conducted should be consistent in implementing. It means that the plan of program should be continously done. It is in order to make the fishermans able to understand well what they will be done for the future. Then, the team should frequently do such a coordination or reviewing in order to know how far the developmnet has been achieved after the fishery investigation in Dompas village, Bukti Batu sub-district, Bengkalis district, Riau Province. This research was conducted on March 2016 in Delima Jaya Village, Kerinci Kanan District, Siak Regency, Riau Province. The objective of this research was to find out the assessment ofextentor, the success of fish farmer, to analyze the correlation between the extentor performance and the success of fish farmer. The method used in this research was survey method. The population of this research was the members of Kelapa Jaya Group who did fish cultivation which were 15 people. Therefore, the member of the respondents of this research was 15 people. Based on the result of research, the extentor performance in Delima Jaya village is categorized as good. It is proven by the final analysis scoring 279 which is around 226-316. Likewise the success of the fish farmers is also categorized as good, it is proven by the average scoring 681 which is around 501-750. The correlation is categorized as strong which proven by the Rank Spearman analysis scoring .658**. It means that ther is positive and significant (strong) correlation between the instructur’s performance and the success of the fish farmers which is around 0,600- 0,799. The research was conducted in Langgam Village Pelalawan Subdistrict Riau Province on April 2015. The research was aimed to determine the extent of the effectiveness of fisheries extension activities in the Village Langgam by the survey method. The responden was determined by sensus. The extension activities in the Village Langgam is controlling OP (pests) in fish. Effectiveness of fisheries extension in the Village Langgam not effective it is seen from the stage of knowledge the percentage of responden at the stage of analyzing and integrating only reached 50%, at the stage of attitude the percentage of responden in assessment and organizing stages reached 40%, at the stage skill the percentage of responden in the stage familiar, skilled, and addaptation reaches 50%. Low participation of fish farmers to events held by PPL become a problem being constrained of counselling actifity.Keywords : Actifity Counseling, Counseling Effectiveness, Fish Farmers

This research was conducted in February 2017 in Koto Mesjid Village, Kampar Regency, Riau Province. The selection of the location of this research is done deliberately because the village of Koto Mesjid is an area that most of the fish farmers and almost every house has Wi-Fi access so that this village also bears the title of "Digital Village". This research uses qualitative approach. Informants in this research are the fish farmers in the Koto Mesjid village. The Characteristics of the use of cyber extension on fish farmers in the village of Koto Mesjid can be seen from the age of cultivators that is productive age, the level of higher education and the influence of the surrounding environment. The practice of using cyber extension to fish farmers in Koto Mesjid Village is by inter connecting access, internet calling and chatting. Sources of information obtained from several websites, groups and individuals that can be utilized for fish farming. Utilization of cyber extension on fish farmers in the village of Koto Mesjid can be said to be very useful. This can be seen with the existence of cyber extension, fish farmer become very helpful in finding information that can be applied to the aquaculture fishery activities.Key Word: utilization, cyber extention, fish farmer, interconnecting access.

Research on the Relationship of Environmental Condition With Fisherman's Happiness was held in January 2017 in Limbungan Village, Rumbai Pesisir Sub District, Pekanbaru City, Riau Province. This study aims to determine what factors determine the happiness of fishermen and know the relation of environmental conditions with the happiness of fishermen. The method used in this research is the survey method that is used Spearman Rank and the number of respondents in this study are 30 respondents who processed using SPSS 20 applications.From the results of the research analysis, it was found that the happiness of fishermen in Limbungan Village was influenced by age factor, successful year, number of dependents, income, work experience, housing condition, social relationship, religious activity and security. From several factors, the relationship of environmental conditions with the happiness of fishermen in Limbungan village significant correlated with social relations with the value of rs = 0,393 * and religious activity with value rs = 0,424 *. Values on social relations and religious activities are categorized having a significant relationship will fishman’s happinees.Keywords: relation, environmental condition, fisherman's happiness

This research was conducted on 28 July to 14 August 2013 in the PerhentianLuas Village, Logas Tanah Darat District, Kuantan Singingi Regency, Riau Province.This research purposed to investigate the characteristics of fish farmers, knew theattitude of farmers towards government assistance, knew the relationship betweencharacteristics of multiple variables with farmers attitude towards governmentassistance. This research used survey method. Respondents in this research was fishfarmers who received government assistance.Results of farmers attitudes toward government aid analysis was mostly good,namely 64.29%. Farmers attitude towards farming activities also showed a goodattitude at 50.00%. Results of farmers attitude analysis with some characteristicsvariables obtained after correlated have known that the relationship between age didnot correlate perfectly to the assistance with rs 0.062 its smaller than the value of P(0.832). While on production value greater than (0.344) P (0.228) mean age hadeffect on tilapia farming activities. Education was not perfectly correlated to the aidand on production with a value of 0.125 Spearman rank correlation value less than P(0.670) and the value of correlation Spearman Rank. While income was not perfectlycorrelated to aid with rs 0.212, less than P value (0.466), as well as on aquacultureactivities, it’s smalleer than P (0.744) that’s mean income didn’t have effect onaquaculture.Kata Kunci : Attitude, Government assistance, Aquaculture.

The Study was conducted in February 2017 in Sungai Piring village, Batang Tuaka subdistrict, Indragiri Hilir regency. This study aims to determine the workiload of women in the fishermen’s family from perspective gender point of view. This study using participatory actiob research (PAR) method. The objects of this study were the fishermen’s wives and the respondents were 20 wives with 3 informan. The research used purposive sampling and the methods of data collection was using observation, interview and documentation. The analysis technique that is used is descriptive analysis. The result shows that the workload of the fishermen’s wives are more difficult than their husband, it is proved by the working schedule fishermen wife which more intense than husband.Keyword: gender, workload, participatory action research (PAR)
