Abstract

This study was conducted at fish breeding and hatchery laboratory ofFisheries and Marine Science Faculty, University of Riau. Mature female ofselais fish used in the study were between 45-50 g body weight and male fishwere between 44-55 g body weight. Study method used in the study wasexperimental method, while data was analised by descriftive method. Theresultsof the study show that the highest percentage of fertilized eggs found on thetreatment of D0, 3W7 (fish injected with sGnRH + Domperidon 0,3 ml/kg andlaten time of 7 hours), and the highest percentage of eggs hatch was found on thetreatment of D0,5W8 and D0,7W6. However, treatment without injection withsGnRH + domperidon was no single fish was ovulated. Water quality duringexperiment was always in good condition for living. Keywords: Ompok rhadinurus Ng, sGnRH + Domperidon, ovulation. fertilizedeggs, laten time.

Abstract

The research on rearing of green catfish larvae (Hemibagrus nemurus) with different protein source of paste feed was carried out for 40 days in the Laboratory of Fish Hatchery and Breeding Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences University of Riau. The aim of this study was to evaluate the substitution of tubifex worm with different protein sources of paste feed. Protein sources used were squid meal, fish meal, cockle meal and mysid meal. The effect on growth and survival was determined.Result showed that tubifex worm cauld not be substituted by the paste feed in rearing green catfish larvae for 40 days rearing period. Among the paste feed, the squid meal protein source paste feed was the best and more efficient in term of highest survival rate and the lowest cost per fish. Keywords: paste feed, growth, survival Hemibagrus nemurus larva

Abstract

A research was conducted from 3 Desember 2014 to 1 January 2015 at the Laboratory of Fish Hatchery and Breeding, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science, University of Riau. This the growth and survival rate of Climbing Perch larvae (Anabas testudineus), fed on the natural food combinated such as Artemia naupli, water flea and Tubifex sp. The container used was 18 unit, 30x30x30 cm aquarium. The research method was experimental design with a completely randomized design (CRD) with six treatments and three replications. The treatment were A1T3 (one week given the Artemia sp and three week of the Tubifex sp). A2T2 (two week given Artemia sp and two week of the Tubifex sp). A3T1 (three week given Artemia sp and one week of the Tubifex sp). WF1T3 (one week given water flea and the three week of the Tubifex sp). WF2T2 (two week given water flea and two week of the Tubifex sp). WF3T1 (three week given water flea and one week of the Tubifex sp).The results showed that the A1T3 with the absolute weight growth (1,4850g), weight daily growth (22,55%) and the absolute length growth (40,33mm). The best survival rate in the WF2T2 (63,33%). The average % water temperature, pH and dissolved oxygen 270C, 6 and 4.8 ppm respectively.Keyword : Larvae betok (Anabas testudineus), growth, survival rate

Abstract

This study was conducted for 30 days from 29 October until 28 November 2013, in Hatchery and Fish Breeding Laboratory of Fisheries and Marine Sciences University of Riau. The aim of the study was to determine the effect of longeth radiation and heat shock differently toward ginogenesis shealtfish (Ompok rhadinurus Ng) fertilized by spermatozoa catfish (Pangasius hypophthalmus). The experiental used in this study with 2 factors and 10 treatments. The treatments were density of control hybridization and spermatozoa radiation with ultraviolet light (1, 2 and 3 minutes) and then performed for 1 minute after conception with heat shock 40°C (1, 2 and 3 minutes). The best treatment was 2 minutes while radiation performed for 1 minute after fertilization with heat shock of 40°C for 1 minutes (P2F1K1) with a success percentage of 95.67%. The water quality parameters along the research period were recoerded such as temperature 23-250 C, pH 5-6 and dissolved oxygen (DO) 5-7.5 mg/l respectively. Keywords : Ginogenesis, Long radiation, long heat shock, Ompok radhinurus Ng

Abstract

The aims of this research was to determine the response of green catfish (Hemibagrus nemurus) fry on the use of chickpea leaves (Vigna sinensis)  fermented in the feed to spurred growth and feed efficiency and to find out the best given percentage of chickpea leaves to the maximum growth of green catfish fry. This research used Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with one factor, five treatments and three replications. The substitution ratio of soybean flour with chickpea leaves flour were P1=100% : 0%; P2 = 95% : 5%; P3 = 90% : 10%; P4 = 85% : 14% and P5 = 80% : 20%. The parameters were observed  concsist of digestibility of feed, feed efficiency, protein retention and specific growth rate of green catfish fry. The  result showed that the chickpea leaves fermented in feed can replace soybean flour as a protein source in green catfish feed. The treatment in P4 (85% - 15%) were the best treatment with digestibility of feed 45,95%, feed efficiency 34,25%, protein retention 26,98% specific growth rate 4,18% and for feed cost analysis was Rp.7960   Keyword : Chickpea leaves, Feed, Hemibagrus nemurus.

Abstract

Silk worms are one type of live food favored because it has nutrients that are good for the growth of fish larvae. This study aims to determine the effect of stocking density and feeding tofu to a different frequency on the growth of silk worms. This study was conducted in 26 March to 22 May 2016 located at Jln. Kamboja No. 38, Simpang Baru, Panam, Pekanbaru. The media used in the research is a mixture of mud, dung quail, pulp, bran, sand and EM4. The material used is silk worms obtained from collectors. This research was conducted by an experimental method using a completely randomized design (CRD) factorial with 2 factors and 3 levels of treatment and repeated three times. The treatment in this treatment: P45F1: stoking density 45 g and Frequency 1x1 days, P45F2: stoking density 45 g and Frequency 1x2 days, P45F3: stoking density 45 g and Frequency 1x3 days, P55F1: stoking density 55 g and Frequency 1x1 days, P55F2 : Solid Tebar 55 g and Frequency 1x2 days, P55F3: Solid Tebar 55 g and Frequency 1x3 days, P65F1: stoking density 65 g and Frequency 1x1 days, P65F2: stoking density 65 g and Frequency 1x2 days, P65F3: stoking density 65 g and frequency 1x3 days. The data observed in the form of biomass growth, population, length growth and quality of water. The results of the study, indicating that the stocking density and feeding tofu with different frequenci es no significant effect (P> 0.05) on the growth of biomass, population and the growth of length silk worms. The highest growth of biomass was obtained in treatment P55F3 (stocking density 55g and Frequency 1x3 days) is 185.67 g / 0.098 m2. The highest the growth of length obtained in the treatment P45F1 (stocking density 45g and frequency of 1x1 days) is 1.47 cm and for growth of population is highest in treatment P55F2 (stocking density 55g and frequency of 1x2 days) is 41661.33 ind / 0.098 m2. Water quality during the research for the values of temperature, pH, Dissolved Oxygen (DO) are still in a reasonable range. Based on the results of this study concluded that the stocking density and feeding different tofu can promote the growth of silk wormsKey words: Tubifex sp., stoking density, Frequency, feses of quail., Biomass, population, the growth of length
