Abstract

This research was conducted in February 2017 located in Bangliao Hasan, Bagan Barat Village, Bangko SubDistrict Rokan Hilir Regency. This research is aimed to know the distribution channel of sea fishery fish catching commodity which landed in Bangliao Hasan and to know the amount of marketing margin at every level of marketing institute of marine fishery commodity in Bangliao Hasan. The method used in this study is the survey method with the number of respondents as many as 50 people consisting of 1 owner of bangliao (tauke), 6 workers in bangliao, 10 fishermen, 8 agents, 2 restaurant owners, 15 retailers and 8 people of along-along where the determination of respondents conducted by census. Based on research result it is known that the institutions that play a role in the distribution of fish catch marketing in Bangliao Hasan are fishermen, tauke, agents, retailers and along-along (retailers who sells by traveling around) as well as consumers with a distribution pattern consisting of three distribution chains and the conclusion that can be taken the highest total marketing margin found in Stingray fish IDR 31.000,- and the lowest marketing margin found in Mackerel fish equal to IDR 19.000,-

Abstract

The promotion of processed fish products can increase the marketing volume and welfare of fish processors. Hangtuah Village in Perhentian Raja District, Kampar Regency, Riau Province, is one of the most potential producers of processed fish in the regency. The potential of this product needs to be promoted through social media (ie Facebook, Instagram and Blog), because its distribution is still limited.Therefore, fish processors, fishermen's wives and girls in the village need to be trained.The aim of the service activity is to train participants so that they: (1) can understand the role of social media as a medium for the promotion of processed fish products; (2) able to create text content, photo content and video content to promote products; and (3) being able to create a social media account and promote promotional content on that social media.This activity resulted in: (1) the trainees understood the role of social media as a media to promote processed fish products; (2) participants are able to make text, photo and video content, for the promotion of processed fish products; and participants are able to create three social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram and Blog) and share the content through social media.

Abstract

Buana Bakti is one of the viallages in Siak Regency which has high potential to be developed for freshwater fish culture. This community service activity in Buana Bakti Village is the answer to the hopes and requests of the community, especially the fish cultivator groups in the village. Activities carried out by providing counseling and training on fish farming techniques with the biofloc system which are currently being developed and proven to increase household income by utilizing limited available house yards. The focus of the activity is on learning and practice of making fish ponds culture with a biofloc system as well as technical fish culture for commercial purposes to meet the needs of fish supply in the area and its surroundings. In addition, it is also hoped that there will be more information exchange and transfer of simple knowledge and technology in an effort to open people's thinking horizons and provide business opportunities that can be done to improve their welfare by utilizing local resources. Activities carried out in collaboration with students participating in the Integrated Real-Work Lecture received a good perception and appreciation from the village community, especially the fish cultivator group, the Village Head Master and also from the Siak Regency Fisheries Extension Officer. It is hoped that the facilities and infrastructure provided in the training would be able empower other groups and communities to open businesses in fish farming using the biofloc system. Based on the calculations carried out, fish farming with the biofloc system can provide benefits with a B/C ratio of 1.7, IRR of 0.6 and ROI of 157%.
