Abstract

This research was conducted in September until November 2018 in the Tapung Kiri River Basin in Kampar Regency. Data analyze the water quality conditions in terms of physical, chemical, microbiological and heavy metal parameters, estimating incoming pollutant loads, measuring waters assimilation capacity, and determining pollution index values and the socio-economic impact of the community around the waters of the Tapung Kiri River. Sampling and analysis of samples were carried out at 5 stations with 3 replications carried out both in the field and the laboratory. The results showed that water quality parameters namely TSS, BOD, COD, NH3, PO4, Fe and Total Coliform had exceeded the quality standard based on Government Regulation  No. 82 of 2001. The calculation of the pollutant load of the Tapung Kiri River waters indicates that the parameters TSS, BOD, COD, NH3, PO4, Oil and Fe have exceeded their assimilation capacity. The Tapung Kiri River is mild to moderate polluted based on Minister of Environment Decree No. 115 of 2003.

Abstract

In producing sago becomes sago flour be required 20,000 liters of water per ton of sago, where 94% of the water be liquid waste. If the liquid waste which has a high content of organic material is directly dumped into waters, it is very potentially pollute theenvironment. One of the liquid waste processing sago is using by hybrid anaerobic bioreactor two stages. Bioreactor performance is influenced by pH, alkalinity and volatile acid. The purpose of this research is to know the influence of flow rate feedback of pH, alkalinity and volatile acid in hybrid anaerobic bioreactor two stages and determine the stability of the bioreactor. This research was conducted by using hybrid anaerobic bioreactor two stages with stone as a medium for growth of microorganisms. The volume of work being used is equal to 10 liters in the first stage biorector and 20 liters in thesecond stage bioreactor with variated flow rate feedback in the second stage bioreactor, 2.86 liters/day, 4 liters/day and 6.67 liters/day. The results showed that the optimum of flow rate feedback obtained at 2.86 liters/day with an average pH of 6.8, alkalinity of 2341 mg/L, volatile acid of 38,67 mg/L and the stability of bioreactor of 0.0118.Keywords : Alkalinity; Anaerobic; Hybrid bioreactor; pH; Sago watewater; Two stages; Volatile acid

Abstract

At the end of 2022, precisely in October-November 2022, Pringsewu Regency experienced the worst flood disaster in the last 12 years. As many as three pekon (villages) in Pringsewu Regency, Lampung, were flooded after being showered with heavy rain overnight. One of the villages affected by the floods is the Sukoharjo Village. As a result, for rice fields that have poor drainage channels, rainwater creates new problems, especially for rice farmers. too much water inundated crops. Socialization and demonstrations can be used to increase the knowledge of a group of respondents. Socialization and demonstrations regarding making infiltration wells and biopori infiltration holes have been carried out to provide information and knowledge to respondents regarding groundwater conservation issues, to get to know rainwater infiltration wells and biopori infiltration holes to reduce floods and landslides during the rainy season and as raw water reserves for activities people during the dry season. The method of implementing this service is a pre-test and post-test in the form of filling out questionnaires to respondents, namely residents. The results of the activity showed an increase in the percentage of residents' knowledge which increased from 64.29% to 86.43%.
