Abstract

Bullying merupakan masalah serius yang harus segera diselesaikan karena memberikan dampak negatif dan trauma berkepanjangan dalam kehidupan seorang individu. Kasus bullying di sekolah banyak ditemukan di Indonesia maupun internasional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kondisi bullying pada anak usia sekolah di Pekanbaru dengan desain penelitian deskriptif dan pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel penelitian adalah 236 responden berusia 9-12 tahun yang diambil berdasarkan kriteria inklusi dengan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen pengukuran yang digunakan adalah kuesioner “Peer interaction in primary school” terdiri dari 22 item pertanyaan dengan 12 item terkait pertanyaan korban bullying dan 10 item pertanyaan yang berkaitan dengan pelaku bullying. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis univariat distribusi frekuensi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan mayoritas jenis kelamin responden laki-laki sebanyak 124 orang (52,5%), sebanyak 178 (75,4%) responden melakukan bullying kategori ringan, Sebanyak 176 orang (75,6%) responden menyatakan pelaku bullying adalah kakak kelas sebanyak 131 orang (55,5%) responden tidak menjadi pelaku bullying. Diharapkan pihak sekolah bersama dengan orang tua bekerjasama untuk melakukan upaya pencegahan bullying pada siswa, memberikan tindakan kepada siswa yang melakukan bullying dan yang menjadi korban bullying serta berupaya membentuk sekolah anti-bullying.

Abstract

Thirs is the general condition that have been in patient undergoing hemodyalisis causedby decrease secretion of saliva.The purpose of this research is to know effectiveness of chewing bubble gum and suck grape ice cube against thirst forpatient chronic kidney disease that undergoing hemodialysis that has been done at RSUD Arifin Ahmad Riau Province.The design of this research is quantative research with quasy eksperiment and pre test – post test design with twocomparisons approach with 34 respondents that taken by inclusion criteria that use purposive sampling technic. Theinstruments that use in this research is Visual Analogy Scale. The analysis in this research is bivariate that useWilcoxon and Mann-Whitney test. The result showed difference of average thirst score after and before chewing bubblegum with p value 0.029 > α (0.05). Difference of thirst score average after and before suck grape ice have p value0.000 < α (0.05). Difference of thirst score average on chewing bubble gum group and suck grape ice cube after givenintervention have p value 0.116 > α (0.05), that showed there is no difference average thirst score of chewing bubblegum and suck grape ice cube for patient chronic kidney disease that undergoing hemodialysis.Keyword: Chewing bubble gum, Chronic kidney disease, Suck grape ice cube, Thirst

Abstract

Hallucinations are disorders or changes in perception where patients perceive something that actually doesn't happen. An appreciation experienced by a perception through the external senses of stimulus: false perception. Hallucinatory control can be done with one of the therapeutic modalities, namely psychiatric therapy. One of the psychological therapies that can be used is the media of the Qur'an, especially the verses of the Qur'an which are common to meruqyah, namely surah Al-Fatihah, Ayat Kursi, Al-Kafirun, Al-Ikhlas, Al-Falaq, and An-Nas . This study aims to determine the effectiveness of murottal Al-Qur'an therapy on hallucinatory scores. This study uses a pretest-posttest design with control groups. The sample of this study was 33 respondents who were divided into 17 respondents in the experimental group and 16 respondents in the control group were taken based on inclusion criteria using a purposive sampling technique. Each experimental group was given intervention for 6 consecutive days. The measuring instrument used is the Hallucination Rating Scale (HRC) that has been standardized. The analysis used was univariate analysis using the Dependent sample T test and bivariate analysis using the Independent sample T test. Statistical results were obtained p value (0,000) < (α = 0,05) so it can be concluded that there were significant differences between the experimental group and the control group after murottal Al-Qur'an therapy on hallucination scores. Therefore, the Murottal Al-Qur'an therapy intervention is effective in reducing hallucinatory scores. The suggestions from researchers for nurses to apply murottal Al-Qur'an therapy to all mental disorders, because it has been proven in this study murottal Al-Qur'an therapy provides meaningful results on hallucinatory patients hallucination scores. Abstract

Adaptive coping mechanism is needed by nurses in dealing with workload, so nurses can provide good service to patients and families. The aim of this research is to determine the correlation of Nurse’s Workload to Coping Mechanisms inpatient care at Tampan Mental Institution Riau Province. This research was using descriptive correlational design with cross sectional approach. The number of sample was 48 nurses in wards taken with using total sampling technique. The instrument of this research was questionnaire with 25 statement of workload and 15 statement of coping mechanisms. Analysis used were univariate analysis to determine the frequency distribution and bivariate analysis using chi square. The result of the research shows that respondent that had a hard workload do the adaptive coping mechanism as manya as 15 people (65,2%), and the respondent that had hard workload do the maladaptive coping mechanism as many as 8 people (34,8%) while the respondent that had a light workload do the adaptive coping mechanism as many as 10 people (40%) and respondent who had a light workload do the maladaptive coping mechanism as manya as 15 people (60%). The statistical results showed p value (0,145) > α (0,05), it can be concluded that there is no correlation between nurses workload and coping mechanisms of nurse inpatient care in Tampan Mental Institution Riau Province. Even though there is no correlation, it is hoped that the Mental Institution can manage the workload in accordance with the rules that have been determined, so that the nurse is maximal in providing nursing services.   Keywords: Coping mechanisms, mental institution, workload of nurses

Abstract

Spiritual intelligence is closely related to the tranquility of the soul which will also affect the emotional mentalcondition. This study aims to determine the relationship between spiritual intelligence and emotional mentalcondition of adolescents. This research was conducted at SMPN 18 Pekanbaru Riau utilizing the descriptivecorrelation research design using cross sectional approach. There were 71 respondents as the samples of theresearch. They were taken based on the inclusion criteria using simple random sampling technique. The measuringtools used were the spiritual intelligence questionnaire and the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ). Theanalyses used were univariate analysis in order to know the frequency distribution and bivariate analysis usingalternative Fisher’s Exact Test. The results showed that among 53 respondents having high spiritual intelligence, 51respondents (96.2%) have abnormal emotional mental condition, and statistical test resulted in p value (1.000)>alpha (0.05). Therefore, it can be concluded that Ho failed to be rejected which means there was not anyrelationship between spiritual intelligence and emotional mental condition of adolescents. It is recommended thatparents and teachers should improve the emotional mental condition of the students at school.Keywords: Adolescents, EmotionalMental Problems, Spiritual Intelligence

Abstract

The incidence of emotional and mental problems in school-aged children will affect the child's emotional development that begins to develop with the fakfor of social support in the school environment because children are almost every day in school. This study aims to determine the relationship between social support in the school environment with emotional and mental problems in school-age children in Public Elementary School 033 and 134 Pekanbaru with descriptive research design correlation and cross sectional approach. The sample of this research was 98 respondents taken based on the inclusion criteria using Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling technique. The measuring tool used was a questionnaire for social support variables in the school environment and an emotional and mental questionnaire (KMME) questionnaire for emotional and mental problem variables. The analysis used was univariate analysis to know frequency distribution of respondent characteristic and bivariate analysis using Chi-Square test. The results show that there was no relationship of social support in the school environment such as teacher social support, school climate and peer support with emotional and mental problems. The result of bivariate analysis showed p value (0,374-1,00)> α (0,05) meaning that there is no correlation between social support in school environment with emotional and mental problem in school age children. Emotional and mental problems that occur in children is not only influenced by the school environment but many factors that affect as internal factors. It is suggested to pay more attention to the emotional and mental problems that occur in school-aged children so as not to impede the emotional development of children who get worse in the future.Keywords: Emotional and mental problem, school-aged children, school environment

Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding is a nutrient that is highly needed by the baby in the first six months of life. Working mothers require family support to be able to carry out exclusive breastfeeding practices and work. This study aimed to determine the relationship of family support and exclusive breastfeeding.The research design used was a correlational study with cross sectional approach. The place of research was in the working area of Harapan Raya Health Center that the technique of selecting the posyandu area for the sample of this research was using cluster sampling, while purposive sampling technique was applied to determine the sample consisting of 154 respondents. The instruments used were questionnaries. The bivariate data analysis used was Chi Square. The results showed that 51,3% of respondents received high family support with 49,4% giving exclusive breastfeeding to their babies. The results of data analysis using the Chi Square test showed that there was a relationship between family support and exclusive breastfeeding for working mothers (p value = 0.000 < α 0.05). The results of this study are expected to be used as recommendation for the Health Center to provide information about the importance of exclusive breastfeeding for infants aged 0-6 months and the significance of family support for working and breastfeeding mothers to be able to give breast milk exclusively.Keywords: Breastfeeding, family support, working mother

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a chronic disease characterized by high levels of glucose in the blood (hyperglycemia). DM consists of type I DM and type II DM. Type II DM can be caused by factors of age, gender, occupation or physical activity, and level of education. A person who suffers from DM is at risk of experiencing stress twice as much as someone who does not suffer from DM, especially during the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic. The purpose of this study was to describe the stress level of patients with type II DM during the Covid-19 pandemic. This type of research is quantitative research with descriptive research design. The research sample amounted to 74 respondents who were taken by purposive sampling technique. Determination of the sample using inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria. The measuring instrument used is the depression anxiety stress scale (DASS) questionnaire. The component taken from the DASS questionnaire is the stres component. The analysis used is univariate analysis which is displayed in the form of a frequency distribution table. The results showed most of the respondents experienced severe stress as many as 27 respondents (36.5%) and none experienced very severy stress. The results of this study are expected to be a source of information for nursing science and it is hoped that health workers at the Rejosari Pekanbaru Health Center are able to provide education to prevent and control the stress experienced by type II DM sufferers during the Covid-19 pandemic.Keywords: Coronavirus disease 2019, DASS, Diabetes mellitus, Stress

Abstract

Bidikmisi scholarship is an educational cost aid from the government of the Republic of Indonesia for student that has good academic potential but has economic limitation. Bidikmisi scholarship have several provisions, one of which is an IP above 3,00. These provisions can cause anxiety in bidikmisi recipient students. If this happens in the learning process, it will affect the results of their learning achievement. This study aims to determine the correlation between the level of student anxiety towards learning achievement. This research used descriptive analitic method with cross sectional approach. This research was conducted on Faculty of Teacher Training and Education also on Engineering Faculty students at the University of Riau as the sample using the cluster sampling technique. The measuring instrument used was a questionnaire developed by researchers and validity and reliability have been tested with cronbach alpha value 0,945. The analysis used was univariate analysis with frequency distribution and bivariate analysis using the Kruskall Wallis test. The results showed that 180 students (60,6%) that received bidikmisi scolarship have a moderate anxiety levels. The result of statistical tests show that there is no correlation between the level of anxiety of bidikmisi students towards learning achievement with p value= 0,450 > α (0,05). The result of this study are expected to be a source of information in the development of knowledge about the relationship between the level of anxiety of bidikmisi student towards learning achievement.Keywords: Anxiety, Bidikmisi Scholarship, Learning Achievement
