Abstract

Abstract:The research about approach science, environment, technology and society (SETS) in SMA Negeri 1 Ujungbatu has done. The aim of this research is to improve student achievement on the subject of the atomic structure and elements of the periodic system in class X Senior High School 1 Ujungbatu. The research used an experimental method using randomized control group pretest-posttest design. The Sample consists of 2 classes, X2 as an experiment class (applied approach SETS) and X5 as the control class (without approach SETS). Data analysis technique used t-test. Based on test data analysis obtained tcount>ttable is 6,76>1,67, meaning that the use of approach SETS can increase student achievement on the subject of the atomic structure and elements of the periodic system in class X Senior High School 1 Ujungbatu. The increasing of student learning achievment category (N-Gain) is high 0.71.Key words:Learning Achievement, Approach SETS, The Atomic Structure and Elements of the Periodic System

Abstract

Abstrak: The aim of this research were to know misconceptions and the category level of misconceptions in the second year students of SMA Negeri 2 Pekanbaru aboutt concepts of chemical equallibrium. This research took place in SMA Negeri 2 Pekanbaru and the data were collected on April 2017. was all the students of XI MIA class of four classes. The population consisted of 161 students. The sample was all the population. This research was descriptive quantitative. The technique of collecting data used diagnostic test and interview. The result showed that students found misconception in the definition concept of chemical equallibrium with the percentage was 34,78% (category of average), for the concept of heterogen and homogen was 36,335% (average), the concept of dissociation degree was 33,54% (average), the concept of Kc measurement was 43,785% (average), the concept of Kp measurement was 27,55% (poor), the principle concept of Le Chatelier was 36,764% (average), the concept of using chemical equallibrium in world industry was 23,60% (poor).Key Word : Chemical Equallibrium Misconception, Diagnostic Test,Three-Tier Multiple Choices

Abstract

Abstract: This Research was aimed to find out the relationship and the magnitude of the relationship between student’s perception of chemistry with chemistry student learning result SMAN 9 Pekanbaru. The kind of research is quantitative-qualitative research which used survey method, correlational and interview. The population of research is all student SMAN 9 Pekanbaru year lesson 2013/2014. The sample consisted of 246 people of class X, XI science, and XII science. Data collection techniques are documentation technique, questionnaire and interview. Data analysis technique is the correlation test. Based on the final calculation result obtained tvalue is 6.817 > ttable is 1.645 it which means that the hypotheses is accepted or with the other word there is relationship between student’s perception of chemistry with chemistry student learning result SMAN 9 Pekanbaru with the magnitude of the relationship is 16%.Keywords : Perception, Chemistry Lesson, Learning Result.

Abstract

Abstract: Implementation of Reciprocal Teaching model to improve student activity and learning mastery of solubility and solubility product in class XI MIA 6 SMAN 1 Pekanbaru has been conducted. The student activities that corrected were embrace, ask question, done the exercises and group discussion. The improvement of students learning activities implies an increase in mastery learning students. The subject of this research were 27 students that involved conducted in two cycles of learning. Each cycle consisted of two meetings through four stages, they are planning, action, observation, and reflection. The data of this research was collected by using observation sheet and test. The result showed that student activity was increased and achieved the standard criteria. The student activity at the first cycle was 49,64% and at the second cycle was 63,76% with good criteria. It was found out that there was improvement in students Learning Mastery and the standard criteria was achieved. The first and the second cycle average percentage of learning mastery were 70,37% and 85,18% respectively. Based on the result, was concluded that application of Reciprocal Teaching model can improve student activity and learning mastery.Keyword : Reciprocal Teaching, Student Activities, Learning Mastery Student

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to know the improve of students learning achievement by using Genius Learning strategy on the topic of the colloid in class XI science senior high school 2 Siak Hulu. This research was experimental research with pretest-postest design. The sample of this research were students of class XI science 4 as the experimental research and students of class XI science 3 as a control class that has been randomly selected after a test of normally and homogenity test. Experiment class is a class that is applied Genius Learning strategy while the control class was not. Data analysis technique used is t-test. Based on analysis of the data obtained tcount > ttable is 1,89 > 1,67, it is mean that the apllication of Genius Learning strategy can improved students learning achievement on the topic of the colloid in class XI science senior high school 2 Siak Hulu. The category improvement of student achievement at experiment class was high category with N-gain normalized is 0,79. Meanwhile, the category improvement of student achievement in control class was medium category with N-gain normalized is 0,68. Genius Learning strategy can activate the students in learning process to improve the students achievement in learning.Keywords : Learning Achievement, Genius learning, colloid

Abstract

Abstract: Purpose of this study was to develop learning media based on Adobe Flash CS4 chemistry to produce a decent learning media on the subject of chemical bonding that is developed based on the feasibility aspect of design, pedagogy, content, ease of use in Chemical Education Program. This media development research using ADDIE model of which has 5 stages of development, namely analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. Model development is modified by the only research to the development phase (development). Results of research-based instructional media development Adobe Flash CS4 on the subject of chemical bonds that have been validated by a validator to be feasible with an average percentage of 97.45% and 91.37%. This indicates that the learning generated media fit for use as a medium of learning.

Abstract

Abstract: The research about the learning cell type of cooperative learning model has been conducted in SMAN 2 Pekanbaru. The purpose of this research is to improve the student achievement on the topic solubility and constant solubility product (Kelarutan dan Hasil Kali Kelarutan Ksp) in class XI SMAN 2 Pekanbaru. The type of this research is experimental research with experiment design randomized control group pretest-posttest. Sample of the research consisted of two classes, a class XI MIA2 as an experimental class (implemented the learning cell type of cooperative learning model) and class XI MIA1 as the control class (without the learning cell type of cooperative learning model). T-test was used as analysis technique. Based on the data analysis obtained t > t table i.e 3.63 > 1.66, meaning that the application of the learning cell type of cooperative learning model can improve the student achievement on the subject solubility and constant solubility product (Ksp) in class XI SMA Negeri 2 Pekanbaru. The improvement of the student achievement category (N-Gain) as high as 0.82.Keywords: Student Achievement, The Leraning Cell Type Of Cooperative Learning Model, solubility and constant solubility product (Ksp).

Abstract

Abstract: The research aims to increase student learning achievement on the topic of hydrocarbons in class X Senior High School (SMAN) 9 Pekanbaru. The research were implemented in SMAN 9 Pekanbaru started at beggining May until June 2015. Population of this research is class X1 until class X4. The research is using randomized control group pretest-posttest design. The Analysis technique used normality Liliefors to see same variance samples. After doing normality and Homogeneity test. The samples of this research were the students of class X1 as the experimental class and students of class X3 as the control class. Experimental class is a class that is applied to media Exe Learning while the control class was not. Data analysis technique used is the t-test. Based on data dk (34 +34)-2 =66 and α= 0,05 obtained ttable 1,66 and tcount 4,29. tcount> ttable is 4,29>1.66, means  that the application of media Exe Learning can improve student learning achievement on the topic of hydrocarbons in class X Senior High School (SMAN) 9 Pekanbaru. The category improvement of student achievement at experiment class was high category with N-gain normalized is 0,70. The research is a kind of experiment research with pretest-posttest design. The sample consists of two classes, class XI science 3 as an experimental class and class XI science 4 as the control class is determined randomly after normality test and homogeneity test. Experimental class is a class that is applied of discovery learning while the control class was not. Data analysis technique used is the t-test. Based on data analysis of data obtained tcount>ttable is 3,52> 1,66 means that the implementation of discovery learning model can improve student learning achievement on the topic of colloid in XI science class of SMAN 2 Tambang. The result show that the average n-gain ternormalisasi in control class was 0,58 and eksperiment class was 0,75.
