Abstract

This research was carried out in Tlogomas, Malang. The goal of this study is to find out how interaction between root and soil physics condition in inceptisol. This interaction will give implication in roots distribution of corn in the soil. This research using mapping and pinboard tehnique to capture the root distribution in the soil and lassified in big, middle, and small roots. Mapping technique used to count number of root that shown in the soil profile. Pinboard technique used to get roots and divide into grid system to measure roots distribution each depth of soil. The result of this research shows that soil dry weight decreasing into deeper soil. Horisontally, root distributed 50 cm from the steam. Mapping and pinboard technique that applied together will give more effecctive information about root distribution.

Abstract

School as an institution where children get education, teaching and learning so that the school produced a superior human beings and qualified. Kartasura PCM is one of the flagship PCM in PDM Sukoharjo have elementary school level that has been known in the community, namely: MIM PK Muhammadiyah Kartasura, MIM Pucangan, Kertonatan MIM, MIM Gonilan and SDIT Al Kawthar Makamhaji Kartasura. The current fifth that grade school has a good reputation in the community. This community service aimed to increased awareness of the environment from all components of school at Muhammadiyah Elementary schools in PCM Kartasura. The first stage wasthe policy workshop school by school leaders and teachers, the second was distribute the grant of trash cans and posters, the third stage wasparticipatory education of Hole Infiltration Biopori and the fourth stage was monitoring. Monitoring results found that posters used as it should be, but the trash cans are still not being used properly, placement of trash cans were not side by side and still foundedthe organic waste mix with an organic waste in the same trash cans. This community service is an initial step the realization of school basedeco-school

Abstract

IPS  dengan  platform  keruangan  (spasial)  Geografi  menuntut  kemampuan  guru  geografi dapaT men yajikankan secara   terpadu   hubungan manusia dengan lingkungannya (integrative social      studies), bukan sebagai pendidikan disiplin ilmu. Kompetensi profesional    guru geografi   untuk   dapat   men yajikan   materi secara keruangan, disebut sebagai  kompetensi pembelajaran   spasial,   menjadi   ukuran   profesionalitas   guru   geografi mendidik  untuk mengenali  dan  memahami  interelasi,  interkoneksi,  dan interdependensi antar obyek-obyek material Geografi. Pembentukan spatial knowledge bagi peserta didik akan  tercipta  apabila guru   memiliki    spatial   competency   dimana   mampu   men yediakan sendiri  peta  yang merujuk  Standar  Nasional  Indonesia  (SNI),  yaitu  dengan  seri  6502.X-2010 sebagai media pembelajaran Geografi. Hasil surve y yang dilakukan oleh Tim Dosen Pendidikan  Geografi UMS  terhadap  guru-guru  Geografi  di  SMA  di  berbagai  kota  di  Jawa  dan  Luar  Jawa didapati  bahwa  kemampuan  spatial  guru  masih  rendah  hal   serta  kurangnya  alat  yang mendukung untuk pengembangan kemampuan spasial baik secara hard maupun softprogram yaitu   program  ArcGis.10.2.  Permasalahan  mitra  adalah   (1) Guru   Geografi belum dapat membuat media pembelajaran spasial untuk media proses pembelajaran Mata Pelajaran Geografi sesuai standar SNI 6502.X-2010, (2) Belum memahami cara membaca dan menginterpretasi peta/citra/penginderaan jauh  untuk  pembelajaran Geografi,  (3)  Belum memahami penerapan pengetahuan spasial dalam  proses pembelajaran. Pengabdian dilakukan untuk  meningkatkan kemampuan   spasial   guru      Geografi   di    Sukoharjo   melalui   Model   Peta   yang  telah dikembangkan oleh Pendidikan Geografi UMS. Model Peta tepat diimplementasikan pada  guru- guru  Geografi  SMA  di  Sukoharjo  karena  dapat  merupakan solusi dari permasalahan mitra, melalui quality  control dari  guru  terpilih  maka  dapat mentransfer kepada guru-guru yang lain sehingga guru dapat membuat produk media pembelajaran spasial secara mandiri.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to improve student learning in geography subjects at class X of MA Muhammadiyah Gantung Belitung Timur in academic year 2018/2019 using the Jigsaw strategy. The subject of the study was class X, amounting to 22 students. This research is a quasi-experimental research with pretest-posttest design. This study uses a control and experimental group. The conclusion of this research is the implementation of Jigsaw strategy can improve the effectiveness of students in learning geography in class X of MA Muhammadiyah Gantung Belitung Timur. This is consistent with the results of the N-Gain Test in the experimental group which has an average of 31.97 and the control group has an average of 12.52 therefore, the experimental group has a medium value and the control group shows a low value. N-Gain test data showed that the experimental group learning was more effective than the control group. Learning outcomes between the experimental group and the control group showed a difference, the control group had an average pre-test value of 60 and an average post-test of 65. The experimental group had an average score of 61.82 and the post-test -test 74.09. The experimental group had higher pre-test and post-test scores compared to the control group, therefore Ha was accepted while Ho was rejected, this shows that the use of jigsaw learning strategies in the experimental group was effective in increasing students' knowledge and understanding of earth material as the space of life.

Abstract

Learning Geography in the classroom is less effective, so learning strategies are required. The outdoor study strategy is a type of learning strategy in which teaching and learning activities take place outside of the classroom. The purpose of this systematic review is to identify outdoor study learning in Geography in high school. This is a qualitative study using a systematic review method. Narrative analysis is used in this research design. The findings of a study on outdoor study learning in Geography subjects at the high school level have been widely applied to environmental and sustainable development materials, which were obtained in 7 journals (29 percent), and based on the research findings measured variables related to outdoor studies, namely learning outcomes, which were obtained in 19 journals (79 percent). Based on the findings of this systematic review, it is possible to conclude that the outdoor study strategy can be used at all levels of education. Furthermore, the outdoor study strategy can increase activity, enthusiasm, motivation, responsibility, respect for others, care for the environment, make it easier for students to understand the material, and improve learning outcomes. learners.Pembelajaran Geografi kurang efektif jika dilakukan di dalam kelas sehingga membutuhkan strategi pembelajaran. Strategi outdoor study merupakan suatu strategi pembelajaran dimana kegiatan belajar mengajar dilakukan diluar kelas. Penelitian systematic review ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi pembelajaran outdoor study dalam mata pelajaran Geografi di SMA. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode systematic review. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan analisis naratif. Hasil penelitian pembelajaran outdoor study dalam mata pelajaran Geografi di jenjang SMA banyak diterapkan pada materi lingkungan hidup dan pembangunan berkelanjutan diperoleh 7 jurnal (29 persen), dan berdasarkan variabel hasil penelitian yang diukur terkait outdoor study yaitu hasil belajar diperoleh 19 jurnal (79 persen). Berdasarkan systematic review ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa strategi outdoor study dapat diterapkan pada semua tingkat satuan pendidikan selain itu, melalui strategi outdoor study dapat meningkatkan keaktifan, semangat, motivasi, tanggung jawab, menghargai sesama, peduli lingkungan, memudahkan siswa memahami materi, dan meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik.
