Abstract

Sastra merupakan respresentatif pengarang terhadap realita sosial yang terjadi dan didalamnya terdapat pesan yang disampaikan oleh pengarang kepada pembacanya dan dapat dijadikan sebagai media pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai edukatif yang ada dalam novel Sebait Cinta di Bawah Langit Kairo karya Mahmud Jauhari Ali. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pustaka atau penelitian yang bersifat kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai pendidikan yang terdapat dalam novel Sebait Cinta Di Bawah Langit Kairo terdapat empat nilai yaitu: Nilai pendidikan religius, nilai pendidikan moral, nilai pendidikan sosial, dan nilai pendidikan budaya Sedangkan nilai pendidikan yang paling dominan dalam novel Sebait Cinta di Bawah Langit Kairo adalah nilai pendidikan religiusLiterature is the representation of the social reality that occurs and there are messages conveyed by the author to the reader and can be used as learning media. This study aims to decribes educative values in Sebait Cinta di Bawah Langit Kairo novel by Mamud Jauhari Ali. This type of research is library research or qualitative research. The results of the research show that there are four educative values contained in the novel Kreation Mamud Jauhari Ali which are the value of religious education, the value of moral education, the value of social education, and the value of cultural education. The most dominant value of education in this novel is the value of religious education.

Abstract

This study investigates how the students of the Department of English Education, Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta express their anger in English as anger is an expression which relies on contexts. The students’ conversations which contained anger expression were recorded. The expressions were analyzed based on pragmatic aspects: pragmalinguistic forms, communicative intention, context, and cultural background. The results showed that the students, mostly Javanese, did not use cursing or swearing forms in expressing anger in English which are typically in ‘direct anger’ and ‘introductory anger’. Interestingly, although Javanese people arewell-known as calm people, the students mostly rise their intonation in expressing their anger feeling in English.

Abstract

Poetry can be viewed from various aspects, including the strata of norms, semiotics, the meaning of class, and so on. The purpose of this research is to describe the form of the poetry "sebab dikau" based on norm literature in terms of layers of the world and metaphysical layers and reveal the meaning contained in the poetry. This research uses the literature method. The data in this study were verbal in the form of words contained in the poetry "sebab dikau" by Amir Hamzah. The results showed that the poetry "sebab dikau" by Amir Hamzah was formed by 5 stanzas. Each verse consists of 4 lines. So, the total of the whole poetry consists of 20 lines. The first verse rhymes ab-aa, the second stanza rhymes ab-ab, the third stanza rhymes ab-ab, the fourth stanza rhymes ab-aa, and the fifth stanza rhymes ab-ab. The first sound of alliteration, namely alliteration k is in verse I and V, alliteration m is in verse I, alliteration l is in verse II and III, alliteration t, s is in verse III, alliteration g is in verse IV. Furthermore, the sound of romance a is found in verses I, III, and IV, the sound of annoyance i is in verse II, the sound of annoyance u is in verse II and verse III, the sound of annoyance e is found in verse IV and verse V. In the analysis of the poetry, I showing pleasure to the girl or lover, who gives all hope to life. In my heart, I grow in love and bloom like a fragrant flower that feels to the core. But my life feels like a dream, like the puppets on the screen and then he realizes that life is only brief. In essence, theme and his lover are a (thee) puppet that pleases the mastermind who plays humans like puppets. Keywords: alliteration, assonance, stanza, lines

Abstract

Tujuan umum penelitian ini adalah 1) untuk menganalisis potensi pariwisata pantai di Kabupaten Buru dan 2) membuat strategi pengembangan pariwisatadi Kabupaten Buru Adapun teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah survey lapangan (field study), wawancara (interview), studi dokumentasi, dan studi literatur. Tempat yang dipilih sebagai lokasi penelitian adalah pantai Jikumarasa dan pantai La Raba. Sumber data dari para responden, yakni masyarakat sekitar kawasan objek wisata, wisatawan, Dinas Pariwisata serta pengelola objek wisata. Analisis data menggunakan analisis SWOT. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 1) potensi pariwisata pantai Jikumerasa dan pantai La Raba terlihat pada potensi internal dan potensi eksternal. Potensi internal pantai Jikumerasa dapat dilihat pada dua kriteria, yakni (a) kualitas daya tarik wisata pantai Jikumerasa meliputi tersedianya informasi pantai via daring dan luring; (b) kondisi daya tarik wisata pantai Jikumerasa tampak pada kondisi alam dan kondisi sosial. Potensi eksternal pantai Jikumerasa terlihat adanya dukungan pengembangan, tersedianya aksesbilitas, dilengkapi sarana prasarana. Potensi internal pantai La Raba dapat dilihat pada dua kriteria (a) kualitas daya tarik wisata pantai La Raba dilengkapi dengan tempat bersantai seperti adanya ayunan dan gazebo; (b) kondisi daya tarik wisata pantai La Raba tampak pada kondisi alam dan kondisi sosial. Potensi ekternal pantai La Raba terlihat adanya dukungan pengembangan dari berbagai pihak, tersedianya aksesbilitas serta pengadaan sarana dan prasarana seperti snorkeling dan diving. Adapun strategi pengembangan pariwisata pantai Jikumerasa dan pantai La Raba di Kabupaten Buru sebagai berikut sesering mungkin update berita terbaru tentang kondisi dan keunikan pantai baik lewat daring ataupun luring, melakukan kerjasama dengan biro travel.

Abstract

This study is about teaching English grammar between formal and non formal educational institution, a case of class A nursing program in Stikes Jayapura in the academic year of 2010/2011 and the ABC English course Sentani in the academic year of 2011. This study focuses on the methods used by the English teachers at the both places and whether those applied methods affect the student’s achievement or not. This research methods in this study are grade observation, test, interview and questionnaire. Two kinds of obtained data in this study are qualitative and quantitative data. To analyze the qualitative data, the writer applies descriptive analysis. The writer describes the data obtained from the observation of the process of teaching and learning, interview and questionnaire in detail. Abstrak Penelitian ini tentang pembelajaran tata bahasa Inggris antara lembaga pendidikan formal dan non formal, yaitu pada program keperawatan kelas A di Stikes Jayapura pada tahun akademik 2010/2011 dan di tempat kursus bahasa Inggris ABC Sentani pada tahun akademik 2011. Penelitian ini berfokus pada metode yang digunakan oleh guru bahasa Inggris di kedua tempat tersebut dan apakah metode yang diterapkan mempengaruhi prestasi siswa atau tidak. Metode penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi kelas, tes, wawancara dan kuesioner. Dua jenis data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini adalah data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Untuk menganalisis data kualitatif, penulis menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Penulis memaparkan data yang diperoleh dari pengamatan proses belajar mengajar, wawancara dan kuesioner secara detail. Kata Kunci : mengajar, grammar, pendidikan formal, pendidikan non formal
