Abstract

This article reports on a study that attempts to fill the gap of research focusing on school performance measurements, especially those which involve curriculum types. It established the factors that measured school performance using Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and analyzed any differences in the performance of schools adopting national curriculum and those adopting mixed curriculum in Greater Jakarta. From 29 items, eight invalid items were dropped, and the EFA identified eight factors, which were categorized into social-emotional learning, school participation, relationship, physical-mental health, physical safety, emotional safety, academic growth, and discipline. Then, the scale was validated using data collected from 684 secondary students using CFA. Chi-square goodness-of-fit test was not statistically significant. However, other indices such as Incremental Fit Index, Comparative Fit Index, Tucker-Lewis Index, Root Mean Squared Error of Approximation, and Standardized Root Mean Square Residual were within acceptable limits, indicating that the eight EFA factors had been validated. Moreover, this study found that schools with mixed curricula had higher performance than those with a national curriculum. Nevertheless, it cannot be generalized because the linear regression shows that the p-value was higher than 0.05 (0.164).

Abstract

Implementation of innovation is the main indicator of success for innovation initiatives. The challenge on dynamic capability management, particularly for innovation, has been in place and studied by scholars. Yet, research regarding this matter from a strategic level and from school leaders’ perspective is limited. Interviews conducted to school leaders in Indonesia showcase four resources to be managed for innovation in schools: human resources, technology, communication, and budget; each with their own antecedents. The focus to ensure success falls into human resources, namely willingness to adopt, understanding of the concept of teacher, comprehension level and learning speed. Meanwhile, from a technology standpoint, these antecedents include fulfillment of users’ needs, integration with applied technologies, budget fitness and hardware requirements. Communication resources and their dynamics are text and visual based communication, meeting, and surveys. Meanwhile, the dynamics surrounding the budget are fitness with purpose and school’s plan, return on investment, and external contribution. This study supports the creation of a new proposition on innovation dynamic capability management from the school's perspective. School leaders can use this research as a reference point to strategize future innovation projects.

Abstract

The research aimed to find out how to execute a successful HR audit by looking into the top management's commitment, HR consultants' function in the business, and the line manager's level of participation in the audit. 70% of the total population of employees who were selected using probability random sampling participated through an online questionnaire. The hypothesis was tested using structural equation modeling since a total of 104 respondents supplied favorable responses, but only 101 could be employed to test the hypothesis. The result showed that the absence of HR and line managers did not affect the success of HR audits from the starting point and that the term "audit" had a negative connotation.

Abstract

Leaders in various universities design and participate in education by constructing and developing fresh and new ideas and innovations to create efficient teaching methods across all departments. Additionally, millennials are the technology-literate generation, making this an exciting time for them as they try to meet market demand. This fact will serve as the foundation for determining whether the university's collaborative and academic culture impacts the lecturers' innovative behavior. The 101 samples of lecturers were taken from 5 universities in the Jakarta and Java area. The Structural Equation Model (SEM) of Smart PLS was used in this analysis. The results indicated whether Collaborative Culture and Academic Culture affect Innovative Behavior. From the results of this analysis, it is essential to develop and improve future methods of combining collaborative and academic culture to create a Collaborative Academic Culture. This method would in turn improve innovation in the university, as the country had set a goal to increase the collaboration between higher education stakeholders in society. It is also expected that the derivation of the two variables will further develop the effectiveness of quality teaching in higher education. Keywords: collaborative culture, academic culture, innovative behavior
