Abstract

This study discussed the animacy concept in Javanese. This is to show how the animacy concept is reflected on pronouns and parts of the body, and behavioral verbs (agentive) between human, animal, and thing. This is a descriptive qualitative study employing the data from Javanese compared to English and Indonesia to clarify the animacy concept. The theoretical perspective used to analyze is the animacy concept from Comrie (1989). The analysis reveals that Javanese has no pronoun for non-human (animal and things), as the case in Indonesian. Meanwhile, English has it and there are pronouns for third person non-human, singular and plural. However it does not distinguish between animals and things. Thus, Javanese and Indonesia apply animacy hierarchy in their pronoun system. Another hierarchy is seen in the words to refer to body parts. It is only Javanese showing distinct characteristics; it uses high variants to refer to the human body. The same case is also found in the verbs (action) done by the human agent. Meanwhile two other languages do not apply this animacy hierarchy. Thus, the animacy hierarchy has a strongest influence on Javanese grammatical system, compared to the other two.

Abstract

Geographically, Kebumen regency is a border area of ​​Javanese dialect Banyumas (ngapak) and Yogyakarta dialect (bandek). Language speakers in this region have their own language phenomenon. The purpose of this research is to describe phonological variation of Javanese language in Kebumen district. These variations include vowel sounds and consonant sounds, as well as other sound variations. To obtain the necessary data, the researcher used interview, record, and introspection techniques. Interviews were based on a gloss list provided to speakers of the language. The researchers recorded the interview. In addition, researchers also directly record the process of speaking of the speakers directly. The technique of introspections was done because researchers are speakers of language in Kebumen district. The analysis was done by comparing the Java language in Kebumen district with the standard Java language. The results obtained from this study showed that based on the residence, speakers and the social groups of Javanese speakers in Kebumen District have variations of vowel phoneme / a /, / i /, / u /, / e /, / o /, and consonant / b /, / d /, / k /, / g /, as well as variations of sound [r], [h], [-əw-], and [-ək]. The result of variation obtained is phoneme / a / pronounced [a], [ɔ], [ə], and [ɛ]. The phoneme / i / is pronounced [i], [I], and [ɛ]. The phoneme / u / is pronounced [u], and [U]. The phoneme / e / is pronounced [e] and [ɛ]. The phoneme / o / is pronounced [o] and [ɔ]. For the phoneme / b /, / d /, / g /, and / k / pronounced fixed as [b], [d], [g], and [k] which in standard Java is pronounced [p], [t] , [k], and [?]. The phoneme / r / can be inserted in the word. Phoneme / h / uninstalled. In addition, the sounds [-əw-] and [-ək] respectively as variants of the [-uw-] and [-a?] Sounds.

Abstract

This research describes the differences of the Javanese of the dialectal varieties in Kebumen  Regency in the field of phonology, morphology, lexicon, and speech level; maps the Javanese dialectal varieties in Kebumen Regency; and describes the geographical and sociocultural factors causing these differences. The data were taken from the seven observation areas through interviewing, recording, and introspection technique. The interview was conducted by asking the questionnaires to the informants. The interview were recorded. In addition, other data were collected through recording the actual utterances in which the items of the questionnaires are spoken. Finally, the introspection technique was also applied to complete the data because the researcher is the native speaker of BJKK.                                    The conclusions of this research are (1) Kebumen Regency is a border or mixing of two Javanese dialects, (2) The regions that have easy access are easier  in getting the influence of bandek Javanese, (3) These regions that are difficult to reach tend to defend the language, (4) The other regions have more varieties. (5) The influence of Bandek Javanese comes  through lexicons, (6) The development between krama ngoko speech level and lexicons is different. The development of krama-ngoko speech level is gained through education and occupation, (7) Some regions have Krama-ngapak Javanese speech level, (8) BJKK has [a] and [o] speech level models, (9) There is a phonological difference between Bandek Javanese an Ngapak Javanese.

Abstract

Linguistic anthropology is the discipline studying the language by applying the concepts of culture and anthropology, and trying to explore the tacit meaning underlying the application of the terms. A kinship or familial system is usually implied in the address terms used by the society. This is one of the phenomena under its investigation. It shows how the language in the society and its relation to the cultural phenomenon. The paper tries to explore the phenomenon of kinship system and its language realization in the community of Kebumen Regency. It is to describe the phenomenon and its unique characteristics. The analysis shows that there are 16 generations included in the familial system. They are (1) bapak, rama, ibu, biyung (2) mbah, kaki, nini, eyang (3) buyut, (4) canggah, (5) wareng, (6) udheg-udheg, (7) gantung siwur, dan (8) petarangan bubrah. Generasi ke bawah, yaitu (1) anak, (2) putu, (3) buyut, (4) canggah, (5) wareng, (6) udheg-udheg, (7) gantung siwur, and (8) petarangan bubrah. All are the first direct lineality, which can be extended to the next lineality: uwa, siwa, lilik, bibi, paman, om, tante, kakang, mbekayu, adi, alo, plunan, and ponakan. The third lineality will include misan. The kinship terms are drawn from the blood bond. In reality, the terms are sometimes addressed to an individual beyond the familial relation, for example the terms like lilik, mbah, and om. They are frequently used for addressing a person to show respect, without any meaning that implies the kinship relation.

Abstract

Pandemi COVID-19 menimbulkan efek negatif terhadap pembelajaran di Taman Kanak-Kanak (TK). Para guru merasa pembelajaran daring tidak efektif sekaligus melelahkan. Mereka harus menghabiskan lebih banyak waktu, tetapi hasilnya jauh dari harapan. Tujuan pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk mengatasi permaslahan pembelajaran pembelajaran daring di TK, dengan memberikan penyuluhan dan pelatihan metode dan media pembelajaran daring. Dari hasil pelatihan, peserta mendapatkan suntikan semangat dan harapan baru untuk melaksanakan pembelajaran daring secara lebih baik melalui penggunaan aplikasi LearningManagement System LMS, yang memadukan pembelajaran sinkronus dan non-sinkronus. Selain itu, disarankan agar para guru lebih memanfaatkan pembelajaran secara berkelompok agar pelaksanaan pembelajaran lebih kondusif bagi anak-anak, dan secara waktu lebih efisien untuk para guru. Hal lain yang ditekankan adalah pentingnya melibatkan peran orang tua dalam pembelajaran daring.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Kegiatan bertujuan meningkatkan kemampuan dan ketrampilan anggota kelompok tani dalam mengembangkan pertanian terpadu dengan cara meningkatkan kemampuan dan ketrampilan para anggotanya dalam hal penguasaan teknologi budidaya tanaman pangan, peternakan, dan perikanan secara terpadu, serta kemampuan berwirausaha. Tujuan adalah terbentuknya desa Tidu sebagai pusat pengembangan pertanian terpadu. Berdasarkan permasalahan yang ada, perlu dilakukan usaha pembinaan berkesinambungan. Metode yang digunakan adalah pelatihan dan alih teknologi pertanian terpadu dengan melibatkan mahasiswa peserta KKN-PPM untuk melakukan kegiatan pendampingan dan pembinaan.Pelatihan dilakukan dengan perkuliahan klasikal dan alih teknologi dengan praktik langsung. penyampaian materi dilakukan dengan metode ceramah, diskusi, dan simulasi. Praktik langsung budidaya tanaman pangan, budidaya ternak, dan budidaya ikan lele mulai dari persiapan, pengolahan hasil, teknik pengemasan dan perijinan. Pendampingan dilakukan selama pelatihan dan alih teknologi, Pembinaan dilakukan dengan membimbing dan memantau anggota kelompok tani setelah kegiatan pelatihan selesai, pembinaan dilakukan secara rutin setiap dua minggu atau sesuai permintaan mitra atau Tim KKN-PPM. Kemitraan diwujudkan dengan memberi bantuan modal dan teknis. Bantuan modal berupa sarana dan prasarana pertanian terpadu. Bantuan teknis berupa peningkatan kemampuan dan ketrampilan pertanian terpadu. Kata Kunci : kelompok tani, pemberdayaan, dan pendampingan ABSTRACT Activities aimed at improving the capabilities and skills of members of farmers in developing integrated farming by improving the capabilities and skills of its members in terms of technological mastery on cultivation of food crops, livestock and fisheries in an integrated manner, as well as entrepreneurship skills. It is to make Tidu as the center of an integrated agricultural development. The method used is the training and integrated agricultural technology transfer.Training is done with classical lectures and technology transfer to the practice. Delivery of material is done by lectures, discussions, and simulations. Practice of food crop cultivation, animal breeding, and cultivation of catfish ranging from the preparation, processing, packaging and licensing techniques.Assistance was done during training and technology transfer, coaching is done by guiding and monitoring the members of farmers after the training is completed, the coaching is done routinely. Partnership is realized by providing capital and assistance. Assistance is integrated agricultural infrastructure. Technical assistance is increased capacity and integrated farming skills.
