Abstract

AbstractThe occurrence of flash floods in 2017 that hit Tebing Tinggi City in North Sumatra Province caused 33,825 lives to be affected. That shows that the potential for flash floods disasters in the North Sumatra region, including in the Padang River Basin, is classified as very high. The purpose of this study is to determine the location of potential riverbank landslides that cause river flow obstructions (natural dams) in the Padang River Basin. The method used in this study is a qualitative method using geographic information systems. The data analysis technique used is the cone stacking technique of research variable maps. The variables used to analyze the potential of riverbank landslides are the appearance of existing landslides, topography (flow accumulation), and geology (faults). The results of this study indicate that there are 86 locations with potential landslides that can cause natural dams. The most potential location is the Padang sub-watershed with 48 sub-areas.Keywords: Disaster Mitigation, Spatial Modeling, Flash floods, Geographic Information Systems AbstrakKejadian banjir bandang tahun 2017 yang melanda Kota Tebing Tinggi  Provinsi Sumatera Utara menyebabkan 33.825 jiwa terdampak. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa potensi bencana banjir bandang di wilayah Sumatera Utara termasuk di Daerah Aliran Sungai (DAS) Padang tergolong sangat tinggi. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui lokasi yang berpotensi terjadi longsor tebing sungai yang mengakibatkan terhambatnya aliran sungai (bendungan alam) di DAS Padang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan menggunakan sistem informasi geografis. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik tumpeng susun peta variabel penelitian. Adapun variabel yang digunakan untuk menganalisis potensi longsor tebing sungai adalah kenampakan longsor eksisting, topografi (akumulasi aliran), dan geologi (patahan). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 86 lokasi yang berpotensi longsor yang dapat menyebabkan bendungan alam. Lokasi paling banyak terdapat potensi adalah sub-DAS Padang dengan jumlah sub-area 48 lokasi.   Kata Kunci:   Mitigasi bencana, Permodelan Spasial, Banjir Bandang, Sistem Informasi Geografis

Abstract

Community Service Activities aims to improve the quality of financial bookkeeping management, the quality of packaging and trademarks for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Karang Anyar Village. The problems faced by Partners here are; (1) financial management has not been recorded continuously and is manual without having a record between capital and profits, (2) rengginang packaging using kiloan plastic so that the packaging is easily torn, and the packaging is not attractive and does not yet have a trademark. The solution offered here, Partners are given training, education, assistance, socialization, and the delivery of Appropriate Technology (TTG) regarding the problems faced by Partners. The method of implementing the service program will be carried out in a gradual, sustainable and comprehensive approach through direct communication or through intensive communication tools with partners, so that the implementation of activities can be carried out in a guided manner, with the primary aim of improving the community's economy in managing Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) ) with Rengginang food business.

Abstract

Education is one of the necessities of life that every individual must have. One level of education is a college education. In tertiary institutions' learning process, students are inseparable from financial needs for learning needs and living standards. This need forces students to do part-time jobs. Part-time jobs are growing from time to time. Part-time work has both positive and negative effects on student development in the world of work. This study aims to analyze part-time jobs for students of the 2017 Geography Education Department, their relation to learning activities, and the factors that motivate students to work part-time. This study uses a quantitative approach with simple analytical techniques. The population in this study were all students of the 2017 class of the Geography Education Department, with a sample of 20 students. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire. The study results show a significant effect of part-time work and learning activities with a substantial value of 0.037 <0.05. The main factor for students is working part-time because of the financial need for college needs and the standard of living. Part-time jobs done by students are online motorcycle taxi drivers, shopkeepers, salespeople, private tutors, and web programmers.Keywords: Part-Time, Student, Geography Education, Learning Activities

Abstract

Pembelajaran case method dan team-based merupakan salah satu Indikator Kinerja Utama (IKU) yang diterapkan oleh Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Republik Indonesia nomor 3/M/2021. Pembalajaran case method dan team-based adalah pembelajaran yang dibebankan kepada mahasiswa untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis (critical thinking) mahasiswa, memecahkan masalah, mencari solusi, dan menumbuhkan kemampuan berkomunikasi. Pembelajaran ini juga bermanfaat untuk dosen sebagai tenaga pengajar untuk meningkatkan kemampuan dan keterampilan yang lebih tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat ketercapaian penerapan case method dan team-based project dalam pembelajaran berdasarkan kebijakan Jurusan. Penelitian ini menggunakan merupakan penelitian pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Geografi angkatan 2020-2022 berjumlah 454 dan sampe penelitian sebenyak 215 mahasiswa. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuisioner (angket) yang disebarkan kepada mahasiswa melalui google form. Hasil penelitian yaitu implementasi case method dan team-based di Jurusan Pendidikan Geografi masih belum berjalan secara maksimal, hal ini dikarenakan beberapa faktor yaitu kurangnya pemahaman mahasiswa dalam tujuan penerapan penugasan case method dan team-based, langkah-langkah penugasan case method dan team-based yang dilampirkan dalam Rencana Pembelajaran Semester (RPS) masih belum jelas, dan kurangnya partisipasi mahasiswa dalam penugasan case method dan team-based.  Kebijakan Jurusan dalam penerapan case mmethod dan team-based project masih belum efektif dikarenakan mahasiswa masih belum mengetahui tujuan dan manfaat dalam penerapan case method dan team-based project.
