Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the students’ higher order thinking skills based on the concept of cognitive domain thinking in the revised version of  Bloom's taxonomy on the science with ecosystem themes at elementary schools. This study used descriptive research with qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were the fifth grade students at SDN Kepatihan 06 Jember, SDN Sumbersari 03 Jember, and SDN kebonsari 04 Jember. The data were collected through tests and interviews. The results of this research were the students’ higher order thinking skills in the elementary schools had various categories, namely low, medium and high categories. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the students’ higher order thinking skills on the science with ecosystem theme at elementary schools  were low category with 86.08%, medium category with 12.66%, and high category with 1.26%. The low level of thinking ability was influenced by the level of understanding of the concepts in the ecosystem material that led students to have problem in understanding it.

Abstract

Karakter adalah watak sifat batin yang mempengaruhi segenap pikiran, perilaku dan tabiat yang dimiliki manusia. Karakter terbentuk atau terjadi karena melalui suatu kebiasaan-kebiasaan manusia. Kebiasaan-kebiasaan tersebut terbentuk karena suatu peristiwa yang dialami oleh manusia. Karakter dapat dibentuk melalui berbagai cara salah satunya melalui pendidikan kewarganegaraan. Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan merupakan salah satu wadah dalam mengembangkan suatu karakter siswa. Dalam pembelajaran pendidikan kewarganegaraan terdapat nilai nilai pancasila yang akan membentuk kepribadian individu yang lebih baik. Penanaman karakter dapat dibentuk dengan berbagai cara misalkan seperti Tri Pusat Pendidikan dari Ki Hajar Dewantara yang mencangkup lingkungan keluarga, lingkungan sekolah, maupun lingkungan masyarakat, pendidik memberikan teladan yang baik bagi peserta didik, dan banyak cara lainnya.

Abstract

Gadget adalah suatu perangkat atau alat yang dirancang dengan teknologi canggih dan memiliki fungsi yang lebih spesifik dan praktis serta memudahkan penggunanya. Penggunaan teknologi untuk keperluan yang akan dihadapi dalam perkembangan zaman pada dunia pendidikan. Tujuannya agar belajar menggunakan gadget lebih menarik dan menyenangkan, pada handphone peserta didik dapat diisi dengan Animasi Stop Motion sebagai media belajarnya, karena bisa menyesuaikan dengan dunia anak-anak yaitu animasi dan film edukatif yang mendukung tentang materi disekolah. Merode yang digunakan adalah Dalam penelitian ini, kami menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk memperoleh informasi dan mendeskripsikan sebuah masalah tentang kemampuan anak dalam penggunaan media belajar berupa gadget. Hasil dari data penelitian yang dilakukan akan diperoleh dua jenis data yaitu kuantitatif dan data kualitatif.. Hasilnya peserta didik dapat mengoperasikan handphone mereka untuk mencari contoh-contoh soal di internet untuk persiapan Ujian Nasional (UN). Kesimpulannya perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi adalah sebuah keperluan yang dihadapi pada pendidikan sekolah, guru juga diharuskan untuk mengikuti perkembangan dari teknologi untuk pendukung pada pembelajaran. Jadi peserta didik dapat menggunakan gadget dengan benar dan bermanfaat untuk proses belajar, sehingga efek negatif dari penggunaan gadget dapat dihindari

Abstract

The application of video media in learning that is less than optimal is due to one of the reasons for the limited facilities. Learning media as a means of distributing information to students cannot be obtained by students optimally. This study describes the impact produced by animated video learning media on students' cognitive learning outcomes. The aim is to determine the effect on student cognitive learning outcomes caused by animated video media whose use is supported by a guided inquiry learning model. The type of research is experimental with the design that is used as a reference is the non-equivalent control group design. The subjects used were students of SDN 1 Pesanggaran with class VA and class VB being the observed sample. The experimental activity carried out was the prvision of treatment in the form of learning that utilized animated video media with a guided inquiry learning model as a learning style. After the research was conducted, the results of the students’ initial and final tests (pre and post) were obtained. Each result of the initial ability test of students from the two classes is the control class = 61,84 while the experimental class = 58,01. After the experimental class was treated and the control class was not, the posttest result were obtained, namely the control class was 75,61 while the experimental class was 82,05. Based on the t-test, it is known that the value of tcount=4,545 and the price of ttabel=1,665. Referring to the calculation of the t-test, namely tcount > ttable, the result of the decision is the use of animated video media wich is supported by a guided inquiriy learning model that has an impact on students’ cognitive learning outcomes. there is an effect of using animated video media through guided inquiry learning models on students’ cognitive learning outcomes. Then the calculation of the relative effectiveness value shoews that the application of animated video media through the guided inquiry learning model is relatively effective at 57%.

Abstract

Pendidikan mitigasi bencana alam diperlukan bagi masyarakat kawasan bencana yang bertujuan untuk memberikan penanganan awal bencana. Pendidikan merupakan salah satu cara untuk memberikan edukasi mitigasi di Sekolah Dasar yang dapat dikaitkan dengan pembelajaran di kelas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangan buku ajar mitigasi bencana di kawasan terdampak gunung semeru. Jenis penelitian merupakan penelitian pengembangan menggunakan 4D yang terdiri dari Define, Design, Develop, dan Diseminate. Metode yang digunakan adalah observasi dan angket. Teknik analisis data menggunkana deskriptif kuantitaif, dan deskriptif kualitatif untuk hasil pengembangan buku ajar.  Dari hasi penelitian diperoleh bahwa buku ajar yang dikembangkan dari aspek materi, desain dan Bahasa mendapatkan presentasi 84.12% dari rata-rata validator dengan kategori sangat valid. Pada unsur keterbacaan buku ajar mendapatkan presentasi 81,27% dengan kategori baik. Dari hasil tersebut, maka buku ajar yang telah dikembangkan bisa digunakan untuk memberikan edukasi mitigasi awal kepada siswa SD yang dikaitkan dengan pembelajaran di kelas. Implikasi dari penelitian ini yakni memberikan pemahaman dan pengetahuan secara menyenangkan akan edukasi mitigasi bencana dan bisa diimplementasikan untuk ke depannya.

Abstract

The goal of this study was to see if students in class V Theme 6 could improve their critical thinking skills outcomes by using the Problem-Based Learning (PBL). This type of research is classroom action research using 2 cycles, namely, cycle I and cycle II, where each cycle consists of 2 meetings. The stages in the implementation of the PBL model are: 1) student orientation to the problem; 2) organizing students to learn; 3) guiding individual and group investigations; 4) developing and presenting the work; and 5) analyzing and evaluating the problem-solving process. Based on the results of data analysis, there is an average increase in classical critical thinking skills in the first cycle of 67.5 and the second cycle of 76.35. So it can be concluded that the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) can improve students' critical thinking skills outcomes

Abstract

This research aims to develop a teaching material in the form of Biotechnology Textbooks with Jember Local Wisdom for Grade IV at Elementary Schools. This type of research is development research using the Borg and Gall model which consists of 10 stages. The quality aspects of t Biotechnology Textbooks with Jember Local Wisdom were validity and effectiveness. The subjects of this research trial were grade IVA students of Public Elementary School 3 of Kepatihan, grade IVA students and IVB Public Elementary School 4 of Kebonsari. Data collection methods in this study used a questionnaire, tests, and validation. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that biotechnology-based textbooks for local wisdom in Jember were declared very valid with a percentage of validity of 90.6%. The effectiveness of textbooks is known from the percentage of student learning outcomes of, 80.9%, 81.5%, and 84.6%. Textbooks are also categorized as having a positive response with a percentage of 91.5%, 94.6%, and 97%. Based on the results of the analysis of the data it can be concluded that the textbook has been declared to be very valid and very effective and received positive responses from students so that the Biotechnology Textbooks with Jember Local Wisdom can become a learning medium in schools.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a tremendous impact, especially for education in Indonesia. Formal education, which usually uses an online or face-to-face learning system, during the pandemic must change to an online learning system. In Pesanggaran Subdistrict, Banyuwangi Regency, online learning using electronic devices cannot run well. This is known from the results of an interview with the Education Unit Work Area Coordinator (Korwilker Satdik) of Pesanggaran Banyuwangi District on September 30, 2021. This community service uses training, mentoring, and evaluation methods. This activity will be carried out in the Sumberagung cluster and located at SDN 6 Sumberagung. Learning in elementary schools during the COVID-19 pandemic was carried out with a network or online system. Online learning is quite difficult to cover the affective domain. The affective domain is a domain related to students' attitudes, values, feelings, or emotions. At the time of easing PPKM and learning in schools can be done with limited face-to-face, it is very necessary activities that can support the development of the affective domain.
