Abstract

This research analyzed the mathematical problem solving ability of elementary school students. This research was conducted by involving 8 grade IV students. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors affecting the students’ mathematical problem solving abilities. This study used a qualitative approach with the type of case study. The result of this study found 6 factors that affected students’ mathematical problem solving abilities. The factors were (1) the students’ ability to understand the scope of the problem in order to find the solution, (2) the students’ ability to choose a mathematical approach/strategy/model to solve the problem, (3) the students’ ability to give reasons and to solve problems, (4) the students’ self-confidence or doubt when working on problem solving questions, (5) the students’ ability to process their own data, and (6) the students’ precision in checking the results they obtained. In this study, there were 2 novelty factors found about students’ mathematical problem solving abilities. The first factor was (1 the students’ ability to learn and solve the problem (2) the students’ self-confidence ot doubts when working on problem solving questions.

Abstract

The flipped classroom learning in Linear Algebra learning could be applied as alternative learning that utilizes technology. Hence students involved in the learning and their learning autonomy would be fostered. This article analyzing the stages of Linear Algebra learning, the implementation of learning, and describing the students' learning outcomes. The subjects were the first semester students in the academic year of 2019/2020, of the Mathematics Education Study Program, Universitas Muria Kudus. The data collection technique consisted of test and non-test. The technique test was used to measure mathematics ability while the non-test technique was applied to measure the students' learning autonomies and learning observation. The applied data analysis consisted of a qualitative description. The findings described the stages of the Linear Algebra course. They consisted of designing the course, developing the content and learning media, uploading the learning material, using ICT for the learning, promoting the assessment, and providing feedback facilitation. The course was begin by providing a problem to be solved in a group. The material was uploaded in the e-learning platform. The students were facilitated to create groups. They were then allowed to find solutions stage via the internet accessed from their handphone/laptop. They were then asked to solve the problems on the given worksheet manually and utilizing the computer program. After discussing, they presented the results. The average of their mathematics ability reached a predicate of B while their learning autonomy was in the excellent criterion. Keywords: Flipped Classroom, Learning Outcomes, Linear Algebra Course

Abstract

Saat ini pelaksanaan pembelajaran dilakukan secara daring merupakan salah satu alternatif supaya pembelajaran tetap bisa berlangsung meskipun Covid-19 masih melanda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa kelas IV berdasarkan kategori hasil belajar tinggi, sedang, dan rendah dalam pembelajaran daring. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang dilakukan di SD N Ngegot. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IV yang berdasarkan dengan hasil prestasi belajar 2 tinggi, 2 sedang dan 2 rendah. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan meliputi tes tertulis, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan tiga tahap yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan atau verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa selama pembelajaran daring dikategorikan menjadi 3, kemampuan komunikasi matematis dengan kategori tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Dari 6 subjek yang dianalsis, peneliti mendapat hasil dengan kemampuan komunikasi matematis yaitu 1 siswa dengan kemampuan tinggi, 3 siswa dengan kemampuan cukup baik, dan 2 siswa dengan kemampuan rendah. Maka dari itu dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil kemampuan matematis siswa kelas IV SD N Ngegot tergolong pada kategori cukup baik

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students' learning difficulties in limited face-to-face learning during the COVID-19 pandemic in Grogolan Village, to be precise, students of SD Grogolan 01, Dukuhseti District, Pati Regency. This research began with problems in the era of the COVID-19 pandemic. Limited face-to-face learning is an alternative so that learning continues even though the COVID-19 pandemic is still hitting. One of the influencing factors in limited face-to-face learning activities is the role of parents in assisting children to study at home. The research method used is qualitative with a phenomenological approach. This research was conducted in Grogolan Village and focused on the fifth grade students of SD Grogolan 01, which consisted of 3 students. Data collection techniques in this study using observation, interviews and documentation. This study uses the validity of the data by triangulation. There are 3 stages of data analysis in this study, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results showed that students' learning difficulties during the implementation of PTM were limited to various, including students who had not mastered the material presented by the teacher to the maximum, difficulties in solving story problems in mathematics lessons and questions whose answers were not in the book, and lack of student interest in PTM. limited.

Abstract

Faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi pembelajaran matematika yaitu kemampuan numerik yang dimana hal tersebut merupakan bagian dari operasi menghitung dan sangat dibutuhkan dalam menyelesaikan masalah pembelajaran matematika. Dengan menggunakan model roleplay berupa permainan tradisional pasaran selain meningkatkan minat belajar peserta didik, permainan tradisional pasaran dapat memudahkan peserta didik untuk belajar kemampuan numerik menggunakan problem yang terdapat dalam permainan tersebut. Dalam penelitian ini Peneliti menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain one group pretest-posttest. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Januari 2022 hingga bulan Juli 2022 di SD Negeri Gemiring Kidul 01 Jepara. Sampel pada penelitian ini yaitu seluruh peserta didik kelas V SDN Gemiring Kidul 01 Jepara yang berjumlah 30 peserta didik dengan teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan yaitu meggunakan teknik sampling jenuh. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian peserta didik mengalami peningkatan rata-rata sebesar 30,33 dengan hasil N-Gain 0,6450 dengan kriteria sedang yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model roleplaying dengan menggunakan permainan pasaran memberikan pengaruh terhadap peningkatan kemampuan numerik peserta didik.
