Abstract

This study aimed to obtain the most efficient Dye-Sensitized Solar Cell (DSSC) using yellow sweet potato extract (Ipomoea Batatas L.) as a dye sensitizer, with acetic acid, polyethyleneglycol (PEG), and polyvinylalcohol (PVA) as TiO2 binding solution. This research includes the preparation of TiO2 paste with variations: 4 g TiO2 plus 2 M acetic acid (Paste-1), 3.5 g TiO2 plus 15 mL PEG-400 (Paste-2), and 0.5 g TiO2 plus 0.75 mL. PVA (Paste-3). Anthocyanin dye from yellow sweet potato was prepared and used to soak the TiO2 photoelectrode for 24 hours. UV-vis and FTIR spectra of dye solution from yellow sweet potato extract showed anthocyanin content at a maximum wavelength of 283 nm and were strengthened by the appearance of hydroxyl groups in the infrared spectra. The highest DSSC efficiency of 0.302% was obtained from PVA as a TiO2 binder, with an electric current of 0.0204 mA and an electric voltage of 338 mv.

Abstract

Indonesia has a high potential for renewable energy, especially solar power, due to its location in the equator and blessed with an abundance of sunlight. However, the energy potential from the sun is not maximally utilized. One of the efforts to increase the generated electricity and efficiency is by applied the panels in arches setting. This setting is made possible by the availability of the semi-flexible monocrystalline solar panel. This paper investigates the increment of harvested power and efficiency by arranging the solar panel in concave, convex, and plane settings. The data were taken in August 2019, where Palembang experiences the dry season and January 2020 during the rainy season. The highest power produced (20.27 Watt) and efficiency (13.14%) were achieved in a concave setting during the dry season. The convex setting produced more power and efficiency (13.26 Watt and 9.30%) compared to the plane setting (10.24 Watt and 9.71%). These results show that arches setting are more efficient to harvest solar power and give more extensive applications such as to power a dynamics mobile robot applied in agriculture.

Abstract

Pemahaman yang baik mengenai Covid-19 sangat diperlukan bagi anak-anak, apalagi pada saat ini kasus Covid-19 pada anak-anak di Indonesia merupakan yang tertinggi di Asia Afrika. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa sangat diperlukan untuk memberikan pemahaman yang baik dan benar kepada anak-anak disekitar kita mengenai pendemi covid-19 ini. Dalam hal ini salah satu upaya yang dilakukan untuk memberikan pemahaman mengenai Covid-19 pada anak-anak adalah dengan cara melakukan penyuluhan tetap waspada Covid-19 di daerah 14 ilir, Palembang. Lokasi tempat tinggal yang berdekatan dengan pasar kentut 14 Ilir, menjadi salah satu permasalahan, dikarenakan warga disekitar yang begitu rentan bertemu dengan orang banyak dan tentunya akan memperbesar kemungkinan penularan Covid-19.  Cukup banyaknya anak-anak yang masih bermain diluar rumah juga menjadi permasalahan di lokasi ini. Kegiatan Penyuluhan ini dilaksanakan melalui beberapa tahapan, yaitu tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan, dan tahap evaluasi. Dari hasil penyuluhan yang dilakukan, ternyata masih banyak anak yang belum mengetahui dengan baik mengenai Covid-19, rata-rata mereka hanya mengetahui bahwa protokol kesehatan yang harus dilakukan selama pandemi Covid-19 hanya dengan memakai masker dan mencuci tangan. Melalui kegiatan pengabdian ini, diharapkan dapat membantu mereka untuk mendapatkan pemahaman yang baik mengenai Covid-19 dan dapat membiasakan diri menerapkan protokol kesehatan secara langsung dengan gerakan 3M untuk mencegah penyebaran covid-19.Kata Kunci: Anak-anak, Covid-19, Penyuluhan
