Abstract

This research aims to produce an information system of grade processing to allow the teacher in manage a report card of student grade. This information system is intended for use in vocational high school. This information system is web based, so it can be accessed by teacher to manage grades and students can see the result of their study. Method of this research is research and development (R&D) that implemented in SMK Negeri 1 Kudus. The data collection techniques are interview, quesioner and documentation. The Development of Academic Information System as a Web Based on Processing System of Student Grade in SMK Negeri 1 Kudus carried out with five stages : (1) Communication is discussions between researchers with the school about developing the system, (2) Planning is the planning needs of the functional, software and hardware requirements of the system are developed, (3) Modeling is the stage of system design that focuses on data processing. This phrase begins with the making of Usecase Diagram, Flowchart, DFD (Data Flow Diagram), ERD (Entity Relationship Diagram), Design of data base tables and their relationships and manufacturing design of interface system, (4) Construction is the stage where the design has been created, implemeted into the code (programme), (5) Deployment is the testing phrase to SMK to get feedback on the feasibility and development of a system which further. The final value of this research is 93,1% from expert system, 85,3% from the teacher and administration staff and 82.,4 % from the students, so it means that the system is highly feasible to be used.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how the influence caused by the use of learning models on the activeness and learning outcomes. The method used in this research is quantitative quasi experimental design. The population in this study were 66 students of class X RPL A and B in SMK Negeri 5 Surakarta. The sampling technique in this study uses the cluster random sampling method and the number of samples refers to the total population of class groups. Data collection techniques are used in the form of questionnaires and tests. Hypothesis testing is done by t test and normalized gain test. The results used in this study are based on the significance value (sig.) Which has the meaning as a determinant of whether the hypothesis test results are accepted or rejected . So that the results of this study can be used as information for educators to be considered in preparing the learning process better. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas  penerapan model pembelajaran  Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) berbasis online ditinjau dari hasil belajar dan disiplin belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran desain grafis. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI Multimedia II SMK N 6 Surakarta yang berjumlah 34 siswa. Metode yang akan digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen semu (quasi experimental design). Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini pre-test dan post-test control design. Pengumpulan data melalui penyebaran angket kedisiplinan belajar dan hasil belajar. Berdasarkan data penelitian, dapat diketahui bahwa hasil dari uji t sampel berpasangan data skor tes hasil belajar kelas XI Multimedia II nilai sig yaitu 0,00 < 0,05, sehingga dapat disimpulkan penerapan model pembelajaran Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) berbasis online berpengaruh meningkatkan hasil belajar. Hasil dari uji t sampel berpasangan data skor tes kedisiplinan belajar kelas XI Multimedia II nilai sig yaitu 0,00 < 0,05, sehingga dapat disimpulkan penerapan model pembelajaran Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) berbasis online berpengaruh meningkatkan kedisiplinan belajar.

Abstract

The student attendance is one of the important aspects of the education process to assess the level of discipline of students and be an indicator of whether students need specific guidance related to the attendance. This research aims to design a web-based information system with RESTful web service architecture to help teachers activities for checking student attendance and recapitulation of data recording with more easily. This research uses the methods of research and development (R&D) and implemented at SMK 2 Batik Surakarta. System development method that used in the information system is Waterfall Model. The steps of Waterfall Model consist of analysis, design, code, and test. The end result of this research is the feasibility of the system based on the results of testing on the aspects of functionality yielded a value of 1 (good) while on the aspects of usability obtained percentage amounting to 81.47% (very high), so it can be inferred that This system is worth to use.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this research is to create an application that could help parents and school in exchanging information. This application based on Web and SMS (Short Message Service).  This application could send SMS which connects parents and school. This research was held in SMK Negeri 1 Kudus. The technique of data collection are interview, spreading the rating sheets, and documentation. The model used in developing SMS based web application was Waterfall model through some steps: 1) Communication, is a discussion between researcher and school, 2) Planning is a step to review an application need whether software and hardware and the functional needs of application, 3) Modelling, is a designing step that focused on information that could be treated through the system. On this step begin with usecase diagram, flowchart, DFD (Data Flow Diagram), ERD (Entity Relationship Diagram), table design and relation, and the last is making application display design. 4) Construction is an applicating step, where the application was made based on data flow design and application flow design. 5) Deployment is a kind of testing the application with guidance from the researcher to get feedback to develop the application. The results of this research is the SMS-based web application that is able to facilitate communication between schools and parents with test results as follows: 82,4 from system expert, 81,6 from teacher and administration staff and 79,76 from parents and it means that the application could be used.Keywords: SMS gateway, web based, communication and information media, SMSABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan sebuah aplikasi yang dapat membantu orang tua dan pihak sekolah dalam hal penyampaian informasi. Aplikasi ini berbasis Web dan SMS (Short Message Service). Aplikasi ini dapat menghubungkan orang tua murid dan sekolah melalui SMS yang dikirim. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMK Negeri 1 Kudus dengan menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data seperti wawancara, menyebarkan lembar penilaian dan dokumentasi. Model yang digunakan dalam pembuatan Aplikasi Web Berbasis SMS sebagai media penyalur informasi dan komunikasi antara sekolah dengan orang tua siswa adalah Waterfall dengan langkah-langkah sebagai berikut : (1) Communication berupa diskusi awal antara peneliti dengan pihak sekolah. (2) Planning merupakan tahap perancangan kebutuhan software, kebutuhan hardware dan kebutuhan fungsionalitas. (3)Modeling yaitu tahap perancangan aplikasi yang berfokus pada pemrosesan data. Tahap ini dimulai dengan pembuatan Use case Diagram, Flowchart, DFD (Data Flow Diagram), ERD (Entity Relationship Diagram), Desain Tabel dan Relasinya, dan yang terakhir adalah pembuatan Desain Tampilan Aplikasi. (4)Construction yaitu tahap implementasi berdasarkan alur data dan alur aplikasi yang telah dibuat. (5)Deployment merupakan tahap pengujian kepada pihak SMK dengan bimbingan dari peneliti untuk mendapatkan masukan untuk pengembangan aplikasi yang selanjutnya. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah aplikasi web berbasis SMS yang mampu mempermudah komunikasi antara sekolah dan orang tua siswa dengan hasil pengujian sebagai berikut : Dari ahli sistem 82,4, dari guru dan staf tata administrasi 81,6, dan dari orang tua 79,76. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa aplikasi ini layak untuk digunakan.Kata kunci: SMS Gateway, web, penyalur informasi dan komunikasi, SMS

Abstract

This study aims to determine (1) Is there a difference in students' cognitive understanding of the blended learning model based on video tutorials and conventional learning; (2) Is the use of video tutorial based blended learning models more effective than conventional learning on basic graphic design subjects. This study uses a quasi-experimental design method with a pretest-posttest control group design model. The population in this study were students of class X TKJ 1 and X TKJ 2 SMK Negeri 1 Banyudono. The sample used was 71 people. The sampling technique used is non-probability sampling. Data collection techniques using pretest-posttest and observation sheets. Data analysis techniques used are the balance test, normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing using an independent sample t-test. The results of the study are as follows. First, First, there are differences in students' cognitive understanding of video tutorial based blended learning models with conventional learning. secondly, the blended learning model based on video tutorials has a higher effectiveness compared to conventional learning on the learning understanding of class X TKJ students in SMK Negeri 1 Banyudono

Abstract

The activities of the job training is an activity that must be implemented at Vocational Secondary School. The lack of utilization of technology on such activities in Vocational Secondary School,  so the data management of the job training become less effective and efficient. Therefore, it is necessary the information system for manage the data on the job training and produces the decision support of the decent industry of the job training as a result of the evaluation of the job training. This research has a goal to produce decision support system to determine the feasibility of the job training industry (SPK-KTP), measure the feasibility of the system, and produce a decision support using a Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method. The information system can help the school to manage the administration on the job training, recap the daily journal, recap the reports in pursuit, and provide decision support the job training of decent industry used in the next period. SPK-KTP uses SAW method to produce decision support the job training of decent industry. SPK-KTP is the web-based information system which it is developed using the programming language PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor). This information system uses The Waterfall Model as its system development method. The steps of The Waterfall Model consists of Analysis, Design, Code, and Test. SPK-KTP has done testing to an expert of the information system with value 90,7%, an expert of the substance of the job training with value  91,6%, supervising teachers with value 83,3%, and learners with value 90,6%. Based on the result, so SPK-KTP is very decent to use.

Abstract

Data mining is a knowledge used to get information from multiple data. C.45 Algorithm is one of data mining algorithm to classify data to many categories. Implementation of data mining not only could be used in industrial section but it could be used to in educational section (educational data mining) to help teacher and student improve their learning quality. This research purposed to know the implementation of data mining to predict student achievement from many factors could be effected . The research use Knowledge Discovery in Database method and it would be analyzed by accuration calculated from classify model that be form. Result of the research is the rules that formed by the decision tree and it could predict student achievement . Teacher could use it to give special treatment to student who got not good prediction.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the process of enculturation of mask art with a case study in the wooden batik (batik Kayu) enterprise of Bobung Village, Patuk, Gunung Kidul, Yogyakarta. This study method uses a netnographic approach, which in principle is the same as classical ethnography, except that netnography uses the internet as a research media. The data were sourced from informants, places & events, and documents or archives. Data from informants were collected using in-depth online interviews. Place and event data were collected using online participatory observation techniques. In addition, the source documents or archives were collected using data analysis techniques or literature studies on relevant online data. The validity of the data was tested by using informant review techniques and source triangulation. Data were analyzed using flow techniques with data reduction, display, and verification procedures. The results of the study show that the process of enculturation or culture of mask art, both classic masks and creative masks (batik Kayu), is carried out informally (family environment), non-formal (community, UKM, and studio), and formal (learning in schools). This enculturation process is carried out from generation to generation, when the mask is still a classic mask (Panji mask) until the mask develops into a superior product with economic and tourism value as it is today (Creative Mask). The art of batik and classical masks has become the identity of the people of Bobung Village, Gunung Kidul, who have undergone changes in form, function and meaning during the enculturation process from previous generations to the next.

Abstract

Panji masks represent faces of figures in the Panji legend. This study is focused on exploring the values of character education in Panji mask structure of knights, giants, and ladies characters from Semiotics perspective as a source of character education reconstruction. The study was conducted descriptively and qualitatively. Data in the from of information were obtained from key informants, places or events, and documents or archives related to Panji Mask. The data were collected through indepth interview techniques, participatory observation, and analysis of documents or archives. The data validity was tested by source triangulation and review informant techniques.The data were analyzed by an interactive analysis model consisting of three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The result of the study shows that in the Panji Mask structure of knights, giants, and ladies characters reflect excellent character education values to reconstruct the nation character. This study is important and beneficial as the results suggested by the research might be contributive for the nation character building completing the other researches’ result which mainly focus on Panji Mask in performing arts.
