Abstract

Education in Islamic Perspectives: A Review of Muhammad Natsir's Thought. Natsir's thought in education is inevitably related to his social, political, and religious background, although his religious comprehension is dominant. According to Natsir, education is an effort to build the human beings physically and spiritually to be a perfect one. The physical and spiritual perfection is indicated by the worldly-material need fulfillment and the hereafter-spiritual need fulfillment combined. The only way to the ultimate goal is tauhid as a foundation. The objective of education is to create generations possessing independence, creativity, and spirit to do what others did not do. Education needs to avoid creating generations dependent on others.

Abstract

Islam as a religion has a doctrine full final, complete, comprehensive and universal, so that the texts that became the guiding principle is universally viewed as well. In the real level, especially in need of interpretation, often leading to problems of its own because each group has a flow that allows the results are different interpretations. This is like the Salafi group based its interpretation on groups considered heretical Islamic sects other, so that a constraint when a dialogue about the development of tolerance values. Despite the rejection of the dialogue is actually contrary to the Qur'an itself. Key words: Salafi, tolerance, interpretation, heretical innovation

Abstract

Islam sebagai agama yang membawa rahmat sering tereduksi oleh  dominannya penafsiran doktrin syari’ah oleh masing-masing kelompok keagamaan. Hanya karena mereka tidak  saling komunikasi dan saling silaturahmi, maka bila adapersoalan, sulit dicari jalan solusinya. Oleh karena  itu ketika diajukan ide untuk membentuk forum silaturahmi intelektual dan  sosial,  ecara umum mereka menyetujuinya.   Dalam pengembangan nilai-nilai toleransi, kelompok aliran Syahadatain sangat toleran, baik dalam melakukan ibadah salat maupun dalam   kehidupan sosial.  Sebagaimana keberadaan kelompok aliran lainnya seperti  Nahdlatul Ulama, Muhammadiyah, Al Irsyad, Islam, Salâfí maupun lainnya, mereka adalah saudara se-agama, karena mereka telah bersyahadat. Bahkan ketika jamaah Syahadatain melakukan tawasul dengan wirid  membaca surat Al Fatihah, ditujukan kepada  seluruh  Shahabat, para ‘ulama, para guru mereka, dan semua  orang yang telah memberikan ilmu yang  bermanfaat,  dengan tanpa memandang mereka dari mana madzhabnya.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengetahui persepsi dan konsepsi kelompok aliran terhadap nilai-nilai toleransi, moderasi, dan ukhuwah; (2) mengetahui karakter kelompok aliran dalam merespons keberadaan teknologi informasi (TI), khususnya jejaring Islamic Social Networking yang dijadikan pusat dalam memfungsikan media “Forum Konsultasi Bersama”. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan analisas interaktif. Adapun objek penelitian ini adalah Hizbut Tahrir Indonesia, Salafi, Jama’ah Tabligh, dan Lembaga Dakwah Islamiyah Indonesia (LDII). Adapun hasilnya adalah: (1) kelompok aliran keagamaan Islam memiliki karakter lebih mendominankan kelompoknya sendiri dibandingkan dengan kepentingan bersama, terutama jika hal tersebut terkait dengan persoalan yang lebih mendekati ”keagamaan”. Meskipun pandangannya terhadap nilai-nilai toleransi, moderasi, dan ukhuwah sangat baik dan perlu diaplikasikan, tetapi hal itu masih merupakan wacana dan pemikiran; dan (2) karakter kelompok aliran keagamaan Islam dalam merespons terhadap media jejaring sosial Islamic social networking masih kurang antusias. Hal ini terlihat dari kurang pedulinya mereka dalam mengikuti kegiatan sosialisasi maupun terhadap jejaring sosial yang telah dilaunching. Kata Kunci: karakter, jejaring sosial, kelompok aliran, dan toleransi THE CHARACTER OF ISLAMIC SECTS IN RENSPONSE TO ISLAMIC SOCIAL NETWORKING IN BENYUMAS REGENCY Abstract: This study aims to describe (1) the perception and conception of the Islamic sects towards the values of tolerance, moderation and brotherhood; and (2) the character of the Islamic sects in response to the existence of information technology (IT), especially to the social media of Islamic Social Networking used as the center for functioning the media of "Joint Consultation Forum". The method used in this research was descriptive qualitative with an interactive analysis technique. The subjects of this research were: Hizbut Tahrir Indonesia (HTI), Salafi, the Tabligh (preaching) participants, and the Indonesian Islamic Mission Institute (LDII). The results of this research are that: (1) the Islamic sects have the character of giving more priorities to their own group interests compared with the common interests, particularly if they relate to matters concerning the religious affairs. Although their views on the values of tolerance, moderation and brotherhood were very good and worthy of application, but they were still a mere discourse and thinking; and (2) the character of Islamic sects’ response to the social media of Islamic Social Networking still lacked enthusiasm. This could be seen from their in difference in joining the socialization activities and participation in the social networks that have been launched. Abstract

Islam entered the territory of Malaysia, especially in the Malacca kingdom, through Muslim merchants from India and Arab-Persia around the 7th century AD The broad development took place around the 13th century, with the discovery of inscriptions nuanced by Islam. Islamic political thought and movement was more intensive since the struggle for political compromise to gain independence from British colonialism. The Islamic political movement has a spectacular momentum when the Malaysian Constitution places Islam as the official religion of the state and makes ethnic Malays as a special group (special privileges) over other ethnic groups. The development of Islam is supported by an Islamic political movement that is controlled by political parties holding power, namely UMNO, even though Islam is inclusive and upholds the value of nationalism, its work still prioritizes Islamic values. Opposition parties such as PAS which are more fundamaentalist in their ethical sense have actually been adopted by the ruling party. This means that the two parties benefited the existence of Islam. Referring to the peaceful Islamic political movement in order to uphold the teachings of Islam in Malaysia, both legally and formally and constitutionally and culturally, it can be an inspiration to other Muslim-majority countries.

Abstract

A Hadith states that Muslims will disunity into 73 groups. When the Prophet was still alive all the problems of the Ummah could be returned to him, so there was no disunity. But after he died, many problems surfaced. The event of tahkim (arbitration) as an attempt to resolve the Shiffin war, instead gave rise to three major groups, namely the Shi’ite, Khawarij and Muawwiyah. The last group is often referred to as the ahlus Sunni. These events are often used as legal points, for the emergence of various religious groups in Islam today. The writing of this study uses the study literature method. As for the results of this study concluded, that: a) The Hadith concerning "The disunity of the people into 73 groups", included the famous Hadith (popular), the Hadith that has been widely delivered by many figures and the general public also knows it; b) The narrators on each path or sanad traversed by the mukharrij al Hadith, on thobaqat tabi'in namely Abi Salamah with a friend named Abu Hurairah unknown meeting, so the position of this Hadith is not up to the degree of saheeh, because it is not continued (ghoiru muttasil). Based on the Quran, Hadith, or ushul analysis, the Hadith about the disunity of Muslims into 73 groups, it is better not to be used as the main material in lectures and or sermons, because it brings more damage than the benefit.

Abstract

The title of this article: "Study on Social Cohesion of the Salafi group in Banyumas". The purpose of this study was to determine and find out on social cohesion in the group of Salafi.The methods of this research was used by qualitative approach and its analysis of data using interactive methods. Results from this study: 1) That the Salafist Group came in Banyumas region   approximately the 1980s. Formally, this group has no organization, so they do not have a leader, despite having members of the congregation. If a person be a leader, then the informal nature, and designated are their teachers. 2) Salafi groups are hard to get back to the Qur'an and Sunnah and follow what is done by the as-Salaf as-Ṣāliḥ (السلف الصالح ) as generation of Companions, Tabi'in and Tabi'it Tabi'in in conducting all activities of life; 3) The social cohesion within the Salafi group is so strong. It is caused by the similarity in following the teachings of which are known to them, recognition of the truths taught by their teachers, and intellectual relationship (study) conducted with its members continuously and do not want to learn except to their teachers.
