Abstract

Environmental damage has a direct impact on human life judging by environmental problems that are increasingly rampant. This damage is caused by human activities that are not environmentally friendly that always occur so that environmental damage does not occur continuously for human life in the future need better recovery. Community participation can be given in the form of thoughts/ideas, materials, energy, and skills to help the success of disaster management programs. The method used in this research is the ethnographic method about the Rejang tribe community as the center of competency cultivation including qualitative research type. Local wisdom of Cao Mukak Imbo Custom in Rejang tribal communities is very rich in forms of local wisdom can be in the form of values, norms, beliefs, and special rules. The form of local wisdom Cao Mukak Imbo Custom is very instrumental in disaster mitigation as for the prohibition contained in the local wisdom is the rule of working on land steep areas or around waterfalls if we review in fact because these areas are water catchment areas and when cultivated and planted plants such as palawija can trigger landslides or floods. Preserving the culture we have will encourage the skills and knowledge possessed by local communities. Local wisdom a noble value prevailing in the community's life system to protect and manage the environment wisely and wisely so that the environment is maintained sustainably.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the coping strategies for scavenger families in meeting basic needs during the Covid-19 pandemic at the Air Sebakul TPA, Sukarami Village, Selebar District, Bengkulu City. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of observation, interviews and documentation studies. This study involved 11 people as informants who were selected using purposive sampling. In fulfilling the clothing needs of 11 informants before the Covid-19 pandemic, they were still met, but during the Covid-19 pandemic, of which only 2 informants applied the Coping Strategy of Seeking Social Support and 9 other informants applied the Coping Strategy of Planful Problem Solving. To fulfill food needs, 11 informants applied Coping Strategy Planful Problem Solving. However, in meeting the educational needs of children from 11 informants, only 2 informants were able to meet the educational needs of their children and 9 other informants were not fulfilled. The recommendations of this research are addressed to the Bengkulu City Sanitation Office, which should continue to improve waste management, so that it can help scavenger families in achieving a better standard of living.

Abstract

The economy is a related subject that largely determines how resources will be allocated. The main focus in this paper is to determine the effect of infrastructure development on the development of community-based settlement development in the area of ??the journal literature review. Based on a literature review of several journals published in the last 5 years with related titles so as to produce and find and model an infrastructure development problem that has an influence on settlement development in improving the economy in a region. Infrastructure seems to be the answer to the needs of countries that want to boost economic growth, by helping reduce poverty, improve the quality of life, support the growth of economic centers and increase the mobility of goods and services and lower the costs of activities of domestic and foreign investors. settlement development on such a basis must be supported by appropriate infrastructure so that development and development are in line with the wishes of various stakeholders. By developing community-based settlement trends.
