Abstract

ABSTRAKKemiringan jalan menyebabkan pengendara sepeda motor lebih berhati-hati dalam mengendarai kendaraannya. Selain untuk keamanan, sudut elevasi jalan dapat mempengaruhi dalam pengendalian kendaraan sehingga dapat lebih menghemat energi. Pada paper ini sensor Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) digunakan untuk mengetahui kemiringan kendaraan sepeda motor (naik/turun dan condong kiri/kanan). Dalam perancangannya beberapa data akselerasi dari sensor accelerometer IMU diolah dengan regresi sehingga diperoleh persamaan regresi yang kemudian digunakan untuk memperbanyak data sehingga data tersebut dapat digunakan untuk prediksi model antara 3 input nilai akselerasi dan 2 output nilai kemiringan sudut kendaraan. Prediksi model berhasil dengan indentifikasi menggunakan metode Least Square. Dari data pengamatan diperoleh bahwa rata-rata kesalahan absolut untuk kemiringan naik/turun dan condong kiri/kanan antara 5 o s/d 7 o, namun belum berhasil untuk sudut yang besar (70 o s/d 90 o).Kata kunci: IMU, accelerometer, sudut elevasi, Arduino, Least Square ABSTRACTThe slope of the road leads to awareness of motorcyclists ini riding their motorcycle addition to safety, the elevation angle of the road can affect vehicle control so that it can save more energy. In this paper the IMU sensor is used to determine the slope of a motorcycle (up / down and leaning left / right). In the design of some acceleration data from the IMU accelerometer sensor is processed so that the regression equation is obtained. The regression equation is used to generate the data to predict the model 3 input acceleration value and 2 output slope value of the vehicle. Model prediction was successful by identification using the Least Square method. Obtained from observational data that the average absolute error for the slope up / down and leaning left / right between 5 o to 7 o, but has not been successful for wide angles (70 o to 90 o).Keywords: IMU, accelerometer, elevation angle, Arduino, Least Square

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus is a chronic metabolic disorder which is a serious problem for the health of the people of Indonesia and the world, so the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) and the World Health Organization (WHO) set November 14 as World Diabetes Day. The aim of the research is to increase public knowledge about Diabetes Mellitus, to behave and behave as they should in their daily lives, starting with lifestyle and patterns of food and drink intake. Counseling is carried out to PKK cadres as the spearhead who continue to the community members. The study design was a lecture accompanied by cross sectional pre and post test data collection. The results of the knowledge aspects of the study showed that there was a very significant difference between the pre and post test results (p = 0,000). The attitude aspect showed that there was no significant difference between the pre and post test results (p = 0.257), but overall the cadre's attitude regarding a healthy lifestyle to prevent Diabetes Mellitus was good enough. Behavioral aspects indicate that there are respondents who behave well, a maximum value of 3, but some are not good, a minimum value of 0. The results of blood sugar tests when showing as many as 69.57% of participants are not certain to have DM, while the rest are not DM. The conclusion is that there is a very significant increase in PKK cadre knowledge, but there has not been a significant change in attitude after attending counseling.

Abstract

Community service is one of the Tri Dharma Colleges that must be carried out by higher education institutions no exception for Maranatha Christian University. Community-based devotional activities provide additional knowledge of Internet of Things (IoT) technology to high school students of class 12 science SMA X Bandung. The topic of community service activities this time is in accordance with the agreement of cooperation between the SMA X Bandung and the Electrical Engineering Study Program of Maranatha Christian University which coincided with the initial debriefing activity of the new academic year, namely by providing knowledge of IoT technology and its application to students of SMA X Bandung so that students can know and understand the development of IoT technology that is growing rapidly at this time. The material provided in community service activities is the introduction of IoT, the basic electronic components, the introduction of Arduino, the application of IoT, and the Blynk application for IoT. The training methods used are tutorials and practices, with 70% of the practice in the demonstration and experimental methods. Participants in this activity gain knowledge and understanding of IoT technology, can realize a simple IoT application, and can realize IoT using the Blynk application on a smartphone.

Abstract

ABSTRAKCardiac arrest merupakan permasalahan kesehatan yang signifikan. CPR dapat mengurangi resiko, namun tidak semua orang dapat melakukan CPR dengan benar. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut maka dibuat simulator pelatihan CPR yang dapat mengamati kedalaman dan frekuensi penekanan saat melakukan CPR. Simulator pelatihan CPR dibuat dengan sistem akuisisi data berupa estimasi kedalaman dan panduan kompresi. Sensor yang digunakan adalah accelerometer MMA 7361 dan force sensor FSR 406. Kedalaman dari akselerasi dapat diperoleh dengan mengintegralkan data accelerometer sebanyak dua kali. Integral dilakukan persiklus kompresi untuk mengurangi akumulasi error. Sistem panduan kompresi terdiri atas metronom sebagai acuan kecepatan kompresi, dan LED indikator frekuensi kompresi. Simulator pelatihan CPR ini memberikan estimasi kedalaman yang baik pada spons dan bantal menggunakan sampling rate sebesar 1 kHz dan integral per siklus kompresi.Kata kunci: Pelatihan CPR, Akuisisi Kedalaman, FSR 406, MMA7361 ABSTRACTCardiac arrest is a significant health problem. CPR can reduce risk, but not everyone can perform CPR correctly. Based on these problems, a CPR training simulator was created that can observe the depth and frequency of compressions when performing CPR. The CPR training simulator is built with a data acquisition system in the form of depth estimation and compression guidance. The sensors used are the MMA 7361 accelerometer and the FSR 406 force sensor. The depth of acceleration can be obtained by integrating the accelerometer data 2 times. The integral is performed per cycle of compression to reduce the accumulation of errors. The compression guidance system consists of a metronome as a reference for compression speed, and a compression frequency indicator LED. This CPR training simulator provides good depth estimation in sponges and pillows using a sampling rate of 1 kHz and integrals per compression cycle.Keywords: CPR Training, Depth Acquisition, FSR 406, MMA7361

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has greatly affected the learning process in practice, especially for people in the engineering field. Activities stopped and learning activities become very obstructed for a long time. Tinkercad is a simulator application that could be used as a learning tool or medium in engineering. The service learning method is used as a way of teaching and learning that links positive and meaningful action in society. Service learning uses demonstrations and experiments are used to transfer knowledge to society. A workshop elaborating the use of Tinkercad based on the service learning method was carried out online through community service activities to meet community needs in the engineering field. The workshop results showed that the service learning method was sufficient to help the community to meet the learning needs of engineering practices. A thorough demonstrations by instructors and experiments done by participants guided by assistants, produced a satisfactory result for more than 90% of the workshop participants. Periodic literacy provision was a follow-up to improve the abilities of all participants who have take part in workshop activities.

Abstract

Farmers in Sumbersari village, located in Bandung district, were in great need of assistance in effectively managing their paddy fields to ensure the production of high quality and high yield rice. One crucial factor that significantly impacts it is the proper application of urea fertilizer based on the conditions of the paddy plants, which can be determined by measuring the chlorophyll content present in the leaves of paddy plants. Therefore, mentoring and literacy activities were held to educate farmers on the utilization of a chlorophyll content measuring device which is the result of research previously conducted by the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Kristen Maranatha so that farmers are able to measure the precise amount of fertilizer that must be applied in accordance to the needs of their paddy plants. The mentoring methods covered socialization, demonstration, and hand-on practice with the measuring device. As the result, all farmers became proficient in using the measuring device that had previously been developed. The device’s size and weight are appropriately designed making it convenient for farmers to carry the device the fields and measure the chlorophyll content in the leaves of paddy plants.
