Abstract

Bali Island is an area that is flanked by two zones of earthquake potential to cause a tsunami. In this study produced the estimated tsunami heights (run up) and the tsunami arrival times (ETA) by simulating a tsunami with some magnitude variety of the earthquake using software called TOAST. The estimation is obtained by making a scenario of earthquake from parameters of earthquakes that have occurred and raised tsunami on the Bali Island as a reference. The observation area is in some coastal areas of Bali Island. The maximum value of run up is between 21.16 m to 55.6 m with tsunami arrival time is between 120 minutes to less than 15 minutes after an earthquake with 9.6 SR of magnitude. The area around Kuta Beach Badung is an area with high potential for run up.

Abstract

It has been conducted research on the qualitative analysis on amethyst coffee using LIBS.This study aims to determine the content of the element in amethyst coffee that can later be used as a comparison or reference further research in the elemental analysis amethyst coffee. With treatment, the laser irradiated amethyst coffee at 100 mJ, and the data retrieved by the accumulation of 3, delay time 1 µs and repetition as much as 3 points in different areas of each region analysis of depth function (Depth Profile) with 60 times the laser irradiation. The main element as a constituent amethyst Coffee is silicon (Si), Sodium (Na), calcium (Ca), potassium (K) and oxygen (O2), while the element on its outer surface is iron (Fe) and phosphorus (P) were analyzed using LIBS.

Abstract

It has been investigated the effect of slice thickness on image quality with the Contrast to Noise Ratio (CNR) parameter method using a Toshiba (TOS) phantom. The variations in the slice thickness used were 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 8 mm. The X-ray tube voltage and the X-ray current time used were 80 kV, and 100 mAs, which following the patient head examination protocol. The analysis of the effect of slice thickness on CNR values is determined with a simple regression test with an exponential curve.. The test results showed that variations in slice thickness affect CNR values, where the greater the slice thickness then the CNR value would be higher and better the image quality.

Abstract

The measurement of heart rate and body temperature are two of the five Vital Signs that indicate human health. During this time the heart rate is measured using a stethoscope or counting the heart rate through the wrist but this can cause a Human Error. So a tool is designed that can measure heart rate and body temperature using pulse sensor and IR MLX90614 besed on ATmega328 which results can be displayed through the website with patients having their own ID so that the data is not mixed with other patient data and equipped with a database so that it can store patient data. From the results of trials on 3 subjects classified according to the age of 5, 9 and 23 years. The average accuracy of heart rate and body temperature measurements between the design tools and standard equipment is 98.54% for heart rate and 95.97% for body temperature.

Abstract

East Nusa Tenggara is a region in Indonesia which included in the category of hazard prone to earthquakes, because it is flanked by two earthquakes zones, (subduction zone at the south and back arc trust in the north). It is also vulnerable to earthquake disasters because of high population density. These conditions would threaten the safety of lives and property of the population, so it needs to be research to analyze the level of earthquake hazard and vulnerability in East Nusa Tenggara. For identification of the level of hazard and the vulnerability of the earthquake in this study using two factors: the danger factor with indicator Peak Ground Acceleration, vulnerability factors with indicators of population density districts in East Nusa Tenggara. The calculation of the value of PGA use attenuation function of Fukushima and Tanaka. From the calculation of the data obtained that has a very high earthquake hazard is in Ende and Alor district, while the district has a very high risk of vulnerability is in Sikka, Sumba Barat Daya and Sabu Raijua.

Abstract

Research has been carried out on 3D modeling of the subsurface structure of Mount Anak Ranakah and its surroundings. This study aims to create a map and determine the value of the complete bouguer anomaly, regional anomaly, residual anomaly, subsurface density value and create a 3D model of the subsurface structure. The data used is secondary data, namely satellite gravity anomaly data obtained from the Topex website. Data processing in this study using the gravity method. In this method, gravity correction will be carried out, making a complete bouguer anomaly map, performing spectrum analysis, separating regional and residual anomalies using a butterworth filter and performing inverse modeling using ZondGM3D software to create a 3D model of subsurface structures. The results of the complete Bouguer anomaly map show the anomalous value of the study area between 134.6-209.3 mGal, regional anomaly 147.4-205.9 mGal and residual anomaly between (-12.8)-11.0 mGal. The inverse modeling results show that the subsurface geological structure of Mount Anak Ranakah and its surroundings has a density range between 1.2-3.0 g/cm3, so that from the range of rock density values ??it can be estimated that the subsurface geological structure of Anak Ranakah and its surroundings consists of soil rock (1.2-2.3 g/cm3) andesite 2.40-2.80 g/cm3) and basalt (2.70-3.0 g/cm3).

Abstract

Research on the influence of El-Nino Southern Oscillation (ENSO) on climate variability in Sulawesi has been down using wavelet transform method. The data used in this research is the data from 2003 to 2011 which include data SST from satellite Aqua Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) level 3, rainfall data from satellite Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission (TRMM), and data Sea Level Pressure (SLP) from Climate Prediction Centre (CPC). The data were analyzed using Fourier transform to see the high period of the anomaly SPL Nino 3.4, SOI and Sulawesi rainfall anomalies. The data also analysis using wavelet transform. From the result of wavelet transform it for obtained that the power spectrum (ps) that used to find correlation between ps ENSO indicators for ps Sulawesi rainfall anomalies. Based on the results of the research, the ENSO phenomenon is impact of climate variability in the form of heavy Sulawesi rainfall in 2010. The results of the correlation ps SST anomaly Nino 3.4 to ps Sulawesi rainfall anomalies occur significant positive correlation in the period from 1.5 to 1.6 years and 2.2 to 4.5 years, while the correlation of the ps SOI ps Sulawesi rainfall anomalies occur positive correlation significantly in the period from 1.5 to 1.6 years and 2.2 to 4.6 years.

Abstract

It has been successfully designed an alcohol levels measuring instrument using MQ-3 sensor. The detected alcohol levels processed to be displayed on GUI Visual Basic 6.0 through several circuits, the sensor circuit, the Atmega16 microcontroller minimum system, 5V voltage regulator circuits, CH340 serial communication module and GUI Visual Basic 6.0. The entire circuit is powered by 5VDC regulator circuit. The measurement range of this instrument measures alcohol level in the range 0% to 70%, the levels measured by the instrument will be classified according to the regulations sets by Indonesian government. The instrument works by employing the characteristics of the MQ-3 sensor which has proportional voltage change with alcohol levels that is detected. The Atmega16 circuit is the main unit for data processing, the microcontroller performs the analog to digital data conversion and estimates this digital data into matching alcohol levels. Alcohol content data that processed is displayed on the GUI Visual Basic 6.0 through serial communication module CH340. Detected alcohol levels by this instrument compared with the alcohol levels of sample is match by 99.57%.
