Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu dan dilakukan di SMKN 1 Meranti yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh dari model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) terhadap peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI SMKN 1 Meranti T.A 2017/2018. Sedangkan yang menjadi sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI TKJ-1 yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran PBL dan siswa kelas XI TKJ-2 yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran konvensional yang masing-masing kelas berjumlah 24 dan 27 orang. Rata-rata nilai pretest kelas XI TKJ-1 adalah 58,23 dan rata-rata nilai pretest kelas XI TKJ-2 adalah 57,59. Sedangkan rata-rata nilai postest kelas XI TKJ-1  adalah 87,92 dan nilai postest kelas XI TKJ-2 adalah 77,59. Kemudian rata-rata nilai selisih postest-pretest untuk kelas XI TKJ-1 adalah 29,69 sedangkan untuk kelas XI TKJ-2 adalah 20. Dari hasil analisis data selisih postest-pretest pada kedua kelas diperoleh nilai signifikansi (p value) pada tabel output SPSS sebesar 0,200 untuk kelas XI TKJ-1 dan untuk kelas XI TKJ-2. Karena data keseluruhannya memiliki nilai > 0,05 sehingga dapat dinyatakan bahwa data selisih posttest dengan pretest baik untuk kelas eksperimen maupun kelas kontrol berdistribusi normal. Sedangkan untuk uji homogenitas data, berdasarkan tabel output SPSS diperoleh nilai signifikansi (p value) pada data selisih posttest-pretest kelas eksperimen dan kontrol sebesar 0,449. Karena data tersebut memiliki nilai signifikansi > 0,05 maka dinyatakan homogen. Kemudian untuk uji hipotesis data, berdasarkan  tabel output SPSS didapat bahwasanya nilai signifikansi adalah 0,000. Karena nilai signifikansi < 0,05 sehingga disimpulkan bahwa Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak yang artinya terdapat pengaruh dari model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) terhadap peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa pada kelas XI SMKN 1 Meranti.  Kata kunci: Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah, Model Pembelajaran, Problem Based Learning (PBL), Konvensional ABSTRACT This research is a quasi-experimental research and was conducted in SMKN 1 Meranti which aims to find out whether there is any influence of Problem Based Learning (PBL) model to improve students' mathematical problem solving abilities. Population in this research is all of the students of class XI SMKN 1 Meranti T.A 2017/2018. The sample of this study is the students of class XI TKJ-1 which were taught with PBL model and students of class XI TKJ-2 were taught with conventional model. Each class consisted of 24 and 27 students. The average pretest value of XI TKJ-1 is 58,23 and the average pretest value of XI TKJ-2 is 57,59. While the average posttest value of class XI TKJ-1 is 87,92 and the average posttest value of XI TKJ-2 is 77,59. And then the average value of posttest-pretest difference for class XI TKJ-1 is 29,69 whereas for class XI TKJ-2 is 20. From the result of data analysis in posttest-pretest difference in both classes, the value of significance (p value) then obtained in the output table of SPSS which is 0,200 for both class, class XI TKJ-1 and class XI TKJ-2. Because the overall data has the significance value > 0,05 so it can be stated that the posttest-pretest difference data for either the experimental class or the control class is normally distributed. While for the homogeneity test, based on SPSS output table it was obtained that the value of significance (p value) on posttest-pretest difference data of experiment and control class is 0,449. Because the data’s significance value > 0,05 then it was stated as homogeneous. And then to test the hypothesis of the data, based on SPSS output table it was obtained that the significance value is 0,000. Because the data’s significance value < 0,05 so it is then concluded that Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected which means there is influence of Problem Based Learning (PBL) model to improve students' mathematical problem solving abilities in class XI SMKN 1 Meranti.Keywords: Problem Solving Abilities, Learning Model, Problem Based Learning (PBL), Conventional

Abstract

The research aims to determine whether: (1) there is an effect of contextual learning and direct learning on student learning outcomes, (2) the learning outcomes of students who have high initial abilities are better than those of students with moderate or low initial abilities, and (3)) there is an interaction between the learning model and students' initial abilities on learning outcomes. The research method used is quantitative research methods. This research was conducted at SMP N 2 Padangsidimpuan with a sample of 2 classes, namely class IX-10 with 26 students and class IX - 9 with 28 students. Both classes were given a preliminary ability test and a final test in the form of essay questions. After the research data is obtained, the hypothesis is tested by two-way ANOVA. From the results of the ANOVA calculation, it was concluded that: (1) The direct learning model and the contextual learning model had a significant influence on student learning outcomes, seen from the value of F count = 4.132 > F table = 4.03, (2) The learning outcomes of students who have High initial ability is better than the learning outcomes of students who have moderate or low initial abilities in the curved side space material, seen from the value of F count = 61.634 > F table = 4.03, and (3) there is no interaction between the learning model and the ability The beginning of the student learning outcomes in the curved side space material, seen from the value of F count = 0.052 < F table = 4.03.

Abstract

Visual thinking skills play a role in solving problems from questions that require high-level reasoning. Based on the facts in the field, it can be seen that students' visual thinking abilities are still low, students are still unable to visualize the components contained in a flat-sided shape. This research has several objectives: (1) To determine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of developing learning media assisted by Macromedia Flash using CTL-based learning; and (2) to find out the increase in visual thinking skills of junior high school students through CTL-based mathematics learning media assisted by Macromedia Flash. This research includes development research. This study uses the 4-D Thiagarajan development model. The subjects in this study were students of class VIII-A at Al-Manar Private Middle School, Medan, Johor. Meanwhile, the object of this study is the learning media assisted by Macromedia Flash, the materials developed for Flat Sided Spaces (Cubes and Blocks). The results of this study indicate that: (1) The developed mathematics learning media also meets valid, practical, and effective criteria; (2) Improving students' visual thinking abilities using learning media developed on cube and block material, the average value increased from trial I of 67.91 to 74.16 in trial II. The developed Macromedia Flash-assisted learning media has fulfilled the aspects of validity, practicality, effectiveness, so it is recommended for teachers to be able to use this learning media to develop visual thinking skills, especially for class VIII of Al-Manar Private Middle School Medan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) Hasil analisis studi literatur pengaruh pendekatan STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa, (2) Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis melalui pendekatan STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). Jenis penlitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode penelitian yaitu studi literature atau studi kepustakaan. Data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dari kumpulan literatur seperti jurnal penelitian yang relevan dengan topik pembahasan yang dilaksanakan di Digital Library Universitas Negeri Medan. Teknik anaslisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis Miles and Huberman yaitu pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Dari analisis di dapat bahwa: (1) Pendekatan STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan berpikir krtitis siswa. (2) ada beberapa faktor yang meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dengan penerapan pendekatan STEM ((Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) yaitu faktor internal meliputi kemampuan yang dimiliki siswa, motivasi dan keaktifan siswa dan faktor eksternal meliputi kondisi lingkungan belajar dan bahan ajar yang diberikan oleh guru.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hasil belajar mahasiswa berdasarkan gaya belajar pada mata kuliah teori bilangan. Sampel penelitian adalah mahasiswa mahasiswa program studi pendidikan matematika, FKIP, Universitas Nias semester II tahun akademik 2022/2023. Jenis teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis data kuantitatif. Data penelitian diperoleh dari pemberian tes hasil belajar mahasiswa berbentuk pertanyaan multiple choice berjumlah 20 pertanyaan. Anget yang dipakai adalah angket tertutup yang disusun berdasarkan O’Brien. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai mahasiswa dipengaruhi oleh gaya belajar dengan hasil analisis regresi diperoleh sebesar 46,1%. Sedangkan berdasarkan analisis korelasinya maka diperoleh bahwa hubungan antara hasil belajar dengan gaya belajar sangat kuat. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa gaya belajar mempengaruhi hasil belajar mahasiswa pada mata kuliah teori bilangan.
