Abstract

AbstractIn the agribusiness fisheries, partnership strategies can be utilized to minimize of price fluctuations and expand market chains. Such as the case carried out by the tilapia farmer group (O. niloticus) with the BBI (Fish Breeding Centre) in the Wlingi area, Blitar Regency. The purpose of this study is to determine of benefits for partnership cooperation and its impact to tilapia hatchery (O. niloticus) in Wlingi, Blitar Regency with a qualitative research method approach based on natural conditions in the field, then the research data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively using a comparison matrix table. The results of the study showed that the partnership corporate had lasted for 6.5 years with the number of active partners as many as 15 FH. In its journey, partnership can provide benefits for both partners. For BBI, the partnership will provide benefits in the form of the availability of sustainable seed production and the effectiveness of production mechanism. As for farmer, cooperation provides a variety of benefits from the availability of superior brood stock, the certainty of marketing customers, the give utility of production infrastructure, as well as the technical assistance. Then, based on the comparison matrix, the partnership is able to provide various positive changes to the business conditions of tilapia (O. niloticus) hatchery. In addition to technical and non-technical impacts, this collaboration also provides social impacts, risk management, and a more competent marketing system. So as a whole, it can be concluded that the partnership can provide benefits for both partners who are mutually beneficial based on agreements the attributes of the rights and obligations from each partner. While the wider impact, partnership cooperation is considered capable of providing a variety of positive changes to the business conditions of tilapia (O. niloticus) hatchery in terms of business management and technical operations of aquaculture during the partnership collaboration.Keywords: Partnership, Fish Breeding Centre, Oreochromis niloticus, Fish Farmers AbstrakDalam usaha agrobisnis perikanan, strategi kemitraan dapat dimanfaatkan untuk meminimalisir fluktuasi harga serta memperluas rantai pasar. Seperti kasus yang dilakukan oleh kelompok pembenih ikan nila (O. niloticus) dengan pihak BBI (Balai Benih Ikan) di daerah Wlingi, Kabupaten Blitar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui manfaat kerjasama kemitraan serta dampaknya terhadap usaha pembenihan ikan nila (O. niloticus) di Wlingi, Kabupaten Blitar dengan pendekatan metode penelitian kualitatif berdasarkan kondisi alamiah di lapang, selanjutnya data penelitian dianalisa secara deskriptif kualitatif menggunakan tabel matrik perbandingan. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan, kerjasama kemitraan telah berlangsung selama 6.5 tahun dengan jumlah mitra aktif sebanyak 15 RTP. Dalam perjalanannya, kerjasama kemitraan dapat memberikan keuntungan untuk kedua pihak mitra. Bagi pihak BBI kemitraan akan memberikan keuntungan dalam bentuk tersedianya produksi benih yang berkesinambungan dan efektifitas operasional produksi. Sedangkan bagi pembenih, kerjasama memberikan beragam manfaat mulai tersedianya induk ikan unggulan, kepastian jasa pemasaran, bantuan sarana prasarana produksi, serta adanya pendampingan teknis. Kemudian, berdasarkan matrik perbandingan, kemitraan mampu memberikan berbagai perubahan positif terhadap kondisi usaha pembenihan ikan nila (O. niloticus). Selain dampak teknis dan nonteknis, kerjasama ini juga memberikan dampak sosial, manajemen resiko, dan sistem pemasaran yang lebih kompeten. Sehingga secara keseluruhan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kerjasama kemitraan dapat memberikan manfaat untuk kedua belah pihak mitra yang saling menguntungkan berdasarkan pemenuhan atribut hak dan kewajiban masing-masing mitra. Sementara dampak yang lebih luas, kerjasama kemitraan dinilai mampu memberikan berbagai perubahan positif terhadap kondisi usaha pembenihan ikan nila (O. niloticus) dari sisi manajemen usaha dan teknis operasional budidaya selama siklus kemitraan berlangsung.Kata kunci: Kemitraan, Balai Benih Ikan, Oreochromis niloticus, Pembenih Ikan

Abstract

Shrimp farming with a non-partial harvest system is a cultivation concept to obtain optimal production harvest. The purpose of this study was to determine the business feasibility status of vaname shrimp (L. vannamei) cultivation with a non-partial harvesting system in terms of the ecological and financial aspects from aquaculture. The research method used in this study is a survey research method with data collection techniques based on purposive sampling. The results showed, this non-partial system is ecologically very feasible, because the conditions of the average daily water quality parameter values (DO, pH, temperature, salinity) during the aquaculture period are still above the water quality standard threshold for intensive aquaculture. The business financial feasibility analysis resulted in a profit of IDR 441,307,102,-, BEP Unit 2,062 Kg, BEP Sales IDR 119,995,253,-, R/C of 1.71, Return on Investment of 47.69%, and Payback Period of 2.7 years. Meanwhile based on investment analysis, the Net Present Value of IDR 34,136,139,245,-, Net B/C 11.61, and Internal Rate of Return 37.23%. So, it can be denied, that based on ecological aspects and economic multiplication of aquaculture systems like this can be categorized as very feasible and profitable to be globally developed.

Abstract

The diffusion process is a limiting factor that key plays for the oxygen transfer mechanism in the pond water column. The purpose of this study was to determine of oxygen diffusion rate during the blind feeding period of intensive shrimp culture of vaname (L. vannamei). This research was conducted for 30 days blind feeding period of intensive vaname shrimp culture, the research using concept of ex-pose facto causal design. Furthermore, the oxygen diffusion rate is calculated mathematically and a regression test is carried out on the associated water quality parameters. During the blind feeding period, the oxygen diffusion rate fluctuates and dynamically, with a diffusion rate ranging from 0.015-0.028 mgO2/L/hour. This condition is followed by a stabilizing and optimum condition of pond water quality parameter values throughout in the aquaculture. Diurnal periodically, the oxygen diffusion mechanism has an influence on the level of oxygen solubility in ponds. This relationship is modeled by the equation Y = 0.006 + 0.002x. This means that for each diffusion transfer increase of 1 mgO2/L/hour, there will be an oxygen increase in the ponds of 0.002 mg/L. The conclusion of this study is that the oxygen diffusion rate during the blind feeding period of intensive vaname shrimp culture obtained an average at 0.020 mgO2/L/hour, ranging from 0.018-0.023 mgO2/L/hour for 30 days of culture. From the results of this study, it is hoped that research can be developed study regarding of mechanisms, dynamics, and the effect of oxygen diffusion on the intensive shrimp farming ecology.

Abstract

Efektifitas penggunaan kincir air selama masa periode blind feeding budidaya intensif udang vannamei (Litopenaeus vannamei) merupakan salah satu kegiatan penting yang harus diperhatikan demi kelangsungan siklus budidaya yang stabil. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat transfer oksigen oleh kincir air serta hubunganya terhadap parameter harian kualitas air tambak. Peneltian ini dilakukan dengan konsep desain kausal ex-post facto selama 30 hari awal masa budidaya intensif udang vannamei (Litopenaeus vannamei) atau selama periode blind feeding budidaya. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa nilai parameter kualitas air di lokasi tambak masih sesuai ambang batas. Sedangkan tingkat transfer oksigen oleh kincir air bersifat fluktuatif selama 30 hari masa pengamatan. Sementara dari hasil uji korelasi menunjukan bahwa hanya variabel suhu dan salinitas air memiliki keeratan hubungan yang kuat terhadap proses transfer oksigen oleh kincir. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa fluktuasi tingkat transfer oksigen oleh kincir air akan berpengaruh ataupun dipengaruhi oleh kondisi suhu dan salinitas air tambak.

Abstract

Kabupaten Batang merupakan salah satu Kabupaten bahari di Provinsi Jawa Tengah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui potensi produksi hasil perikanan laut di Kabupaten Batang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian deskriptif dengan analisa kuantitatif dan kualitataif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa hasil tangkapan ikan di perairan Kabupaten Batang sepanjang tahun sangat tinggi dan beragam jenis komoditasnya, diantaranya layang, bawal, kembung, selar, tembang, udang, tongkol, lemuru, tenggiri, dan jenis ikan lainnya. Diantara lainnya, ikan tenggiri dan ikan tongkol adalah ikan dengan nilai jual tertinggi yaitu Rp. 16.751.558.000,- untuk ikan tenggiri dengan hasil rata-rata tangkapan 16.440 Kw/tahun. Kemudian untuk tongkol memiliki nilai jual sebesar Rp. 11.508.984.000,- dengan hasil tangkapan rata-rata 12.939 Kw/tahun. Statistik tersebut belum termasuk jenis-jenis komoditas tangkapan lainnya seperti kerapu, kakap, layur, bawal, lemuru, dan lain sebagainya. Sehingga, dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa potensi produksi perikanan laut di Kabupaten Batang sangat potensial untuk dikembangkan dengan komoditas ikan yang beragam serta fluktuasi tangkapan yang dinamis dan stabil.

Abstract

Diatoms are a type of microalgae with a quite strong potential in the health sector as antioxidants, anticancer, and antivirals. But until now in Indonesia is still very rarely carried out research on the antioxidant potential of diatoms. The purpose of this study was to determine the antioxidant potential of Amphora sp. extracted with methanol. The method used in the extraction process is maceration, with a ratio of sample and methanol 1: 3 (300 g: 900 ml). The evaporation process compacted maserate resulting from maceration, then analyzed the total chlorophyll content, total flavonoids, and total phenols. Amphora sp. extraction results showed good potential with 7.08 ppm chlorophyll content, total flavonoids 6,299 ppm, and total phenol 7,085 ppm, and IC50 DPPH values of 3332.5 ppm. The IC50 value of the extract of Amphora sp. still classified as very weak antioxidant activity, but in general the extract of Amphora sp. has other bioactive potentials such as chlorophyll, flavonoids, and total phenol which can be used as material for further studies for the development of natural medicinal ingredients from Amphora sp.Key words: antioxidant, diatome, DPPH, macaration, methanol.

Abstract

Sebanyak 15% biaya produksi budidaya udang digunakan untuk konsumsi energi listrik oleh penggunaan kincir air, selain itu penggunaan kincir air juga merupakan faktor kunci yang menentukan dalam keberhasilan budidaya udang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui estimasi daya tenaga listrik yang dibutuhkan untuk produksi oksigen terlarut oleh penggunaan kincir air selama periode budidaya “Blind Feeding” udang vaname (L. vannamei). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode riset lapang dengan mengamati variabel parameter kualitas air (pH, suhu, Oksigen terlarut, salinitas), laju difusi oksigen pada kincir air, laju pertumbuhan udang, dan estimasi tingkat kebutuhan listrik untuk operasional kincir air yang dilakukan selama 30 hari awal masa budidaya intensif udang vaname. Hasil penelitian menunjukan kondisi parameter kualitas air selama masa budidaya cenderung stabil dan sesuai dengan kriteria baku mutu kualitas air untuk budidaya udang. Laju pertumbuhan udang harian rata-rata sebesar 1.21 gr/hari dan memiliki hubungan korelatif terhadap tingkat produksi oksigen oleh difusi kincir air dengan membentuk model persamaan Y = 4.769 + 0.344x. Sedangkan jumlah estimasi daya listrik yang dibutuhkan untuk mengoperasikan kincir air sepanjang periode blind feeding berkisar antara 0.97-1.07 kW yang berfluktuasi mengikuti efektifitas tingkat produksi oksigen di perairan tambak. Selama periode blind feeding budidaya udang intensif jumlah estimasi daya listrik yang dibutuhkan untuk mengoperasionalkan kincir air dengan kapasitas 2 HP dibutuhkan energi listrik antara 0.97-1.07 kW yang berfluktuasi secara osilatif sepanjang periode blind feeding budidaya udang vaname berlangsung. 15% of shrimp culture production cost is used for electricity consumption by paddle-wheels aerator operation, in addition, the use of paddle-wheel aerator is also a key determining factor in shrimp farming. The purpose of this study was to determine the estimated electric power required for dissolved oxygen production by the use of a paddle-wheel aerator during the "Blind Feeding" period of vaname shrimp (L. vannamei). The research method used with the field research method by observing the variable water quality parameters (pH, temperature, dissolved oxygen, salinity), oxygen diffusion rate in paddle-wheel aerators, shrimp growth rate, and estimation of the level of electricity demand for paddle-wheel aerator operations during the initial 30 days of intensive shrimp culture. The results showed that of water quality parameters condition during the cultivation period tended to be stable and in accordance with the water quality standard criteria for shrimp culture. The daily shrimp growth rate an average of 1.21 g/day and has a correlative relationship with the level of oxygen production by paddle-wheel aerators diffusion by forming the equation model Y = 4.769 + 0.344x. Meanwhile, the estimated amount of electric power needed to paddle-wheel aerators operate during the blind feeding period ranges from 0.97-1.07 kW which fluctuates following by oxygen production rate effectiveness in pond waters. During the blind feeding intensive shrimp farming periods, the estimated amount of electrical power require to operate of 2 HP paddle-wheel aerators capacity need electrical energy between 0.97-1.07 kW which fluctuates oscillatively throughout the blind feeding periods.

Abstract

The research objective was to determine the fish hatchery techniques of African catfish ( Clarias gariepinus ) at Fish Seed Kabat village Pakistaji District of Banyuwangi. Activities carried out starting from the preparation of the parent , the parent maintenance , spawning , hatching eggs , eggs treatment , seed treatment , and harvesting the seed . Parent Dumbo Catfish ( Clarias gariepinus ) were used in this study has a weight of 1.5 kg , with a ratio of 1 : 1 ( one tail of the male and female parent ) . Feed the fish seed of African catfish ( Clarias gariepinus ) is provided in the form of natural feed silk worms , and artificial feed in the form of boiled egg yolk mixed with milk powder . Abstract

FCR or feed conversion ratio is one of the strategic indicators on pond production which is very important for determining the costs incurred during the shrimp culture period. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between water physico-chemical parameters and the conversion rate of shrimp feed in intensive shrimp ponds (Litopenaeus vannamei). The research method used in this study is the ex-pose facto design during shrimp culture cycle with uniformity of treatment during the cultivation process, then the research collective data obtained periodically is analyzed by multiple linear regression. The results of this study indicate that all pond water quality variables based on quality standards are still in accordance with the standards intended for aquaculture. While based on regression analysis and t-test, the temperature variable is the only parameter that has a direct influence on the FCR efficiency by shrimp. As well as temperature, salinity, and alkalinity variables are parameters that have a close level of relationship to the FCR value in the ponds of 84.1%, 79.1%, and 69.9%. The conclusion of this study is that in intensive ponds the parameters of temperature, salinity, and alkalinity are water quality parameters that have a close relationship with the efficiency of FCR values ​​in ponds, with temperature parameters being the water quality variable which has a direct influence on the effectiveness of the feed conversion ratio by shrimp.

Abstract

Water quality parameters play an important role in intensive pond ecosystems. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between of water quality parameters in intensive shrimp farming of L. vannamei. This research was carried out for 95 days of intensive shrimp farming in PT. Menjangan Mas Nusantara Company, Banten, with the physical, chemical, and microbiological parameters of water as the main reference object of observation. The results showed that during the shrimp culture period the pond water quality parameter concentration was considered to be quite optimal with a stable fluctuation trend, except for the salinity and TOM parameters whose values ​​were above the water quality standard. Correlation test results state that between the physical chemical parameters have a strong and heterogeneous relationship, with the strongest parameters of pH, phosphate, nitrite, and TOM. As for the microbiological variables, the correlation of physical chemistry parameters of water is considered to be very weak, because from the correlation test results, only DO parameters showed the correlation with microbiological parameters. The conclusion of this study, that during intensive shrimp culture period, the physical and chemical parameters of water have a strong correlation of association between one another and the highest are pH, phosphate, nitrite, and TOM, but only dissolved oxygen parameters that show the relationship correlation with microbiological parameters.
