Abstract

It was known that Dayak people as well as other tribes had its own norms and laws,  known as Hadat  in every activity and situation. This was also performed by Ngaju Dayak society in discarding a hunch, namely manuhir. Manuhir is an alternative healing carried out by Ngaju Dayak people in ancient times to get rid of the hunches within. This paper attempted to describe Manuhir custom in the view of Ngaju Dayak people at Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan. In addition, it was also  to maintain manuhir as an alternative healing carried out by Ngaju Dayak people as an identity of Dayak Ngaju people, so that the meaning of this ritual did not face obscurity in the future. The implementation of  muhuhir action indicated the obidience of  Dayak Ngaju people in their customs and traditions, since this activity was a mandatory for those who have such hunches.

Abstract

Abstract: The practice of interfaith marriage has occurred in the Dayak Ngaju community for various reasons and considerations. Similar reasons include love, pregnancy before marriage, and thinking that he is the only match. Interfaith marriage is not easy to unite thoughts and wills together in an ideal marriage. This is because interfaith marriage couples need very high understanding, patience and loyalty in carrying out their married life as an effort to build high tolerance for differences that occur between them through mutual agreement and commitment. Unavoidable phenomenon. This can be seen in couples who marry different religions with a background of emotional experiences together. Through this agreement, a join commitment is neeeded to carry it out responsibly as joint commitment is needed to carry it out responsibly as a form of loving God and others (Matthew 22:37-40).

Abstract

J. Andrew Kirk’s writing deals with three parts. Parts I lays the groundwork for how the church should carry out its mission. This is closely related to apologetics. Classically, tradition refers to the accumulated wisdom of the Christian community throughout the ages, which is inherited and passed on from one generation to another. Part II contemporary issues in mission contains the use of the words “evangelism” or “Evangelism” prominently in Church thought in the last one hundred and fifty years. The main emphasis in declaring the good news is conveying an extremely important piece of information that states it is true and relevant. Humans are immersed in culture. Part III this mission in action has the assumption that going and being in the world is a form of mission, the Church must see herself as a people on the move. It is a community that “looks to” and “purposes.” To separate mission from life in the community is to abstain from the resources that make mission possible in the way of Christ. Political reality is very complicated. Thoughts will change and mission tools will change to suit the new situation. There might be alternative combinations to unify the various aspects of the mission.

Abstract

The mission of evangelism at the time of creation in the biblical text of Genesis 1 and the mission of evangelism at this time, especially at GKE Hosianna Palangka Raya explain the two contexts that have colorful cultures, so that they require contextual stages, so that the mission of evangelism can be achieved. The method used is a qualitative method with a descriptive narrative approach, and uses an interpretive paradigm. Sources of data from interviews and literature studies related to evangelistic missions, the time of creation, and the present. The results showed that the congregation’s space and time were limited in the use of the Ngaju Dayak language liturgy both in its implementation and service implementation, so that the implementation of this liturgy was increasingly marginlized and it was necessary to make more innovative evangelistic strategies in responding to the covid-19 pandemic and after the covid-19 pandemic. The positive impact is being able to reduce the potential for the spread of covid-19, so that God’s relationship between family members becomes harmonious.

Abstract

Alienation does not only contribute to male terror actors, it turns out that women as executors have played a major role in acts of terror, especially in the last five years; before and during Covid-19. For example, women as suicide bombers. This act of terror has taken away human rights. Humans who deserve the right to life, are free from fear and a sense of security. Acts of terror seemed to be something banal. Hannah Arendt's philosophy on the banality of crime and obedience has argued that the essence of terrorism is the feeling of being left out of modern life. In addition, this article has also reviewed that people at the grassroots level in Indonesia still consider the concept of obedience by putting aside critical thoughts as a virtue and also could be a threat to humanity universally. The author had used a qualitative research method with a descriptive-interpretative approach from literature review.

Abstract

Circular of the Governor of Central Kalimantan Number 443.2/20/BU, namely promoting social distancing by staying away from mass gatherings. Through these provisions, the government seeks to achieve a common goal: to prevent and minimize the spread of the covid-19 virus. This investigation that has been carried out seeks to understand the reality felt by residents of Palangka Raya. Researchers used qualitative research methods with a descriptive narrative approach. Data sources come from observations, interviews, and studies of references related to community responses, Governor's circular, and social actions. The results of the study explain that it has been proven that the essential thing in rejecting and reducing the spread of the Covid-19 virus is that there is a link between the level of education, knowledge, realization, and realistic actions, as well as the love that exists for these citizens in understanding and implementing government regulations, as well as regarding the benefits of implementing social distancing. This explains the sociological and theological phenomena through some of these linkages in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, a form of instrumental action.

Abstract

Abstract: This manuscript explains the significance of the nyaki dirit ritual, which requires humans to acknowledge the existence of an external Power. Through this nyaki dirit ritual, humans become aware of their Creator. In addition, this ritual signifies faith, prayer, and happiness for both the family that invites guests and the guests themselves. Through this ceremony, it is anticipated that the invited guests will support or bless the fetus so that it is safe, strong, and healthy for both the mother and the child. The method employed is qualitative with descriptive social research and flow analysis via an interactive analysis model, which includes data acquisition, condensation, data display, and interpretation drawing. The research results indicate that Christianity must convey its support and preservation of this ritual in light of the womb's theology. In the end, a vulnerable human will still surrender to God in order to form a new life in a woman's womb through prayer. The submission was accomplished collectively via the nyaki dirit ritual.
