Abstract

Reading skills require Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) in student which is very important to achieve success in this competency. With SRL, students will know what strategies they must do to achieve these competencies. The purpose of this article is to reveal: 1) Correlation between Self-Regulated Learning with student reading skills. This article used quantitative method. The study sample consisted of 168 students of the Arabic Language Study Program and Literature in Malang. The research data was obtained from questionnaire, and test. The quantitative data analysis method uses Pearson correlation analysis. The results showed that there was a correlation between Self-Regulated Learning and reading skills with a correlation coefficient category of 0.357 which was categorized as strong enough. The results of the Self-Regulated Learning variable indicate that implementing aspect is the dominant aspect that can be seen. Of the highest loading factor value. The results of this study provide input for Arabic language teachers to train their students to think critically in reading activities so that they are motivated to have independence in producing messages from reading.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tindak tutur direktif dalam pembelajaran daring di prodi Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia. Pendekatan penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif. Sumber data dalaam penelitian adalah tuturan guru dalam pembelajaran daring di program studi pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah tuturan guru yang mengandung tindak tutur direktif yang  berupa kata-kata yang dituturkan secara langsung oleh pengajar saat proses pembelajaran. Pada peneitian ini teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik sadap dan teknik catat analisis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat lima jenis tindak tutur direktif dalam pembelajaran yakni memesan (ordering), memerintah (commanding), memohon (requesting), menasihati (advising), dan merekomendasi (recommending).

Abstract

The politeness strategy is the communication strategy used by the teacher by submitting to the politeness principle in his directive act. This is the teacher's effort to manage the class and internalize the value of moderation by accommodating mediocrity values, meaning tolerance, balance value in teaching Arabic to reach interactive and communicative education useful to improve students' personality as an effect of online learning for a long time. The purpose of this research is to analize the teacher's politeness strategy by internalizing the value of moderation in Dar Al-Salam islamic boarding school. this research was designed with a qualitative approach, with the type of case study. A method for collecting data by making observations in teaching Arabic, and documenting the teacher's politeness strategy in her guiding actions, and interviewing the context of these teacher’s acts. The results of this research are, the politeness strategy used by the teacher in his speech acts in two ways: 1) the direct politeness strategy with four functions, a) the request, b) the command, c) the invitation, d) the prohibition, and 2) the indirect politeness strategy with two functions, a) the request and b)  the prohibition. The results of this research contribute to the teacher's strategy in classroom management by using several politeness strategies in speech act’s so that learning is more interactive and communicative due to mutual respect and tolerance between teacher and students. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct the following research on understanding the values of moderation through the curriculum in teaching Arabic.

Abstract

The teacher's speech dominates in interactive activities with students in learning Arabic. To realize communicative and interactive learning, the teacher obeys the maxim of quantity proposed by Grice, which is to speak as briefly and clearly as possible so that the information conveyed can be understood easily. This article examines how to comply with Grice's maxim of quantity in the teacher's speech in Arabic class interaction. This research uses a qualitative case study approach in which data is collected through the documentation method and then analyzed using an interactive method. The results of this study are, the observance of the maxim of quantity in the teacher's speech is used in several categories; namely, 1) Requestives "begging", 2) Requestives "Praying"; 3) Requestives Ask; 4) Questions "ask"; 5) Questions "probing", and 6) Prohibitives "Prohibiting". Compliance with the maxim of quantity in Arabic classroom interactions between teachers and students positively impacts student activity and makes learning more conducive.Keywords: the maxim of quantity, Speech act, classroom interaction.

Abstract

In writing skill learning at university, students can organize information, thoughts, and feelings in the Arabic language according to grammar by understanding concepts, writing processes, and developing paragraphs for essays. For this, lecturers can challenge their students to be confident that they can do assigned tasks well, develop new writings and innovations to them the writing, and produce achievements, and the teacher expected learning strategies. The study aims to describe the learning strategies used self-efficacy-based in writing skill learning. The study used direct observation in the field and the researcher as a moderate participant with a descriptive qualitative approach to 65 students of the fifth level of the Arabic Language Education Department, the state College of Quranic Science Amuntai Indonesia. The results are there were six strategies according to self-efficacy-based in writing skill learning, namely: Direct interaction meeting, simulation, and modeling, independent study, framework and feedback, relaxation, then suggestopedia.

Abstract

Directive Acts are illocution acts a teacher uses to ask the student to do a specific action. This speech act affects the input and output of the language studied. This study aimed to analyze the illocutionary acts used by teachers in learning Arabic at the Al Munawaroh Islamic boarding school, Jombang. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study. The techniques for collecting data are observation with recording and interviews and interactive analysis techniques to analyze data. The results of this study show illocutionary speech acts used in learning Arabic with three functions; 1) The function of commanding by using illocution acts in the form of imperative and declarative; 2) Advise function by using speech acts in the form of imperative mood and fill form of amr; 3) The function of prohibiting by using speech acts in the form of declarative and imperatives. The use of this illocutionary act as a teacher's media provides convenience in the learning process and creates a conducive, communicative, and interactive learning environment.
