Abstract

Film Dilan 1990 dengan segmentasi remaja ini menimbulkan euforia di kalangan remaja Indonesia. Tema romantisme film Dilan 1990 yang mengangkat tentang kehidupan romantis remaja yang hidup di tahun 1990 mendapat respons yang beranekaragam dari penonton remaja di Indonesia. Di antaranya banyak yang menggunakan potongan adegan dalam film tersebut untuk dijadikan meme di media sosial dan bahkan menggunakan potongan dialog tokoh di dalamnya untuk berkomunikasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis resepsi audiens remaja yang hidup di era milenial sekarang ini terhadap romantisme remaja pada tahun 1990 yang diusung pada film Dilan 1990. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode analisis resepsi yang dilakukan kepada lima orang informan remaja. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat beberapa pemaknaan audiens remaja terhadap romantisisme dalam film Dilan 1990.Hal-hal yang dimaknai sebagai romantisisme yang ada dalam film Dilan 1990 antara lain yaitu ‘Bandung Sebagai Kota Romantis’, ‘Tangisan Tokoh Sebagai Wujud Kemurungan’, ‘Rindu itu Berat’, ‘Rasa Suka yang Meluap’, dan ‘Romantisme Unik dalam Kata-kata Tokoh’. Posisi pembacaan audiens remaja yang dominan adalah dominant-hegemonic position dan negotiated position. Pemaknaan romantisme oleh audiens remaja berdasar kedua posisi tersebut dipengaruhi faktor sosiologis dari setiap informan yang memiliki latar belakang era yang cukup berbeda dengan tema yang diangkat pada film Dilan 1990.

Abstract

The short film titled Tilik was produced by Ravacana Films in collaboration with the Yogyakarta Special Region Cultural Service in 2018 and this film was directed by Wahyu Agung Prasetyo. Film Tilik presents the social reality of women through the story of village women who are the main characters. The ladies' gossipy chatter was marked along the way. From a different perspective, this film tries to break the stereotype that rural women cannot have good careers but only become housewives. The purpose of this research is to find out how women are represented in the short film Tilik. This research uses Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis by looking for denotative and connotative meanings contained in the film that represent women in this film. Women are depicted as being very complex in this Tilik film, ranging from women who like to talk about other people's badness, women have positions to the negative status of unmarried or single women. The results of this study indicate that there are signs that represent women, including that women are fond of gossiping or gossiping which is depicted by the figure of Bu Tejo, the negative status of single women displayed by the figure of Dian who is always talked about by mothers, women can have positions or the position displayed by the figure of the village head, the culture of seeing the groups of mothers, and the image of women in the media.

Abstract

The animated children show Upin & Ipin is a popular show in Indonesia that contains many messages that can be a learned by Indonesian children. One of the issues most often carried in the Upin and Ipin show is religiosity, which is raised through worship activities, celebrations of religious holidays, and running daily life in accordance with the teachings of Islam. This study sees the concept of Glock and Stark's religious religion which is divided into five dimensions. The five dimensions are ritual dimension, intellectual dimension, ideology dimension, experimental dimension, and consequence dimension. The method used is quantitative content analysis. The results showed that the ritual dimensions that appeared were the biggest, then the intellectual dimensions and consequence dimensions were also emerged in a smaller percentage. In the animation "Upin & Ipin" the ritual dimensions performed by the characters in daily life emerge in the form of prayer, fasting, adhan, ablution, praying, celebrating the holiday, and reciting. The intellectual dimension emerged with a scene of the residents of Kampung Durian Runtuh who attended religious study activities. While the consequence dimensions are described when the characters do good deeds to fellow human beings.

Abstract

This study analyzes the audience’s meaning of the bullying’s message contained in the Korean drama series entitled True Beauty. Audience reception studies see that the audience is a communication element that actively receives and interprets messages transmitted by the media, including the drama series True Beauty. True Beauty is one of the best and popular Korean dramas adapted from a Korean webtoon series entitled The Secret Of Angel. This drama series explores the phenomenon of bullying that occurs in the school environment based on the factor of physical beauty. The purpose of this research is to find out how Indonesian teenage audiences perceive bullying scenes in the 2020 Korean drama True Beauty. The data in this study were obtained through an in-depth interview process with 6 Indonesian teenage audiences, namely 5 female teenagers and 1 male teenager. The research method used is the reception analysis method on Stuart Hall's encoding-decoding theory with a descriptive qualitative approach. In selecting informants in this study using purposive sampling technique which includes people who will be selected based on predetermined characteristics. The results of this study are that there are 5 informants in the dominant hegemony position, 4 people are in the negotiation position and 1 person is in the opposition position.

Abstract

Talkcation is educational talkshow program in collaboration with Reksa Birama Televisi (RBTV) and Amikom Yogyakarta Communication Studies program in Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) internship program. Talkcation comes with a new concept to provide a more interesting and educational. The purpose of this study is to explain the management strategy for the production of Talkcation shows during the 2022 MBKM internship period conducted by the Rumah Kreatif Media team. In this study, researchers used qualitative research types with case qualitative descriptive that focused on the 2022 MBKM period. The main data source comes from interviews with the Rumah Kreatif Media team who were observed during the research process in the field. This study can provide an overview and analysis related to the process of management from Rumah Kreatif Media to create a program television talkshow at RBTV Jogja. This was done in order to improve production from the results of Talkcation better, provide variations, and improvisation of programs for RBTV.

Abstract

The fanaticism of supporters of the pride of the football team in each region often causes trouble outside the “field”. This kind of fanaticism also occurs between two supporters of the football team in Yogyakarta, namely the Brigata Curva Sud (BCS) community and Brayat Jogja Utama Sejati (Brajamusti). Although they have long experienced "friction", the two communities that live in one area of Yogyakarta establish a communication that is quite different when it is outside the scope of the match. Not a few of them turned out to have close and even friendly relationships despite defending different football teams. This article examines the interpersonal communication that exists between members of the two BCS and Brajamusti communities in the outside of the match. Specifically the findings in the field were analyzed by the face-negotiation theory. The study was carried out using explanatory case study methods. The results of this study indicate that the two supporter communities namely BCS and Brajamusti have the same tendency in dealing with conflicts that occur in their interpersonal communication, namely by avoiding strategies, and including the type of self-maintenance maintenance with face restoration strategies.
