Abstract

ABSTRAKMenghindari makanan yang mengandung gluten maupun casein merupakan salah satu upaya mengurangi perilaku autis karena kedua zat tersebut dapat mempengaruhi sistem saraf pusat sehingga menimbulkan gangguan perilaku. Kepatuhan orang tua dalam menerapkan diet harus konsisten agar perilaku anak dengan autis mengalami perbaikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan kepatuhan orang tua tentang diet gluten free dan casein free dengan perilaku anak autis. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasional analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 31 orang dan menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan uji  Spearman’s Correlation. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan didapatkan koefisien korelasi sebesar -0,453 dan signifikansi hasil penelitian 0,010 sehingga dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa hubungan antara kepatuhan orang tua tentang diet gluten free dan casein free dengan perilaku anak autis di Pusat Layanan Autis Banjarmasin memiliki korelasi sedang, signifikan dan negatif (tidak searah). Diharapkan orang tua mencari informasi tentang diet gluten free dan casein free melalui media massa, mengikuti seminar, talkshow, atau pelatihan serta menerapkan diet gluten free dan casein free pada anak dengan autis.Kata-kata kunci: gluten, casein, perilaku autis.ABSTRACTAvoiding food containing gluten and casein is one of the efforts to reduce autistic behaviors because the two substances can effect the central nerve system which leads to behavioral abnormality. The parents’ compliance with the diet should be consistent to improve the behaviors of autistic children. The purpose of the study was to find out the relationship between the parents’ compliance with gluten free and casein free diet and the behaviors of austistic children. This study was an observational analytical research which employed cross sectional approach with a total respondents of 31 people and utilized purposive sampling method. This study was used Sprearman’s Correlation test. The result of the study indicated that the correlation coefficient was 0,453 and the significance of research results was 0,010 it could be inferred that the relationship between the parents’ compliance with gluten free and casein free diet and the behaviors of autistic children had medium, significant and negative correlation (irrelevant). It was suggested that the parents’ should look for the information about gluten free and casein free diet through mass media, seminars, talkshows, or trainings and apply gluten free and casein free diet to autistic children.Keywords: gluten, casein, autistic behaviors.
