Abstract

Islamic politics always played a key role in the formation of Indonesian national identity, even though Islam was finally compromised in the process of establishing the identity. Islam however was able to give strong influence within Indonesian history. This in turn gives Islam a space to deeply take part in the development of Indonesian politics until now. In another side, the role of political parties, particularly Islamic ones, will always shape the discourse of Islamic party in Indonesia, which in turn will be an indicator for the ongoing involvement of Islamic politics in Indonesia.

Abstract

The reform era has changed the paradigm of the state in viewing villages, especially villages based on customs. This can be seen in looking at the relationship between the village government and custom, as well as the relationship between the village government and the community, especially in customary laws and the government in this case the state. Then there will be a dialogue, compromise or negotiation is built and often even causes resistance by one part. This situation will forms a new social construct in the form of space struggles, debates and spaces to search for individual identities. Finally, the Ammatoa indigenous community as a local community (indigenous peoples) seems to be in a subordinated position by the state. Therefore, as the only way, they always look for spaces for negotiation or even compromise in dealing with the state in order to maintain an existence.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang perspektif Yudi Latif terkait cendekiawan dan kekuasaan. Untuk mengetahui konstruksi pemikiran Yudi Latif mengenai cendekiawan dan kekuasaan serta mengetahui pandangannya tentang fenomena hubungan cendekiawan dan kekuasaan. Jenis penelitian ini studi tokoh dengan menggunakan metode pengumpulan data library research. Menurut Yudi Latif bahwa cendekiawan adalah sesuatu yang abstrak dapat dikatakan sebagai intelektual ataupun intelegensia. Sedangkan kekuasaan adalah suatu daya atau kekuatan yang diperlukan oleh manusia dan tidak ada kehidupan tanpa kekuasaan. Bentuk fenomenanya dalam cendekiawan dan kekuasaan mengalami kemunduran dimana kaum intelektual dijadikan sebagai alat oleh para pemilik modal.
