Abstract

Kata kunci : profil darah, kucing, distant flap ABSTRACTChanges in blood profile values are one indication of the physiological disturbances of the body. This study aims to determine the changes in blood profile of local cats (Felis catus) during the healing of distant flaps. This study used three male local cats. All cats were made 2 × 2 cm wound on the front extremities, they then were treated with distant flap technique originating from the thorax area. Blood collection was carried out on day 0 before surgery and days 3, 6, 9, and 12 after distant flap surgery. The blood tests included erythrocytes, leukocytes, hemoglobin, hematocrit, platelets, and differential leukocytes (granulocytes, monocytes and lymphocytes). The observations showed that the value of a cat's blood profile experienced fluctuations throughout the observation day. The increase and decrease in blood profile value is the body's response to the healing of distant flaps. Distant flap can be used for wound closure of the extremity area in cats. Keywords : blood profile, cat, distant flap
