Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh ekstrak bawang putih (Allium sativum) terhadap daya tetas telur ikan tengadak dan konsentrasi optimum ekstrak. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Balai Benih Ikan Lukup Badak pada bulan Agustus 2019. Data dianalisa dengan menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 7 perlakuan dan 3 kali ulangan. Dengan konsentrasi yaitu: Kontrol, 500 ppm, 1000 ppm, 1500 ppm, 2000, ppm, 2500 ppm, dan Etanol. Sampel yang digunakan adalah telur ikan tengadak yang telah terbuahi dan terinfeksi dengan jamur Saprolegnia sp, dan direndam dengan ekstrak. Parameter yang dikur pada penelitian ini yaitu daya tetas (HR%), prevalensi (%), kelangsungan hidup (SR%), identifikasi jamur, dan kualitas air. Hasil uji ANOVA menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak bawang putih (Allium sativum) berpengaruh nyata (P0,05) terhadap daya tetas, prevalensi, dan kelangsungan hidup larva. Perlakuan yang terbaik terdapat pada konsentrasi 500 ppm.Kata Kunci: bawang putih (Allium sativum), daya tetas, ikan Tengadak. ABSTRACTThe objective of this study was to determine the effect of garlic extract (Allium sativum) on the hatching rate of Barbonyimus sp. eggs and to find out the optimum concentration of the extract. The research was conducted at Balai Benih Ikan Lukup Badak in August 2019. The data was analyzed using a Completely Randomized Design method with seven treatments and three replications. The concentration of garlic were; 0, 500, 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500 ppm extract and ethanol. Before treatment, the eggs were infected using the identified fungus, found as Saprolegnia sp. The infected eggs were then soaked in the extract for 40 minutes.  The measured parameters were fungus identification, hatching rate, the prevalence of fungus, survival rate of larvae and water quality. The result of ANOVA showed that the garlic extract gave a significant effect on the hatching rate of eggs, prevalence, and survival rate of larvae. It was obtained that the optimum concentration of the extract was 500 ppm.Keywords: Extract, Allium sativum, Barbonyimus sp., hatching rate
