Abstract

ABSTRAK   Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui bagaimana karakteristik masyarakat dalam hal ini petani di Daerah Aliran Sungai Keduang dan peran sertanya dalam pengelolaan daerah aliran sungai. Karakteristik petani meliputi tingkat pendidikan, tingkat pendapatan dan luas lahan garapan. Populasi penelitian ini adalah masyarakat yang berada di wilayah Sub DAS Keduang atau melewati jalur sungai DAS dan menjadi anggota Kelompok Konservasi Tanah dan Air (KKTA) di wilayah Desa Gemawang Kecamatan Ngadirojo, Desa Sambirejo Kecamatan Jatisrono, Desa Pingkuk Kecamatan Jatiroto, Desa Sukoboyo Kecamatan Slogohimo dan Desa Sembukan Kecamatan Sidoharjo. Sedangkan sampel data diambil dari 5 kecamatan tersebut secara random. Data yang terkumpul selanjutnya dianalisis secara kualitatif. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa karakteristik petani di Daerah Aliran Sungai keduang secara umum memiliki tingkat pendidikan dan pendapatan yang rendah. Sedangkan lahan garapan mayoritas digunakan sebagai lahan persawahan. Peran serta masyarakat ditingkatkan dengan pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui penyuluhan dan pelatihan.   Kata Kunci: peran serta masyarakat, pengelolaan daerah aliran sungai Keduang

Abstract

ABSTRACT ? The  purpose of this research is to ascertain the influence of Problem Based Instruction with audio visualmediatoward biology learning achievement of 10th grade  students at SMA Negeri 1 Ngemplak in academic year 2011/2012. The research was quasi experiment research using quantitative approach. The  research was designed using posttest only control design. Experimental group applied  Problem Based Instruction with audio visualmedia. Control group applied discussion,  classical course and question-answer method. The populations of this research were all of  10th degree students at SMA Negeri 1 Ngemplak in academic year 2011/2012.  The samples  of this research were the students of 10th 3as experiment group and 10th 6as control group.  The sample of this research was established by cluster random sampling. The data was  collected using questionnaire, multiple choice test,essay test, observation form, and  document. The hypotheses analyzed by t-test. The research concluded that application of Problem Based Instruction with audio  visualmediahad significant effect toward biology learning achievement in cognitive,  affective, and psychomotor of 10th grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Ngemplak in academic  year 2011/2012. Abstract

ABSTRACT ? The aim of the research was to know the influence of Group Investigation type (GI) of cooperative learning model toward science process skill and biology learning achievement of X degree students at SMA Negeri 4 Surakarta in the academic year of 2011/2012. The methodology of the research was quasi-experimental with quantitative approach. The research designs were post-test only control group by using experimental class (the implementation of Group Investigation (GI) of cooperative learning model) and control class (conventional learning). The population of this research is all of X degree students at SMA Negeri 4 Surakarta in 2011/2012 academic year. The  sample was taken by using cluster random sampling technique, with the result that XB  class as experimental group and XA class as control group. The technique of collecting data used test, observation paper and the school document. The data was analyzed by using t-test. This research concluded that Group Investigation type (GI) of cooperative learning model was significantly effective toward science process skill and biology learning achievement of X degree students at SMA Negeri 4 Surakarta in the academic year of 2011/2012. Abstract

ABSTRACT - This research aims to find out the effect of the implementation  Active Knowledge Sharing learning strategy with module of the research on review of sub scientific methodology learning achievement of the class X at SMA Negeri 2 Sukoharjo. This study is a quasi-experimental studies which use Posstest Only Control Group Design. The independent variable in this research is the application of cooperative learning, the  Active Knowledge Sharing where as the dependent variable is students? achievement in learning biology at 3 levels?. Namely, cognitive, affective and psychomotor. The population of the study is the entire of class X at SMA Negeri 2 Sukoharjo in academic year 2011/2012. The samples is taken upon control group and treatment group. The sample is taken by using Cluster Random Sampling method. The data are collected by using test (for cognitive achievement) where as for the affective and psychomotor aspects the data are taken by using observation methods. The obtained data that is analyzed by using t-test.The result shows the implementation of Active Knowledge Sharinglearning strategy with module of the research on review of sub scientific methodology has taken good effect towards students? achievement in affective and psychomotor aspects, but has not on the cognitive achievement students in class X of Surakarta SMA Negeri 2 Sukoharjo. Abstract

ABSTRACT ? This research aims to find out: (1) the effect of guided inquiry learning strategy use on the learning outcomes in the cognitive domains  of VIII graders of SMP Negeri (Public Junior High School) 1 Jaten; (2) the effect of the learning style on the learning outcomes in the cognitive domains  of  VIII  graders of  SMP  Negeri 1 Jaten;  and (3) the interaction between the learning strategy and  learning style on the learning outcomes in the cognitive domains of VIII graders of SMP Negeri 1 Jaten. This study was a quasi-experiment research using Randomized Control Only Design. The learning strategy and learning style served as independent variable and learning outcomes in the cognitive domains served as dependent variable. The population of research was the even semester of VIII graders of SMP Negeri 1 Jaten in the school year of 2011/2012. The sample of research was the VIII E graders as control group and VIII B graders as the experiment group. The sampling technique used was ?Cluster Random Sampling?. Techniques of collecting data used for collecting data on learning outcomes in the cognitive domains were test. The measurement of biology learning style was done using questionnaire. Technique of analyzing data used was a two-way variance analysis (ANAVA) and Bunfferoni follow-up test. The conclution of the research are: 1) Guided Inquiry learning strategy affected significantly the learning outcomes in the cognitive domains of  the VIII graders of SMP Negeri 1 Jaten; 2) Learning style did not affect the learning outcomes in the cognitive domains of the VIII graders of SMP Negeri 1 Jaten; and 3) there was no interaction between learning strategy and learning style on the learning outcomes in the cognitive domains of the VIII graders of SMP Negeri 1 Jaten. Abstract

The aim of this research was to identify some characters of mangrove gastropod's shell, which varied among species and modified from its basic structure. Some characters are often lost or added make some difficulties for the student to identify the characters. Those characters are also confusing and lead to miss identification respectively. From that case, studying the vaiation of the shell characters among species and its modification from the original structure of gastropod's shell is needed. A model and description of the shell and its characters is useful guide for identification and also as an alternative teaching material for studying the gastropod. Mangrove gastropod's specimens from previous research (Karyanto et all, 2003) are the mateials studied on; represent the numerous variation and modification of gastropod's shell. The basic structures are identified according to Robert et al (1952), Pechenik (1991) and Beesley et al (1998). Variation and modification whether reduction or addition from its original were then mentioned and schemed. The shells of the 9 families of gastropod show some specific features, which respective to the shell structure of family, thus the identification to the family can be carried out by using the shell characters of family. Some characters that led to the genera and species are more various and sophisticate. Axial ridges, transversal ridges, eroded apex, elongated siphonal canal, spine, thickened aperture, The presence of the-apterture teeth, thickening operculwm witk calcareous material and coloration are some variant that obtained. Those characters reflect modification and play some important notes while studying the shell.Key words: Mangrove gastropods, shell variation, alternative learning resources

Abstract

ABSTRACT- The purpose of this research is to know the level of human capital in    Sub-Watershed Keduang related to conservation efforts in the watershed. Based on the questionnaires on human capital in the watershed Keduang, levels of achievement of   particular capital at Keduang can be measured. The survey shows that 34.48% farmers of sub Watershed Keduang is considered as low educated. The level of human capital is 40.70 with a standard deviation of 6:51. If the total score of the ideal criteria is 55 the   actual level of human capital is considered as moderate. Such degree of human capital is considered as sufficiently support efforts in watershed management at Keduang. Key Words : Human capital, watershed conservation

Abstract

The research aims to apply the guided inquiry model to improve questioning activity in the learning material “Animalia” in class X Science 6 of SMA Negeri 1 Karanganyar in 2015/2016 academic year. The research was a classroom action research which was done in three cycles covering planning, action, observation, and reflection stage. The learning model applied was guided inquiry model including six stages, they are: observe, formulate inquiry question, develop hypothesis, design and conduct investigation, analyze data, and arguing. Subject of the research was 40 students of X Science 6 of SMA Negeri 1 Karanganyar in 2015/2016 academic year. The data of the research was gained by doing observation, interview, and documentation. The writer analyzed the data using descriptive qualitative analyzing technique. The result shows that applying guided inquiry model improve the score of questioning activity in the learning material “Animalia” of X Science 6 students of SMA Negeri 1 Karanganyar in 2015/2016 academic year. The improvement of students’ questioning activity is showed from the improving score of students’ questioning activity score to teacher, to students, and in wrtitten from pre cycle stage until cycle 3. The score of questioning activity from students to teacher improves from 7,5% or 3 students in pre cycle to 40% or 16 students in cycle 1, 50% or 20 students in cycle 2 and 55% or 22 student in cycle 3. The score of questioning activity from students to student improves from 0% or 0 students in pre cycle to 80% or 32 students in cycle 1, 95% or 38 students in cycle 2 and cycle 3.The score of questioning activity from students in written improves from 0% or 0 students in pre cycle to 37,5% or 15 students in cycle 1, 45% or 18 students in cycle 2 and 52,5% or 21 student in cycle 3. Data improvement of each aspect of students’ questioning activity from pre cycle until cycle 3 has reached the research target (≥50%). Based on the result, it can be concluded that guided inquiry model improves questioning activity in learning material “Animalia” of class X Science 6 of SMA Negeri 1 Karanganyar in 2015/2016 academic year. Keywords: questioning activity, guided inquiry

Abstract

The aim of this research is to know the influence of brain based learning (BBL) model toward biology learning achievement of X degree students at SMA Negeri Colomadu in academic year 2012/2013.This research was a quasi experiment research using posttest only non equivalent group design. This research applied BBL model in experimental group and deduktif approach with discussion, classical course and question-answer method in control group. The population of this research was all of X degree students at SMA Negeri Colomadu in 2011/2012 academic year. Sampling techniques used cluster sampling, that has chosen X4 as experiment group and X5 as control group. Data was collected using  multiple choice test, observation sheet, and document. The data were analyzed by t-test. This research concluded that the application of BBL model has taken good effect toward student’s achievement cognitive, psychomotor, and  affective domain in learning biology of SMA Negeri Colomadu. Key Words: Brain Based Learning Model, Biology Learning Achievement
