Abstract

Background: Low back pain is one of the inconveniences in pregnant women which normally will increase along with the increasing of gestational age because this pain is caused by the shift of the center of gravity in a woman and her posture. The good body mechanic is needed to establish the safe and comfortable daily activities during pregnancy and to prevent and reduce back pain. Aims: This study aimed to analyze the correct body mechanic principle with low back pain complaints in the third trimester pregnant women at the work region of Kambangan health center Sub-district Lebaksiu Tegal Regency. Method: This study used cross-sectional design. The population used in this research is pregnant women of the third trimester in the working area of Kambangan health center,Lebaksiu Sub District Tegal, population in this study as much 36 third trimester pregnant women and 24 respondents as sample. Result: There were 58.3% of the respondents who had good body mechanic, while 45.8% of the respondents experienced back pain. The bivariate analysis indicated that there was a correlation between body mechanic and back pain in the third trimester pregnant women with the p-value of 0.011. Conclusion: The results of this study indicate that the correct body mechanic principle can prevent low back pain in the third trimester pregnant women at Kambangan Health Center Lebaksiu Sub-district Tegal Regency and to reduce low back pain in pregnant women, midwives need to provide health education about the correct body mechanic during pregnancy to prevent low back pain.

Abstract

Stunting is one of the effects of lack of nutrients that lasts a long time. Stunting can occur due to deficiency of macronutrients and macronutrients that play a role in the growth, such as energy, protein, vitamin A and zinc (Zn). The aim of this study was determine the relationship between the intake of energy, protein, vitamin A and zinc (Zn) and the incidences of stunting in children of school age in Candirejo Village This research was The study correlation with cross sectional approach. The population in this study were all first year students in Candirejo village. It obtained 56 children with total sampling method. Method of data taking used microtoise, digital scale and FFQ. Bivariate analysis used Pearson product moment and alternative test of Spearman rho (α=0,05) The average energy intake in children was 86.5% RDA. The average protein intake in children was 106.3% RDA. The average intake of vitamin A in children was 111.9% RDA. The average intake of zinc in children was 64.4% RDA. From 56 childs 37,5% was stunting and 62,5% no stunting. There was no relationship between the intake of energy, protein and vitamin A with the incidences of stunting (p = 0.129, p = 0.139, p = 0.200), and there was a correlation between zinc intake with the incidences of stunting (p = 0.014) There was no relationship between the intake of energy, protein and vitamin A with the incidences of stunting in children of school-age in Candirejo village. There was a relationship between zinc intake with the incidences of stunting in school-age children in the Candirejo village.

Abstract

Stunting is one of the consequences that arises from a state of malnutrition that lasts a long time. One of the lack of nutrients is proteins. The deficit of intake of animal and vegetable protein will impact on growth. The aim of this study was known the relationship between the intake of animal and vegetable protein and stunting in children aged 3-5 years old in Penawangan Village, Pringapus Subdistrict, Semarang regency. This research was Correlational study with cross-sectional approach. The population in this study was all mothers and children aged 3-5 years old in Penawangan village, Pringapus subdistrict, Semarang regency. It obtained the samples of 64 children with proportional random sampling method. Data collecting used microtoise, bath room scales, and semi-quantitative FFQ. Bivariate analysis used spearman rho (α= 0,05). Most animal protein intake was in the category of severe deficit which was 39.1%, the category of moderate deficit which was 1.6%, the category of mild deficit which was 3.1%, the category of normal which was 37.5%, the category of over which was 18.8%. The intake of vegetable protein was mostly in the category of severe deficit which was 51.6%, the category of moderate deficit which was 32.8%, the category of mild deficit which was 14.1%, the category of normal which was 1.6%. The incidences of stunting were in 33 children (51.6%) and unstunting were in 31 children (48.4%). There was a relationship between the intake of animal protein with the incidences of stunting (p = 0.0001, r = 0.798). There was a relationship between the intake of vegetable protein with the incidences of stunting (p = 0.0001, r = 0.560). There was a relationship between the intake of animal and vegetable protein with stunting in children aged 3-5 years old in Penawangan village, Pringapus subdistrict, Semarang regency.

Abstract

Background : Toddlers that born with low birth weight (LBW) tend to have slower growth and development tend than the normal ones. Low quality of complementary food and inappropriate provision impacts in insufficient nutrition, one of them is stunting. The objective of this study is to analyze the correlation between newborn weight and complementary food with stunting on toddlers aged 6-24 months old in Langensari village Ungaran sub-district Semarang regency Method: This study was a correlative descriptive study with cross sectional approach. The sample consistod of 76 respondents in Langensari village taken by purposive sampling. Data were collected using questionnaire, baby scale, digital scale, length board, 24 hour form recall. Data were analysed using chi square (α = 0,05). Result : There is a correlation between newborn weight and complementary food with the stunting (α = 0,001 and α = 0,013). Conclusion :Threre is correlation between newborn weight and complementary food with the stunting on toddlers aged 6-24 months in Langensari village Ungaran sub-district Semarang regency Abstrak : Latar Belakang: Anak yang lahir dengan berat badan lahir rendah (BBLR) memiliki pertumbuhan dan perkembangan cenderung lebih lambat dibandingkan anak yang lahir dengan berat badan normal. Rendahnya mutu MP ASI dan tidak sesuainya frekuensi yang diberikan sehingga beberapa zat gizi tidak dapat mencukupi kebutuhannya, sehingga berdampak terhadap status gizi salah satunya stunting. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah Mengetahui hubungan berat badan lahir dan pemberian MP ASI dengan kejadian stunting pada anak usia 6–24 bulan di Kelurahan Langensari Kecamatan Ungaran Kabupaten Semarang. Metode: penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif korelasi, dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel terdiri dari 76 anak di Kelurahan Langensari yang diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan Kuesioner, baby scale, timbangan digital, length board dan form recall 24 jam. Analisis data menggunakan chi square (α = 0,05). Hasil: Ada hubungan antara berat badan lahir dan pemberian MP ASI dengan kejadian stunting (α = 0,001 dan α = 0,013). Simpulan: Ada hubungan antara berat badan lahir dan pemberian MP ASI dengan kejadian stunting pada anak usia 6-24 bulan di Kelurahan Langensari Kecamatan Ungaran Kabupaten Semarang.

Abstract

Background: Milkshake is favorite drink of school children.Purplesweet potatoes is local food that can be processed to be milkshake.It isvery easy to make and with interesting packages it can be a healthy and safe snacks, the nutrient content is very good for the children growth. This studyaims to know the market acceptance nutrition content purplesweet potatoes milkshake. Method: There search was pre experimental design.The population was all student of class II , III and IV Munding Public Elementary School with the total sample of 68 people taken with total sampling. Market acceptance was obtained with question naire. Nutrition content was obtained using proximalt and titrationtests. Data analysis used the SPSS program. Analysis bivariate used one way annova test (α = 0.05). Result :The results of the study find the significant value is0,0001means <0.05 means there is differences in market acceptance among the three samples formula.The energy in 200 ml of purple sweet potato milkshakeis173,082 kcal with protein content is 6.34 grams, fat is 0.458 grams, carbohydrateis35.9 grams, as well calcium is158.36 mg . Conclusion: The formula (80%: 20%) is most accepted by schoolchildren with substance nutrition energy 173,082 kcal Abstrak : Latar Belakang: Milkshake merupakan minuman yang disukai oleh anak sekolah saat ini. Ubi jalar ungu merupakan pangan lokal yang bisa dijadikan bahan untuk pembuatan milkshake. Milkshake Ubi Jalar Ungu mudah dibuat dengan tampilan produk menarik yang nantinya dapat dijadikan sebagai salah satu jajanan sehat dan aman untuk dikonsumsi bermanfaat untuk membantu menunjang proses pertumbuhan pada anak sekolah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui daya terima dan menganalisis zat gizi pada Milkshake Ubi Jalar Ungu. Metode: Rancangan penelitian ini adalah Pre Experimental Design. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas II, III dan IV SD Negeri Munding dengan jumlah sampel 68 orang dengan total sampling. Daya terima diperoleh dengan kuesioner. Nilai Gizi diperoleh melalui uji proksimalt dan titrasi. Analisis data menggunakan program SPSS. Analisis bivariat menggunakan uji oneway annova (α = 0.05). Hasil: Nilai signifikan 0,0001 berati < 0,05 artinya terdapat perbedaan daya terima yang antara ketiga sampel formula. Kandungan energi pada 200 ml Milkshake ubi jalar ungu sebanyak 173,082 kkal dengan kandungan protein sebanyak 6,34 gram, lemak 0,458 gram, karbohidrat 35,9 gram (serta kalsium 158,36 mg. Simpulan: Formula (80 % : 20 %) paling diterima oleh anak sekolah dengan zat gizi energi 173,082 kkal.

Abstract

Background: Obesity in adolescents can risk of hypertension. Percentage of body fat can describe the composition of the body. Waist circumference can be the option parameter to predict metabolicsyndrome. The objective of study is to find out the correlation between percentage of body fat and waist circumference with hypertension on students at Hidayah vocational school Semarang. Method: Research design was cross sectional. The population in this research was all eleventh and twelfth students in Hidayah vocational school Semarang with the samples of 97 people taken with purposive random sampling. Percentage of body fat was measured using BIA hand to foot,waist circumference was measured with metlineand blood pressure according to age, sexand height body. The data analysis used SPSS program. Bivariate analysis used chi-squaretest (α=0,05). Results: There is no correlation between percentage of body fat and hypertension on students at Hidayah vocational school Semarang (p=0,505) and there is no correlation between waist circumference and hypertension on students at Hidayah vocational school Semarang (p=0,108). Conclusion: There is no correlation between percentage of body fat and waist circumference and hypertension on students at Hidayah vocational school Semarang Abstrak : Latar Belakang: Obesitas pada remaja dapat menjadi risiko terjadinya hipertensi. Persen lemak tubuh dapat mencerminkan komposisi tubuh seseorang.Lingkar pinggang dapat menjadi parameter pilihan untuk memprediksi sindrom metabolik.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara persen lemak tubuh dan lingkar pinggang dengan hipertensi pada siswa di SMK Hidayah Semarang. Metode: Rancangan penelitian ini adalah cross sectional. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI dan XII SMK Hidayah Semarang dengan jumlah sampel 85 orang diambil dengan teknik purposive random sampling. Persen lemak tubuh diukur dengan menggunakan BIA hand to foot, lingkar pinggang dengan metline dan tekanan darah diukur dengan membandingkan hasil dengan persentil tekanan darah menurut usia, jenis kelamin dan tinggi badan. Analisis data menggunakan program SPSS. Analisis bivariat menggunakan uji chisquare (α = 0,05). Hasil: Tidak ada hubungan antara persen lemak tubuh dengan hipertensi pada siswa di SMK Hidayah Semarang (p = 0,505) dan tidak ada hubungan antara lingkar pinggang dengan hipertensi pada siswa di SMK Hidayah Semarang (p=0,108). Simpulan: Tidak terdapat hubungan persen lemak tubuh dan lingkar pinggang dengan hipertensi pada siswa di SMK Hidayah Semarang.

Abstract

Background: Stunting is a chronic malnutrition problem caused by inadequate nutrition intake for longtime. Potential factors that influence stunting on toddlers arethe availability of food, maternal age, the level of family education and exclusive breastfeeding. The study aims to investigate the correlation between maternal age, exclusive breastfeeding and stuntingon toddlersat Cemanggal, Munding Village Method: The study wascross sectional approach. The population was all mothers of toddlersaged12-59 monthsold at Cemanggal, Munding Village. The samples of the study were taken by total sampling with 52 respondents. The data analysis used univariate analysis with frequency distribution, and bivariate analysis used chi square and risk estimate. Result: Percentage of maternalage <20 years old are quite high that is48%. Exclusive breastfeeding low at 26.9%. Half of the toddlersin Cemanggal experience stunting. There is a significant correlation between maternal ageand exclusive breastfeeding with stunting cases on toddlers, ρ-value (0,000 <0.05). Conclusion: There is a significant correlation between maternal age and exclusive breastfeeding with stunting on toddlersat Munding, Cemanggal Village. Maternalage <20 years old are14 times more likely to have stunting children,while mothers who exclusively breastfed are25 times to have stunting children Abstrak : Latar Belakang : Stunting adalah masalah kurang gizi kronis yang disebabkan oleh asupan gizi yang kurang dalam waktu cukup lama. Faktor potensial yang mempengaruhi kejadian stunting balita diantaranya adalah ketersediaan pangan, usia ibu saat hamil, tingkat pendidikan keluarga dan pemberian ASI eksklusif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui hubungan usia ibu saat hamil dan pemberian ASI ekslusif dengan kejadian stunting pada balita usia 12-59 bulan di Dusun Cemanggal, Desa Munding Kecamatan Bergas, Kabupaten Semarang. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh ibu balita dan balita 12-59 bulan di Dusun Cemanggal, Desa Munding Kecamatan Bergas, Kabupaten Semarang sejumlah 52 responden, sampel penelitian ini detentukan dengan total sampling sejumlah 52 responden. Analisis data menggunakan analisis univariat menggunakan distribusi frekuensi dan bivariat menggunakan uji chi square dilanjutkan risk estimate. Hasil: Persentase usia ibu saat hamil <20 tahun di Dusun Cemanggal, Desa Munding cukup tinggi yaitu 48,1%. Cakupan ASI Eksklusif rendah yaitu 26,9%. Setengah dari balita di Dusun Munding mengalami stunting. Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara usia ibu saat hamil dan pemberian ASI esklusif dengan kejadian stunting pada balita di Dusun Cemanggal ρvalue (0,000< 0,05). Simpulan: Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara usia ibu saat hamil dan pemberian ASI esklusif dengan kejadian stunting pada balita di Dusun Cemanggal, Desa Munding. Ibu saat hamil berusia <20 tahun berisiko 14 kali lebih besar memiliki anak stunting, sedangkan ibu yang memberikan ASI eksklusif berisiko 25 kali memiliki anak stunting.

Abstract

Background :Prediabetes mellitus is a metabolic disease characterized by persistent hyperglycemia (high glucose leves), especially after eating due to lack of insulin produced by the pancreas gland or the inability of some cells to use insulin. Isoflavones in soybean and beta-carotene in pumpkin can lower blood glucose levels. Objective :To analyze the effect of drinking pumpkin and soybeanbasedon blood glucose level in prediabetes mellitus patient 30-50 years old in Nyatnyono Village. Method: Research type Quasy Experiment Design with pre and post test randomized group design. The subjects of this study were prediabetes sufferers aged 30-50 years. Respondents were divided into 2 groups, the group were non-intervention group and intervention group. The number of respondents were 13 people in each group. The intervention was done for 7 days. Blood glucose levels were measuredbyusing a glucometer. Feeding intake was measuredbyusing food recall 3x24 hours and analyzedbyusing nutrisurvey. Statistical analysis usedpaired t-test and unpaired t-test (α = 0,05). Results :There was a difference in blood glucose levels before and after treatment in the intervention group with p-value 0.001. Conclusion :The givingofdrink based on pumpkin and soybeancanaffect thedecrease of blood glucose level in prediabetes mellitus patients Abstrak : Latar Belakang : Prediabetes mellitus merupakan penyakit metabolik yang ditandai dengan hiperglikemia (kadar gula darah tinggi) yang terus menerus terutama setelah makan karena kekurangan insulin yang diproduksi oleh kelenjar pankreas atau ketidakmampuan beberapa sel untuk menggunakan insulin. Kandungan isoflavon dalam kedelai dan kandungan betakaroten dalam labu kuning dapat menurunkan kadar glukosa darah. Tujuan : Mengetahui pengaruh pemberian minuman berbahan dasar labu kuning dan kedelai terhadap kadar glukosa darah pada penderita prediabetes mellitus usia 30-50 tahun di Desa Nyatnyono. Metode: Jenis penelitian Quasy Experiment Design dengan rancangan pre and post test randomized group design. Subjek penelitian ini adalah penderita prediabetes usia 30-50 tahun. Responden dibagi menjadi 2 kelompok, yaitu kelompok non intervensi dan intervensi. Jumlah responden sebanyak 13 orang pada masing-masing kelompok. Intervensi dilakukan selama 7 hari. Kadar glukosa darah diukur menggunakan glucometer. Asupan makan diukur menggunakan food recall 3x24 jam dan dianalisis menggunakan nutrisurvey. Analisis statistik menggunakan uji paired t-test dan unpaired t-test (α = 0,05). Hasil : Ada perbedaan kadar glukosa darah sebelum dan sesudah diberikan perlakuan pada kelompok intervensi dengan p-value adalah 0,001. Simpulan : Pemberian minuman berbahan dasar labu kuning dan kedelai berpengaruh terhadap penurunan kadar glukosa darah pada penderita prediabetes mellitus.

Abstract

Background :High blood glucose levels can be an indicator of early onset of DM. The absorption of sugar causes an increase in blood sugar levels and increase the secretion of insulin. Fiber consumption may slow gastric emptying and the absorption of blood sugar levels by the intestine. Objective :To know the correlation between sweetened drinks consumption and fiber intake with blood sugar levels in adults aged 30-50 years in the village of Nyatnyono Ungaran Regency. Method :The design of this research was descriptive correlative of cross sectional. The number of samples were 81. Intake eat measured using a food recall 3x24 hour and analyzed using nutrisurvey. Statistical analysis using Pearson Product Moment test (α = 0.05). Results :Low sweetened drink consumption was in 34 adults (42,0%), moderate category was in 42 adults (51,9%) high category was in 5 adults (6,2%). Less fiber intake category was in 78 adults (96,3%) good category was in 3 adults (3,7%). Good blood sugar level was in 53 adults (65.4%), moderate category was in 14 adults (17,3%), high category was in 14 adults (17,3%). There was a correlation between consumption of sweetened drink with blood sugar levels (p = 0,001, r = 0,351), there was no correlation between fiber intake with blood sugar levels (p = 0,739, r = -0,038). Conclusion :There is a correlation between sweetened drink consumption and fiber intake with blood sugar levels Abstrak : Latar Belakang: Tingginya kadar gula darah menjadi indikator awal terjadinya penyakit DM. Penyerapan gula menyebabkan peningkatan kadar gula darah dan meningkatkan sekresi insulin. Konsumsi serat dapat memperlambat pengosongan lambung dan penyerapan kadar gula darah oleh usus halus. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui hubungan antara konsumsi minuman berpemanis dan asupan serat dengan kadar gula darah pada dewasa usia. Metode: Rancangan penelitian adalah dekriptif korelatif menggunakan pendekatan cross sectional. Jumlah sampel 81 dewasa menggunakan metode Simple Random Sampling. Asupan makan diukur menggunakan food recall 3x24 jam. Analisis statistik menggunakan uji Pearson Product Moment (α = 0,05). Hasil: Konsumsi minuman berpemanis terdiri dari 34 rendah (42,0%) sedang 42 (51.9%) tinggi 5 (6,2%). Asupan serat kurang 78 (96,3%) baik 3 (3,7%). Kadar gula darah baik 53 (65,4%) sedang 14 (17,3%) tinggi 14 (17,3%). Ada hubungan konsumsi minuman berpemanis dengan kadar gula darah (p=0,001, r=0,351), Tidak ada hubungan asupan serat dengan kadar gula darah (p=0,739, r= -0,038). Simpulan: Terdapat hubungan antara konsumsi minuman berpemanis dengan kadar gula darah. Tidak ada hubungan asupan serat dengan kadar gula darah.

Abstract

Background : Increased glucose levels are associated with the incidence of diabetes mellitus. The prevalence of diabetes mellitus increased from 2007 by 1.1% to 2.1% in 2013. Factors causing DM are irreversible factors ie age, sex and the factor that can be changed is the consumption of sweetened beverages and physical activities. Objective: The aim of the study was to analyze the correlation between consumption of sweetened beveragesand physical activities with incidence ofdiabetes mellitusin adultsaged30-50years old. Method : The design ofstudywascorrelation with cross sectional. The population was all adultsaged 30-50 years at Nyatnyono Village. The data sampling used simple random sampling and obtained 81 samples as the respondents. The data were taken by using Recall 24 hours to determine the consumption of sweetenedbeverages, GPAQ questionare to determine physical activitiesand glucometer. Bivariat analysis used Chi Square and Kolmogorov-Smirnov. Results: Therespondents with low consumption ofsweetenedbeverageswere 42,0% (n=32), moderate category51.9% (n=42), high category 6,2% (n=5). The respondents with light physical activitiescategorywere19,8% (n=16), moderate 19,8% (n=49), heavy category 119,8% (n=16). There was a correlation between consumption of sweetenedbeverageswith incidence ofdiabetes mellitus (p 0,034 < 0,05) and not a correlation between physical activities with incidence ofdiabetes mellitus (p 0,958 > 0,05). Conclusion : There is a correlation between consumption of sweetenedbeverageswith incidence ofdiabetes mellitusand there is not a correlation between physical activities with incidence ofdiabetes mellitusin adultsaged30-50years old at Nyatnyono Village West Ungaran District Semarang Regency.Keywords : consumption ofsweetened beverages, physical activities, incidence ofdiabetes mellitus Abstrak : Latar Belakang : Peningkatan kadar gula darah dikaitkan dengan kejadian diabetes mellitus. Prevalensi DM meningkat dari tahun 2007 sebesar 1,1% menjadi 2,1% di tahun 2013. Faktor penyebab DM yaitu faktor tidak dapat diubah yaitu umur, jenis kelamin dan faktor dapat diubah yaitu konsumsi minuman berpemanis dan aktivitas fisik. Tujuan : Mengetahui hubungan asupan konsumsi minuman berpemanis dan aktivitas fisik dengan kejadian diabetes melitus pada dewasa usia 30-50 tahun. Pengambilan data dengan Recall 24 hours, kuosioner GPAQ dan glucometer. Analisis data menggunakan uji Chi Square dan Kolmogorov-Smirnov. Hasil : Responden dengan konsumsi minuman berpemanis kategori rendah 42,0% (n=32), sedang 51,9% (n=42), kategori tinggi 6,2% (n=5). Responden dengan aktivitas fisik kategori kategori ringan 19,8% (n=16), sedang 60,5% (n=49), kategori berat 19,8% (n=16). Ada hubungan antara konsumsin minuman berpemanis dengan kejadian diabetes mellitus (p 0,034 < 0,05) dan tidak ada hubungan antara aktivitas fisik dengan kejadian diabetes mellitus (p 0,958 >0,05). Simpulan : Ada hubungan antara konsumsi minuman berpemanis dengan kejadian diabetes mellitus dan tidak ada hubungan aktivitas fisik dengan kejadian diabetes mellitus pada dewasa usia 30-50 tahun di Desa Nyatnyono Kecamatan Ungaran Barat Kabupaten Semarang.
