Abstract

Telah dilaksanakan kegiatan kepada masyarakat berupa pengembangan alat cetak briket di desa Jatireo kecamatan Gunungpati kodia Semarang. Latar belakang kegiatan ini adalah untuk mengatasi proses pembuatan briket pada saat dicetak, dimana hasil yang diperoleh belum padat sehingga lama nyala api belum sesuai yang diharapkan. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut telah dibuat alat pres yang digunakan untuk memberi beban briket sebelum dikeluarkan dari alat cetak. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan adanya perbedaan ketebalan briket yang tidak dipres dengan yang dipres. Ketebalan briket tanpa menggunakan pres adalah 1 cm dan yang menggunakan alat pres 0,5 cm. Selain itu hasil uji pembakaran diperoleh laju pembakaran briket dari kulit kolang-kaling pada rentang 0.03-0.04 g/s. Hasil ini bersesuaian dengan briket dari jenis biomassa jenis lainnya seperti kayu, daun lain-lain dengan laju pembakarannya 0.03 g/s. Warna nyala api yang ditunjukkan ketika uji coba laboratorium adalah kuning kemerahan dan asapnya tidak menimbulkan gatal jika mengenai kulit.Kata kunci : briket, alat cetak, alat pres

Abstract

The increase of energy needs coupled with the decline in fossil fuel production, requires other sources of energy to meet those needs. One of the solution is using renewable energy. Bioethanol is one of the alternatives to the fossil fuel. This study was aimed at determining the exact mass of mango seeds in producing high grade bioethanol. Bioethanol was produced by fermentation of arum manis mango fruit seed using bakers yeast, Sacczharomyces cerevisiae.  The arum manis mango seeds were known to contain carbohydrate contents of 19.53%. The study was conducted by using different mass of mango seeds 25, 35 and 45 g resectively. The study showed that the samples of 25, 35 and 45 g produce ethanol with concentration of 4.78, 6.64 and 1.48%. These results indicated that the mass of 35 g mango seeds produced highest ethanol content.

Abstract

Peer counseling training activities as a way to address the lack of human resources. Peer counseling is a way for students (teens) to learn how to pay attention and to help other children, and to apply them in everyday life. The aim is to produce a peer counselor to help treat psychological problems of orphans by utilizing peer counselor. This activity was conducted in 10 times the activity began identifying candidates for peer counselors service up on basic skills training for the implementation of counseling their peers. The activities take place from December 12, 2016 - February 22, 2017 held every Wednesdays from 15.00 pm. The result obtained 15 peer counselors to service to peers.

Abstract

The growth of the manufacturing industry in Indonesia affects on the demand of automotive parts. This study aims see the mechanical properties of organic brake canvas made from durian fruit skin and teak leaves. Composite making was done by smoothing durian fruit and teak leaves to become powder. The resulting powder was filtered with mesh 60 so that the particle size is the same so as to facilitate mixing. After that, simple mixing with other ingredients such as magnesium oxide and polyester resin is carried out. The printing process was carried out with a hydraulic press with a load of 4 tons for 3 hours. The brake canvas produced were tested for hardness, wear resistance, and absorbency by varying the percentage composition of the powder of durian fruit fiber and teak leaves. There are five variations in the percentage of composite material composition tested. The results obtained the percentage of the most optimum composition that has a value of hardness, wear wear resistance, and absorption capacity close to the value of the Indonesian National Standard (SNI 09-0143).

Abstract

Counselor Encapsulation adalah kecenderungan konselor untuk mengungkung dirinya pada kebenaran budayanya sendiri sehingga cenderung bersikap resisten pada kebenaran budaya lain. Pelayanan Konseling Lintas Budaya membutuhkan kepekaan budaya dari konselor agar tidak terjadi bias pemaknaan substansi konseling. Oleh karena itu, kecenserungan konselor untuk melakukan enkapsulasi diri harus ditekan agar tidak muncul saat layanan konseling lintas budaya dilaksanakan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif STAD terhadap penguasaan konsep dan keterampilan proses belajar fisika siswa pada sub pokok bahasan getaran dan gelombang. Subjek penelitian adalah kelas VIII B SMP Negeri 2 Ambarawa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik tes, observasi dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan uji deskriptif presentase, uji gain dan uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketuntasan belajar klasikal siswa sebesar 86,11% dengan kriteria tinggi. Data pre-test dan post-test dianalisis menggunakan Chi Kuadrat dan dinyatakan berdistribusi normal. Peningkatan penguasaan konsep ditunjukkan dengan <g>= 0,6 dan kriteria sedang. Hasil analisis uji t menyebutkan thitung = 7,477; ttabel= 1,697; thitung > ttabel sehingga Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Kelima aspek keterampilan proses belajar fisika siswa dianalisis menggunakan uji deskriptif dan dinyatakan meningkat secara signifikan. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif STAD dapat meningkatan penguasaan konsep dan mengembangkan keterampilan proses belajar fisika siswa SMP kelas VIII pada sub pokok bahasan getaran dan gelombang. This study aims to determine the influence of application cooperative learning type STAD to mastery concept and skills process of physics in sub material vibrations and waves. The subject of research is all students in VIII B SMP Negeri 2 Ambarawa. Collection of data using a technique tests, observations and documentation. Data analysis using a percentage descriptive test, gain test, and t-test. The result of research shows that exhaustiveness studying classical student at 86,11% with high criteria. Pre-test and post-test data were analysis using Chi Kuadrat and conclude as normal distribution. Enhancement of mastery concept shows with <g>= 0,6 and middle criteria. T-test analysis result shows tcount = 7,477; ttable = 1,697; tcount > ttable   so Ho rejected and Ha received. Five aspects of skills learning process of physics students are analyzed using descriptive test and shows increase as significant. The conclusion is cooperative learning model of STAD can increase the mastery concept and develop the skills learning process of physics students class VIII SMP in sub material vibrations and waves.

Abstract

      Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar fisika yang muatan literasi sainsnya proporsional, layak digunakan, mudah dipahami oleh siswa, dan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan literasi sains siswa. Pengembangan bahan ajar berbasis literasi sains perlu memperhatikan muatan literasi sains meliputi sains sebagai batang tubuh pengetahuan, sains sebagai cara menyelidiki, sains sebagai cara berpikir, dan interaksi antara sains teknologi dan masyarakat. Penelitian  ini  merupakan  penelitian  pengembangan  (Research  and Development). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh perbandingan muatan literasi sains dalam bahan ajar yang dikembangkan dengan perbandingan 40%:20%:20%:20%. Bahan ajar dinyatakan layak digunakan dengan skor rata-rata kelayakan isi 93,75%, kelayakan penyajian 95%, kelayakan bahasa 90,38%, kelayakan grafis 94,32%, dan kelayakan literasi sains 87,96%. Berdasarkan uji keterbacaan dengan tes rumpang bahan ajar yang dikembangkan memiliki tingkat keterbacaan yang tinggi dengan skor rata-rata 90,39%. Peningkatan kemampuan literasi sains siswa kelompok eksperimen lebih tinggi daripada kelompok kontrol. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar berbasis literasi sains materi fluida statis dapat menaikan kemampuan literasi sains siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Research and Development (R&D) untuk mendapatkan bahan ajar terintegrasi ayat Quran yang layak dan memberikan informasi keefektifan terhadap hasil belajar. Kelayakan bahan ajar didapat melalui angket validasi ahli. Keefektifan bahan ajar didapat dari uji keterbacaan, pretest dan posttest pemahaman maupun sikap serta keterampilan siswa melalui lembar observasi. Analisis data yang digunakan merupakan deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil dari penelitian ini berupa bahan ajar IPA berbasis komplementasi ayat-ayat sains Quran pada materi Sistem Tata Surya kelas VIII SMP/MTs. Kualitas bahan ajar Sangat Layak yaitu 4,00 aspek materi, 3,56 aspek metodologi, 3,78 aspek filosofi dan 3,67 aspek strategi. Uji keterbacaan bahan ajar mudah dipahami oleh siswa dengan skor 63,85%. Uji gain pemahaman siswa 0,55 dan sikap 0,61 pada kriteria sedang. Penilaian keterampilan siswa pada kategori baik. Respon siswa terhadap bahan ajar pada uji skala kecil dan uji skala besar termasuk positif dengan skor 77,15% dan 84,43%.

Abstract

Using of powerpoint in learning still displays a lot of text, so it minimize its legibility and students feel difficult to understand the concepts of Physics. Therefore it needs an effective media for students, that is comic. This research aims to determine the characteristics, appropriateness, responses of students, and the effectiveness of developed comic media. The method used to achieve the goal is research and development method. The developed comic media has four characteristics, those are having islamic nuance, giving dynamic fluid material connected to Quran verses, giving characters values based on Quran, and there are page, which, tell about the characteristics of Prophet Muhammad SAW, Aisha r.a., and Sultan Fatah. The Comic media was stated appropriate as media by material expert and media expert. Students' responses to the media are very good because the comic is easier and more interesting to be understood than the book used.

Abstract

Calorific values were measured by bomb calorimeter on combustion in oxygen atmosphere. Bomb Calorimeter has been produced and researched in the world, because of its benefits on science. Parr Instrument Company is a company located in the USA which produced bomb calorimeter. In contrast to Indonesia, which has not research about it. This research aim to test for validity the bomb calorimeter that build before, and then applying to physics laboratory assistant’s students at university.  The bomb was completed by manual instruction, which tested for validity with the bomb. The methods was Research and Development (RnD) 4-D models that popularizes by Thiagarajan, which consists of four step: define, design, develop, and disseminate. The result of validity tools and manuals categorized as very decent, and applying this tool have very high response for students.
