Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze (1) the correlation of factors that affect the spread of forest fire indication, and (2) the pattern of distribution, land burning time, and the public perception of combustion in Kubu Raya and Bengkayang Districts. The research activities were carried out in 12 villages in Kubu Raya and Bengkayang Districts during the month of November 2014 until January 2014. The research method is using correlation analysis and descriptive to explain the distribution patterns, land burn time, and the public perception of combustion. The results showed: 1) there is a relationship between the purpose of combustion (open land and eradicate weeds) with the population, and there is no relationship between the objectives of land combustion on the combustion behavior of the land associated with the main types of cultivated plants, and there is a correlation to the density of hotspots, the density of dry land farming and bush, shrub/ swamp density, marsh density, density of plantation, and density of open land. 2) The pattern of the farmers burning rice, horticulture and perenninal crops were classified into the type of the pattern of spots and the perception is part of a burning activities,  type with ash beds and lodge with the perception of not being a part of burning activities, and type with only one time burning on the stages of land preparation, and type with in the eradication of weeds. Abstract

Coconut (Cocos nucifera L.) is one of the most developed plantation commodities in West Kalimantan. However, the coconut has a problem with the structure of agribusiness, namely the alignment (integration) that is closely related to the availability of the coconut. This research aims to see the level of proximity of coconut regional market relationship with other regional markets in West Kalimantan represented by Bengkayang Regency, Mempawah, and Sambas district, which analyzed using vector autoregression (VAR) to examine the long-term relationship.  The integration of coconut production in Bengkayang, Mempawah, and Sambas districts was analyzed using the Granger causality test. The data used is the annual quantitative secondary data for 14 years in the time range between 2004 and 2017, which must be stationary at the first difference level. This study showed that West Kalimantan's production experienced some two-way causality relationship and some only one way. Production of Bengkayang affects Sambas, but the production of Sambas does not affect the production of Bengkayang. This finding indicates a one-way causality relationship. It is suggested that the government needs to add and improve infrastructure facilities for market players, and market players must follow production method information through electronic media or related institutions (for example, Department of Agriculture).

Abstract

Agriculture is one of the economic vein in Indonesia. One important agricultural sector is food crops, the role of agriculture is evidenced by its effect on regional GDP. Gross Regional Domestic Revenue is the determinant of measuring regional economic development. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of agricultural production factors such as land area, production, agricultural labor to GDRP  in Pontianak. In this study, used secondary data collected from the Central Bureau of Statistics. This research uses descriptive analysis and multiple regression analysis using SPSS application. The results of this study are the productivity, production, and harvest area decreased every year due to land conversion. The main commodity production in the field of food plants, especially the most dominant vegetables in Pontianak City is spinach, mustard and kale. The best productivity in rice crops and crops is cassava. The influence of agriculture on the GDRP of Pontianak city is relatively stable from 2006 to 20012 and has increased in 2013. GRDP has a positive effect on labor, but negatively affects the area and agricultural production. Agricultural labor in Pontianak is relatively fluctuating per year.Key Word :GFRP, Labor, Land Area, Production
