In 2010 child mortality due to accidents, poisoning and trauma in Indonesia was recorded at 7.3% and was one of the five highest causes of child mortality. Accidents can be prevented and can be overcome if the teacher knows what to do to prevent and provide first aid in accidents or medical emergencies. The purpose of this study was to identify the average value of kindergarten teacher knowledge about occupational safety and health (OSH) in the school environment before and after training to improve first aid and OSH knowledge and skills. This type of research is quasy exprimental with one group pre test and post test design research design. The population is all kindergarten teachers in Menganti District, Gresik Regency. The purposive sampling technique was 20 teachers who were representatives of 3 HIMPAUDI clusters. Results of the study Before and after training participants were given a questionnaire aimed at knowing participants' understanding of knowledge and materials about first aid and knowledge of occupational safety and health (OSH). The average knowledge before first aid training was 65.75 while after the training it increased to 89.75.The average knowledge about OSH before training was 61.5 and after training increased to 90. The results of paired test tests obtained p value> 0.005 that is 0.000 which means that there is a very significant mean difference between before and after the provision of first aid and OSH training in school environments . It can be said that the training can increase the knowledge of playgroup teachers who are trainees about first aid knowledge and knowledge about OSH in the school environment. The purpose of this study was to analyze the internal factors and external factors of subjective work fatigue on service workers docking maintenance division in PT PAL Indonesia (Persero). This study was an observational study with cross sectional design. The subject in this study was the total population (18 workers). The independent variables in this study were internal factors (age, working period, and nutritional status) and workload. Dependent variables were subjective work fatigue that measured by the International Fatigue Research Committee (IFRC) 30-item questionnaire general fatigue symptoms. The results of this study showed that the most fatigue felt by workers was moderate fatigue (50%). Moderate fatigue were experienced by workers ranging in age from 25 to 32 years (57.1%) with a working period of 24-32 years (54.5%), excessive nutritional status (50%), and light workload (54.5%). The conclusion of this study were that the more age increases, the longer the working period, the more nutritional status increases the fatigue of work experienced. The lighter the workload, the more work fatigue increases, it is caused by factors outside of work. Keywords: Subjective Work Fatigue, Internal Factor, External Factor

Abstract

Clean and Healthy Life Behavior is important to be included in the material taught in kindergarten / KB schools which are elements of early childhood education (PAUD).  Because lessons that are implanted early on will make an impression and will always be done by children to adulthood. In addition, clean and healthy living behavior, as a preventive measure, can help reduce infant mortality due to infectious diseases, both water borne disease and food born disease. TK-KB and TPA Lasiyam and TK-KB Masyithah are representatives of two districts, namely Tambaksari District and Mulyorejo District for this community service program. The program aims to increase the knowledge of teachers and caregivers in these two schools in the hope that teachers and caregivers can teach clean and healthy living behavior to their students. The increase of knowledge for teachers and caregivers in PAUD will be important to help reduce the number of morbidity and the establishment of knowledge of health knowledge for students in kindergarten, family planning, TPA Lasiyam and TK & KB Masyithah.abstrakPerilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat penting untuk dimasukkan dalam materi yang diajarkan di sekolah TK / KB yang merupakan elemen pendidikan anak usia dini (PAUD).

Abstract

COVID-19 is increasingly difficult to control. There is evidence of an increase in cases during the beginning of December. There needs to be community participation in prevention and control efforts anywhere (including at home, public facilities and workplaces). Webinars are a method that can be used during a pandemic to increase public knowledge. In this activity, the results showed that some of the participants were female in the age group less than 30 years old with status as students. There was a significant increase in knowledge (p-value = 0.000) of community groups who were provided with counseling through webinars of 9.17 points. It is necessary to expand the reach of people who get counseling through webinars so that information or knowledge about the prevention and handling of COVID-19 can be widely spread throughout Indonesia.

Abstract

Every workplace always has potential hazards. The potential hazards most often found inmanufacturing industries are potential physical hazards that can affect labor productivity. The purposeof this study was to analyze the relationship between working period and age of bead craftsmen withhydration levels. Respondents in this study were 19 workers in PT X Jombang Regency. This researchis an observational study with a cross sectional design. Data collection was conducted from April toJuly 2018. Statistical tests used correlation test in testing urin color indications to determinedehydration levels. The results showed a relationship between the variable work period and the level oflabor hydration with p-value 0.000, age variable with hydration level did not have a relationship withp-value 0.087 where the temperature in the workspace averages 34.1°C. There is a relationship betweenthe length of work and the level of hydration of bead craftsmen and there is no relationship betweenage and level of hydration of bead craftsmen. To reduce the level of hydration status, it isrecommended that every bead craftsman every 2 hours drink as much as 0.5 liters of water, so that theneed for fluids is approximately 2 liter in 8 hours of work can be fulfilled. Companies are advised toadd the amount of ventilation in the workspace to reduce exposure to hot temperatures in theworkspace. Keywords: Hydration level, working period, age

Abstract

Introduction: The textile manufacturing industry has a noisy work environment as a result of the weaving machines which have a noise intensity exceeding the threshold value. Noise can cause complaints of hearing disorders. Other factors that influence hearing disorders are agework period, and the use of ear protection equipment. This study aims to analyze the relationship between age, work period, the use of ear protection equipment, and noise intensity on complaints of subjective hearing disorders in the AJL Weaving Department of Textile Industry. Method: This research was a descriptive observational study with a cross sectional approach. Data were obtained by measuring noise intensity and distributing questionnaires to workers. Respondents in this study amounted to 45 people who were the total population of weaving operators and maintenance workers in the AJL Weaving Department of Textile Industry. Results: The results of this study indicate that age and work period have a sufficient relationship with complaints of subjective hearing disorders, while the use of ear protection equipment has a weak relationship with complaints of subjective hearing disorders, and noise intensity has a strong relationship with complaints of subjective hearing disorders. Conclusion: Individual characteristics only have a weak to moderate relationship with subjective hearing complaints. Meanwhile, exposure to noise intensity has a strong relationship with subjective hearing complaints.
