Abstract

The research aims to find out the effect of palm oil fruit bunch compost with NPK complex’s residues after sweet corn planting for edamame soybean’s growth and production and to find out the dose of residual from palm oil fruit bunch compost with NPK complex in sweet corn planting which utilize to edamame soybean. The research was conducted at the experimental farm of the Agriculture Faculty, University of Riau in June to August 2014. The experiment was arranged in completely randomized design (CRD) with eight treatments and three replications. The data obtained were analyzed statiscally using analyze of variance and tested further by Duncan multiple range test at 5% level. The result showed that palm oil empty fruit bunch compost with NPK complex’s residue after sweet corn planting significantly effect to number of pods per plot and fresh pod weight per plot, but had no significant effect to plant height, the number of branches per plant, number of filled pods per plant and filled pods percentage. The residual of 5 ton palm oil fruit bunch compost with 150 kg NPK complex/ha from sweet corn planting is utilize to edamame soybean.   Keywords : Residue, palm oil fruit bunch compost with NPK complex, edamame soybean.

Abstract

This research aimed to know the response of Duku explants toward the giving of auxin (2,4-D) and cytokinin (BA) for callus growth. This research was conducted in plants biotechnology laboratory at University of Riau, from January until May 2014. The experimental design used was randomized block design (RBD) which is consisted by 2 factors. First factor is the giving of 2,4-D concentration consisting by 3 levels, they are: A1 = 1 mg 2,4-D/l, A2 = 1.5 mg 2,4-D/l and A3 = 2 mg 2,4-D/l. Second factor is the giving of BA concentration consisting by 3 levels, they are: B1 = 0 mg BA/l, B2 = 0.5 mg BA/l and B3 = 1 mg BA/l. This research observed visually and represented by image. Results of this research showed the duku explant that inoculated with 1-2 mg/l of auxin (2,4-D) concentration and cytokinin (BA) 0-1 mg/l or by giving of the both combinations still not make the callus growth, because half of the explant turning brown and finally die.   Keyword: duku, 2,4-D, BA, in vitro, brown

Abstract:                  This study Aims To Know How Much Influence Method Role Playing Against Social Skills Ages 4-5 Years On SPS Mahkota Dewa, District Sail, Pekanbaru. This research Consists Of Two Variables: Role Playing Method and Children's Social Skills. Proposed hypothesis in this study are the following: There is a Role Playing Against Method Effect of Social Skills Ages 4-5 Years On SPS Mahkota Dewa, District Sail, Pekanbaru. The study involved 20 subjects, namely 4-5 years old. Methods of data collection in this study using experimental. Data analysis techniques used in this study is a partial correlation techniques using facilities assistance program SPSS 17.0 for windos.The results showed no significant positive relationship between the independence of Mechanical Token Economy Against Children Aged 4-5 Years On SPS Maohkota god, District Pekanbaru City. Based on the test results after the child's social skills differences using methods contained 48.67% Role Playing Role Playing Method influence Against Child Social Skills.

Abstract

Orchids are very popular ornamental plant because it has a diverse kind. The flowers are used for various purposes. One way to increase the growth of Dendrobium orchid by using a mixture of planting media and fertilizer through the leaves, because the fertilizer is already contained nutrients needed by plants orchid. The study aimed to obtain the composition of planting medium with a good concentration of liquid fertilizer for the growth of Dendrobium orchid (Dendrobium sp.) and conducted experimentally at Gerai Tanaman Hias Intan Bertuah in Jl. Arifin Ahmad, Pekanbaru, Riau by using Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) consist of 9 treatment (media fern, wood charcoal, coconut husk, broken bricks with Growmore concentrations of 0.5, 1. 5 and 2.5 g/liter of water) with 3 replications. Each experimental unit contained 3 plants and 81 population. The parameters measured were the number of shoots, plant height, stem diameter, leaf length and leaf number. The results showed that treatment with the composition of planting media with concentration of Growmore fertilizer had not significant effect on all parameters was observed that the number of shoots, plant height, stem diameter, leaf length and number of leaves, whereas treatment ferns planting media composition, wood charcoal, coconut fiber with Growmore 1.5 g/liter of water gives the best results for the parameters of the number of shoots, plant height and number of leaves on the growth of Dendrobium orchids (Dendrobium sp.). Abstract

An experiment was conducted to determine the effect of Cu-EDTA on the growth and production of soy heancultivated on peat soil. A completely randomized design was assigned with 6 treatments namely 0,50,1 (M),150,200 and 250 ppm of Cu-EDTA solution. It was found that application of Cu-EDl A increased .significantlythe primary branch, dry-matter, pi>d, percentage of fullyfilledpod, weight of .seeds and of H ) seeds/plant. ItMwas also found that treatment of 2(X) ppm of Cu-EDTA solution gave the highe.st value at most observations.

Abstract

The purpose of research to study determines the effect multiple doses of biofertilizer contain an active Bacillus sp. and obtain the best dose on growth and productivity of paddy (Oryza sativa L). The research was conducted in Pekanbaru Agricultural Quarantine Laboratory and the experimental field of Agriculture faculty, Riau University beginning December 2013 to May 2014. The experiment was designed a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 5 treatments and 4 replications. The research treatments are Ph0 (control), Ph1 (15 ml/plant), Ph2 (30 ml/plant), Ph3 (45 ml/plant) and Ph4 (60 ml/plant). The data were analyzed using analysis of variance and followed by Duncan's New Multiple Range Test on level 5%. The result showed that treatments of Biofertilizer contain an active Bacillus sp. has non-significant among plant height, number of total tillers, tiller productive percentage, harvesting, panicle length and number of grains per panicle. But the application of dose 45 ml/plant showed significant on weight of dry grain and weight of 100 grains. Keywords: Bacillus sp. Biofertilizer and SRI Method.

Abstract

Coffee seed has endocurp that is inipcrnicabic who water and Oj, because it contains com-plex of polysaccharide, hemicellulosc, fat and protein. This condition could prevent germi-nation. To overcome this problem, there are several alternatives available, one of them bypeeling endocarp and submerging in gibberellin hormone solvent. This experiment wasconducted in Breeding Laboratory, College of Agriculture, University of Riau. The designM a s Complete Randomized Varianged in factorial 2 factors. First factor is three levels ofgibberellin (0 ppm, 10 ppm and 20 ppni) and the second factor is 3 endocarp treatments(without peeling, 50 % of peeUng and 100 % of peeling). The results showed that 100 %peeling and submerging in gibberellin of 20 ppm could accelerate and increase germinationpercentage, howives cotyledon breaker, there is no significant difference among the inter-action of giberalin and peeling endocarp.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to find out concentration of coconut oil which induce growth and development of bud pineapple’s crown. The treatments of this experience consisted of several concentration of coconut oil, such as: K0= without coconut oil, K1= 25% of coconut oil, K2= 50% of coconut oil, K3= 75% of coconut oil. The result shows that treatment without giving coconut oil could accelerate the appearance of bud, producing the highest number of bud and the highest percentage of growth.

Abstract

The research objective was to assay the plant organ extract that can be used to substitute synthetic gibberellins acid for activation of bud dorman of pineapple stem. This research was conducted by using completely randomized design with 4 treatment and 4 replication. The treatment were GA3. Kernel young maize, leave young maize and green beans germination. The result of experiment shows that the plant organ extract could be used as substitution GA3. Using the young leave of maize shows that producing time of seedling was faster, the seedling was 107,55% higher and 97,74% more weight than GA3 treatment.

Abstract

Peat soil is potential for growing shallot but there is some constraints to produce good yields. This research aimed to know effect of CMA and Cu on the growth and production of shallot. This research was conducted in field laboratory Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau, Rimbo Panjang, Kampar. The treatments were arranged in a factorial 3x4 in Randomized Block Design (RBD) with three replications. CMA (0,10 and 20 gram.plant-1) was the first factor and Cu (0,5,10 and 15 kg.ha-1 provided the highest result.
