Abstract

This research was conducted from May-July 2017. The purpose of this research was to know the best persentage using Feather meal fermented to subtitution fish meal in diets and the effect on growth and feed effeciency. This study uses a completely randomized design (RAL) with one faktor, 5 level treatments and 3 replications. Feeding trials was replacing with fish meal with Feather meal fermentation applied to P0 ( without feather meal fermented in diet), P1 (5% feather meal fermented in diet), P2( 10 % feather meal fermented in diet), P3 (15% feather meal fermented in diet), and P4 (20% feather meal fermented in diet). The result showed that the best treatment contained in P2 (10 % feather meal fermented in diet) with digestibility 23,21%, protein digestibility 56,56% , feed efficiency 72,66%, protein retention 11,88%, spesific growth rate 3,56% and survival rate 86,66%.

Abstract

The research was conducted for 56 days from August to October 2015. The aim of this research was to find out respons of Osphronemus gouramy Lac fingerling on water hyacinth fermentations. The methods used in this study was an experimental method and RAL one factor with stocking density of 5 treatments. The fish used in this research with size of 5-7 cm in length and 3,3 – 5,6 g in weight. Fish were reared in 1 m3 in keramba with stocking density of 20/keramba. Feeding trials were replacing with soybean meal with water hyacinth fermentation applied to 0, 10, 20, 30 and 40% for 30% protein content.Result showed that fermentation of water hyacinth have significant effect (P<0,05) on growth, feed efficiency, and protein retentions. Replacement 10% of water hyacinth fermentation is the best respons, produce the highest growth 2.21%, feed efficiency 21.01%, protein retention 20.89%, and 52.38% feed digestion respectively.Key word: Osphronemus gouramy, Water Hyacinth,Fermentation, Rumen Fluid

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to know the amount of earthworm meals in the diets on growth, feed efficiency and protein retention of freswater catfish (Mystus nemurus C.V). Five isonitrogenous (30% crude protein) experimental diets was formulated to contain 0, 10, 20, 30, and 40% earthworm meal and 100, 90, 80,70,and 60% fish meal (P0, P1, P2, P3, and P4, respectively). Completely randomized design (CRD) was used in this experiment. The result showed that a diet containing 40% earthworm meal and 60% fish meal (P4) support a good specific growth rate (2.26%/day), feed efficiency (63.36%) and protein retention (30.80%). Survival rate of fish was high (95 – 100%). It this concluded that up to 60% fish meal can be substituted with earthworm meal in the diets for freshwater catfish.Key word : diet, earthworm meal, growth, Mystus nemurus, substitution

Abstract

The research was carried out on July until August 2013 in the Fish Nutrition Laboratory, Faculty of fisheries and Marine Science University of Riau, Pekanbaru. The purpose of this study was to remove HCN from rubber seed and See influence treatment of nutrients. so the rubber seeds can serve as fish feed constituents. This study used a Randomized Complete Design (RAL) with nine treatment three times in rreplication. R0 = Without treatment, R1 = Boiling rubber seeds open for 30 minutes, R2 = steaming open rubber seeds for 30 minutes, R3 = rubber seeds drying out under sunlight for 12 hours, R4 = rubber seed soaking in running water for 36 hours, R5 = combination of steaming open rubber seeds for 30 minutes and drying out for 12 hours, R6 = combination of soaking for 36 hours with steaming open for 30 minutes, R7 = combination of soaking rubber seed soaking in running water for 36 hours with an open boiling for 30 minutes, R8 = combination of Boiling rubber seeds open for 30 minutes and drying out for 12 hours with sun light. The result showed that combination of Boiling rubber seeds open for 30 minutes and drying out for 12 hours with sun light (R8) was the most effective way to decrease HCN content, and gave better quality of rubber seed meal for ruminant feed.Key words: Detoxification, HCN, Rubber Seed.Nutrients.

The method used in this research was an experimental method with Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with one factor, four treatments and three replications. The treatment used in this research was an injection of ovaprim with different doses i.e : P0 (0,2 mL NaCl physiology 0,9 %/kg of body weight), P1 (0,5 mL/kg of body weight), P2 (0,6 mL/kg of body weight) and P3 (0,7 mL/kg of body weight). The results showed that ovaprim dose of 0,6 mL/kg of body weight was the bestin turn of latencytime (6.08 hours), total eggs stripping (30.024 eggs/g gonads), egg diameter (0,827 mm), egg maturity (84,443%), Ovi Somatic Index (20,15%), fertility rate (20,01%), hatching rate (19,43 %), and survival rate (29,93 %). Abstract

The aims of this research was to determine the response of green catfish (Hemibagrus nemurus) fry on the use of chickpea leaves (Vigna sinensis)  fermented in the feed to spurred growth and feed efficiency and to find out the best given percentage of chickpea leaves to the maximum growth of green catfish fry. This research used Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with one factor, five treatments and three replications. The substitution ratio of soybean flour with chickpea leaves flour were P1=100% : 0%; P2 = 95% : 5%; P3 = 90% : 10%; P4 = 85% : 14% and P5 = 80% : 20%. The parameters were observed  concsist of digestibility of feed, feed efficiency, protein retention and specific growth rate of green catfish fry. The  result showed that the chickpea leaves fermented in feed can replace soybean flour as a protein source in green catfish feed. The treatment in P4 (85% - 15%) were the best treatment with digestibility of feed 45,95%, feed efficiency 34,25%, protein retention 26,98% specific growth rate 4,18% and for feed cost analysis was Rp.7960   Keyword : Chickpea leaves, Feed, Hemibagrus nemurus.
