Abstract

Discipline is one of the components that determine the educational achievement at school. With the discipline in students are expected to arise conducive atmosphere for teaching and learning in schools. As one of the institutions of formal education, SMA Negeri 1 Lubuk Sikaping has issued a policy relating to rules and regulations. Schools impose sanctions for any violation point made by students in an effort to enforce discipline. The purpose of this study was to describe the cause of the implementation of sanctions effectiveness points in the enforcement of discipline in SMA Negeri 1 Lubuk Sikaping and to explain the impact of the implementation of sanctions effectiveness points in the enforcement of discipline in SMA Negeri 1 Lubuk Sikaping. The study was conducted in February and September. This type of research is a qualitative approach using a case study type. This research sites in SMA Negeri 1 Lubuk Sikaping. This study is only an attempt to make a description, a picture of a situation as it should. Selection of informants using purposive sampling technique. Type of data is the primary data and secondary data were collected through observations, interviews and documentation. Data analysis technique used is an interactive model of analysis. Results of this study indicate that (1) point penalty imposed may restrict students in behaving towards positive. This is due to the strict sanctions and fair in its implementation. (2) good socialization process also makes this point penalty to be more effective. (3) the cooperation of all components of the school such as the principal, vice-principal, subject teachers and counseling teachers make effective sanctions this point. (4) the impact of the adoption of this point of sanctions is to make students more responsible and the teacher can help teachers to control the students behavior.

Abstract

This research is classified as quantitative research with ex post facto type and correlational research type. Questionnaire is used as technique of data colletion and correlation product moment is used as technique of data analysis. The population of this research is all XI IPS classes in SMA N 3 Sijunjung which is registered in 2012/2013 academic year where total of students is 65 students and researcher uses porpotional random sampling as sampling technique with total sample is 56 students. Research findings showed that there is a correlation between students learning discipline in sosiology which consists of two indicators: 1). Obey the regulation in learning process, and 2). Be responsible in doing task or examination, where rhitung >rtabel so H0 rejected Ha accepted. According to this finding, learning discipline is rhitung = 0,676 > rtabel = 0,266 with significant thitung = 6,674 > ttabel = 2,000. It can be concluded that students learning discipline achievement. So, students need to improve or encourage good learning discipline and it will give positive impact or effect t their achievement in learning.

Abstract

Green Card function (Permit) To Improve Student Discipline In Learning Process SMAN 3 Lengayang Kab . South coast . In accordance with the above subject matter then dirumuskans research problem as follows : (1) How green card function (Permit) to improve student discipline in the Learning Process in SMAN 3 Lengayang South Coast . (2) Is the obstacles encountered by teachers in the implementation of a green card (Permit) to improve the learning process of students discipline. The approach used in this study is descriptive qualitative research type , where the approach intends to make a firm theoretical study and includes an explanation of the processes that occur in the local scope . Research informants taken by purposive sampling . Informants in this study consisted of 15 teachers , students of class XII 9 IPS1 , XII IPS2 and 5 people in the canteen owner SMAN 3 Lengayang South Coastal District . Type of data is divided into words and actions . The words and the person being observed or interviewed the main source . Techniques and data collection tools used were interviews , observation , documentation and data collection tools such as interview guides , books , pens and mobile phones . These results indicate that the green card (permit) cards used by SMAN 3 Lengayang can improve the discipline of students in the learning process of students who are often in and out of the classroom and students who often sat dikantin during the learning process can be reduced , the green card (permit) should only be used one student out of the classroom which in turn permit , the time given is only five minutes if it violates the existing laws of the teacher is sanctioned picket . However, in upholding the discipline of students there are some obstacles encountered by the teacher , the teacher is less compact run school rules that have been made with so still there are students who break the rules , there are some students who refused to sanction given by the teacher on duty , then the principal should be more mempertegaskan again to the teacher to follow the rules and regulations in accordance with the desired .

Abstract

Based on background of the problem of this research that teenagers interaction influence each other and act base on their peer group. So, the bad relationship of peer group in society and school environment can influence behaviour of teenager and act in their social environment the formulation of the problem that related in this research, wheather there is peer group relationship with students achievement in SMAN 1 Padang Ganting. The purpose of the study to analyze peer group relationship with students achievement in SMAN 1 Padang Ganting.This research located in SMAN 1 Padang Ganting the population and sample of research is 59 students in class XII IPS SMAN 1 Padang Ganting, but because there was same students score annoyed data entry,so sample becomes 48 students and technique of gathering data by used and questionnaire directly to the object, students of SMAN 1 Padang Ganting. This research is ex-post facto with correlation type that have purpose to know there is relationship beetwen two variables or not.From the analyze of data about peer relationship (peer group), students achievement in class XII IPS that consist of 48 student, we known rhitung 0,145 < rtabel 0,264. Its means of relationship with X variable and Y variable was low. Later, to test that relationship significant of variable X with variable Y which t test. Based on the result of calculation we known thitung = 1,015, while ttabel = 1,684. This showed value of thitung less than ttabel, or with another word relationship between X variable and Y variable was not significant. The result of this research that concluded there is no significant relationship between peer group with student achievemen.

Abstract

Family  is  the  first  socialization  agent  in  society,  because  the  first  time child  knows  about  value  and  norm.  The  parent  is  an  essential  role  in  formative child  behavior  developing.  The  process  socialization  that  doesn’t  by  parents  is communication  and  attention.  In  this  research  analyzed  the  effect  of  family socialization  in  child  behavior  developing  in  Jorong  Lubuak  aluang.  In  the background of this research there is some of family that doesn’t liabilities as first socialization  agent.  One  of  them  only  thinks  about  their  private  without  think about their child. Thus, it can give effect of child behavior. The formulation of the problem  “Does  family  socialization  give  significant  effect  in  child  behavior developing”.  The  purpose  of  this  research  is  to  describe  family  socialization influence to child behavior developing.The theory that is utilized in this research is functional Structural (TalcotPerson).   Observational  method  that  is  utilized  is  quantitative  method  with descriptive  approaching.  Data  collecting  tool  as  questionnaire.  This  research  is done to 50 informen, with aim to describe family socialization influence to child behavior developing in Jorong Lubuak Aluang.  This  informen consist  of  50  childwith age 10 until 12 years old that is explain through questionnaire. From the research results show that: 1) The parent’s communication with their child is adverse because of 50 person respondent 62 % adverse categories. 2) The parent’s attention with their child is adverse because of 50 person respondent 72 % adverse categories. 3) The family socialization adverse in child behavior of 50  person  respondent  54  adverse  categories.  4)  Child  behavior  Causes  just  fine looked of 50 respondent 60% just fine categories. Based on the result research, there  is  family  socialization  influence  to  child  behavior  developing  in  Jorong Lubuak Aluang. It visually of 50 respondents 62% for adverse.

Abstract

The background of the research is there many children in Nagari Koto Nan Duo prefer play traditional games to modern games. As developing of modern games nowadays, the traditional has been forgotten by many children. The research aims are 1) to describe the change form of children’ playing pattern and 2) to describe the impacts of the changes of children’s play at Nagari Koto Nan Duo Kecamatan Batang Kapas Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan. The theory used in this research is functionalist theory from William Ogburn. Research method used is qualitative approach with descriptive type. Informan taken technique is done by purposive sampling way with 24 people. Data found are primary and secondary form. The data collected by using interviewing technique, observing, and documentation with analysis unit, group. The data is analyzed using Miles and Huberman technique consist of 3 stage; data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion/data verification. Result of the research shows that change of children play can be seen a) by location, b) time, c) form, d) frequency and collectivity. The children at Nagari Koto Nan Duo seem playing more modern games rather the traditional ones. It is proven that the frequency of playing modern game is higher than traditional. It affects children behavior which makes they play individually at home even though play outside they just play with two person only. Another impact is children addicted playing modern game. It influences children’ concentration to study at school. The children are getting lazy and jus t thinking about playing game soon after school. Moreover, it affect an extra budget needed which makes them lie to their parents to get more money for playing game.

Abstract

The low due to lack of student learning outcomes varied learning model used by the teacher in the learning process . Though many instructional model used , one model of Problem Based Learning therefore, this study was conducted in order to see the significance of the model of Problem Based Learning to the student learning outcomes in subjects high school sociology class XI IPS SMA Semen Padang . This type of research is experimental research . The population in this study were all high school students of class XI IPS Semen Padang, which consists of 3 classes . The sampling technique is done randomly , class XI IPS3 as experimental class and class XI IPS2 as the control class . The instrument used in this study is the final test . Form of the test used is a form of multiple choice test reliability is r_11 = 0.84 . Based on the analysis of data obtained final test average student learning outcomes experimental class was 80.75 higher compared to the control class is 64.69 . Data analysis obtained t_hitung = 4.355 greater than t_tabel = 1.67 . Thus , it can be concluded that the model of Problem Based Learning as a model of learning that provides a positive impact on student learning outcomes .

Abstract

The begin from anyproblem where the writer observes at senior high school 7 sijunjung. One of the problemis about infience of the sociologi subject at senior high school 7 on XI  grade in sijunjung is the teacher of sociology low in giving motivation to the students especity in giving the task. This research purposes to know how good student’s motivation in doing the task in sociology learning at senior high school 7 on XI grade in sijunjung.Kind of  this research use quantitative approach the population is all the learners on XI grade of IPS 2013-2014 sample in taken by using proportional stratified random sampling research. Which is used in this research is quetionaise of the task and motivation.The result of this research shows that the research er found;  1) there is a significant infivence about thetask which is given by the teacher to the learning motivation, with Taccasut > table (11,240) 1,667). The power of relation include haed (r = 0,806) and big of the contribution infience about giving the task by teacher to the learning motivation is 65,0% . giving the task of the students can bee seen from guldeng or confrolling of the teacher. Given stimulation, guiding while the learner wants to work, or worked and notedbythe students itself without helving from the others this case means the task which is given by the teacher can improve students motivation.

Abstract

The students’ interest to the sociology subject can be told lower, it can be seen form the teaching process where some of student disturb their friend in teaching and while teacher explaing the subject in fron of the class, student did not pay attention, write teacher’s explanation thus in their examination a lot of them was unable answer the question was given by teacher. The formulation of this research was how the improvement of students’ interest in sociology teaching at SMAN 1 Bandar Petalangan. This research aim to describe the improvement of students’ interest in sociology teaching at SMAN 1 Bandar Petalangan of Pelalawan Regency, Riau. The type of this research was descriptive by using qualitative method. As for the informant of this research was sociology teachers. Method of collection the data used observation, interview and documentation. The collecte data was analyzed by doing the reduction data, interpretating data and drawing the conclusion. The result of research depicted that the imrovement of students’ interest in learning sociology at SMAN 1 Bandar Petalangan of Pelalawan Regency Riau were a) teacher in reaching the students’ interest in learning by using discusion method. The student felt interest following the teaching-learning process  by disuction method due to have freedom in giving opinion and idea. b) teacher in reaching the students’ happiness in learning by using picture media. c) In the discussion the teacher used printed media. d) teacher in doing to improve students’ awareness in learning by changing the teaching method by giving individual assignment.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Based on results of The research that has been done, it was found that the factors causing the low interest of students in continue higher education in students in the Resno Village, sub-district V Koto, muko-muko District, obtained the following conclusions: 1). Internal factors cause the low interest of village youthon higner education in the Resno Village are the desire to work for money, lack of awareness/motivation to the importance of higher education, non-existent laerning/cognitive abilities and parental mindset, 2). External factors causing the low interest of village youth towards higner education in resno Village are the influences and economic conditions that are diffrent (increasing) from before. The low awareness of teenagers in the Resno Village towards education at the university the height is influenced by the behavior patterns of children and the motivation of the teenagers themselve.
