Abstract

Abstract Transgender person is an individual who thinks and feels differently from the assigned gender; it is classified asa gender identity disorder; in this study context is a man who changed himself to be a woman. This uncommonbehavior struggles for social acceptance in Indonesian society due to gender construction debate. This study aimsto assess life satisfaction of male transvestite living in Kota Banda Aceh through understanding on therespondents’ life experiences. A qualitative phenomenological approach was used in this study. Respondentswere collected using the snowball technique. Four men who changed to be women participated in this study.Subject I: 34 years old, has been living as a transgender for 13 years; Subject II: 24 years old, has been living asa transgender for 8 years; Subjek III: 27 years old, has been living as a transgender for 4 years; and Subject IV:36 years old, has been living as a transgender for 12 tahun. The result showed that life satisfaction was achievedwhen subjects accepted their conditions and their success in changing their bodies to be women. Their lifesatisfaction was derived from social support given by other male transvestites and by their partners that fulfilledtheir needs to love and to be loved. The greatest obstacle they encountered was rejection from the society whichincreased their anxiety because they did not fulfilled social expectation to behave in accordance to their gender.They used religious practices to cope with this obstacle. Male transvestite achieved an optimum life satisfactionwhen they are able to accept their lives and receive social support from the society.

Abstract

Mahasiswa sebagai individu yang memasuki rentang usia dewasa memiliki tugas perkembangan yaitu bekerja dan membangun karir. Persaingan dalam mendapatkan pekerjaan menimbulkan kecemasan dalam diri mahasiswa. Individu yang memiliki regulasi diri yang tinggi dapat mengontrol perilaku dan menetapkan tujuan sehingga akan berkurang rasa cemas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara regulasi diri dengan kecemasan menghadapi dunia kerja pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir Universitas Syiah Kuala. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah quota sampling. Sampel penelitian ini berjumlah seratus mahasiswa yang terdiri dari angkatan 2009 sampai dengan angkatan 2012 yang sudah menyelesaikan tugas akhir (skripsi). Penelitian ini menggunakan alat ukur yang disusun sendiri oleh peneliti berdasarkan teori Baumeister dan Heatherthon (1996) untuk regulasi diri dan teori Calhoun dan Acocela (1990) untuk kecemasan menghadapi dunia kerja. Hasil analisis data menggunakan korelasi Pearsonmenunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan negatif dan signifikan antara regulasi diri dengan kecemasan menghadapi dunia kerja pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir Universitas Syiah Kuala (r=-0.62, p=0.00, p<0.05). Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa semakin tinggi regulasi diri maka semakin rendah kecemasan menghadapi dunia kerja pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir Universitas Syiah Kuala atau sebaliknya.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor faktor apa saja yang mempengaruhi minat seseorang untuk menggunakan kartu kredit. Proses pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menyebar quisioner kepada 240 orang pengguna kartu kredit diluar Bank Mega di Jabodetabek. Hasil quisioner di analisis dan diolah menggunakan SPSS 25.0. Hasil analisis menunjukan variabel Motivasi memiliki pengaruh paling besar terhadap minat menggunakan kartu kredit, adapun besar pengaruhnya sebesar 33,7%, disusul variabel personal selling yang memiliki pengaruh terhadap minat menggunakan kartu kredit sebesar 11,4%, sedangkan untuk variabel promosi memiliki pengaruh terhadap minat menggunakan kartu kredit sebesar 10,1%, namun untuk varibel gaya hidup tidak memiliki pengaruh secara signifikan terhadap minat menggunakan kartu kredit dikarenakan hanya memiliki pengaruh 1,3%. Hasil analisis akan sangat berguna bagi manajemen Bank Mega dalam hal membuat kebijakan dan strategi untuk meningkatkan jumlah minat calon debitur untuk menggunakan kartu kredit Bank Mega.

Abstract

The study was conducted at the University of Almuslim Bireuen, with the aim to find out; 1) The Effect of Education and Training on Employee Performance, 2) The Effect of Career Development on Employee Performance, and 3) The Effect of Position Placement on Employee Performance. The research method used is descriptive and verification research. Data analysis with the path analysis model (Path Analysis). Descriptive research is research that aims to obtain a description of the training, career development, job placement and employee performance at Almuslim Bireuen University. While verification research basically wants to test the truth of a hypothesis that is carried out through data collection in the field. The sample studied was all employees of Almuslim University with 158 employees. The results of the analysis showed the influence of education and training factors on employee performance at Almuslim University, which amounted to 21.18%. The results of the data analysis also prove the influence of Career Development factors on the performance of Almuslim University employees, which is equal to 20.99%. And from the results of subsequent analysis, it shows that there is an influence of the Employee Position Placement factor on the Performance of Almuslim University employees, which is 14.27%.
