Abstract

ABSTRACT Corbicula sumatrana Clessin is typical of freshwater mussels or brackish water economically valuable. C. sumatrana Clessin a shellfish known people with the name pensi. Pensi consumed by people as a source of animal protein and animal feed ingredients. Singkarak Lake used by people in daily life from the source of drinking water, toilets, fisheries, irrigation, PLTA and Tourism. The many activities of the community could be expected to cause pollution and affect the C. sumatrana Clessin. Shellfish become vectors of biotoksin because his diet filter-feeder. Pensi meat is an excellent medium for bacterial growth. This study aims to determine the presence of Escherichia coli and Salmonella sp. on fresh meat Pensi (C. sumatrana Clessin) originating from Singkarak Lake. The research was conducted in July - August 2013. This research is a descriptive method, by looking at and analyzing the presence of microorganisms are bacteria E. coli and Salmonella sp. The method used to determine the bacteriological quality of the meat is pensi by MPN method and examination of Salmonella. Data were analyzed by calculating the number of bacteria E. coli by observing the number of positive results of the estimation of presumptive test, confirmative test and completed test. The next number of bacteria from each positive results are matched with MPN table. Test Salmonella sp. done by looking at the colony grows. Results of bacteriological tests on meat samples were examined in Microbiology Laboratory Research and Industry Standards (BARISTAND Industry) Padang showed that of the four samples tested, three of which were positive for the bacteria E. coli samples take in Nagari Tikalak, Nagari Singkarak, Nagari Saning Bakar and all samples contained Salmonella sp. Of this study is suggested to consumers that cooking pensi perfectly, to avoid diseases that may occur because it is caused by bacteria.

Abstract

Gmelina arborea Roxb, is a fast growing species that has been cultivated widely in forest plantation. This species can be used for various purposes, such as the stems can be used for furniture and construction and material for pulp and paper industry. This study aimed to determine the effect of various saving time on the growth of Gmelina (G.arborea Roxb.) stumps. The research was conducted from October through December 2013, at Taipa Java Nursery, Maesa, Palu, Central Sulawesi. The experiment was laid out in a Randomized Complete Design (RCD) with ten replications, Control that without saving time (P0), Stump saved 3 days (P1), Stump saved 6 days (P2), Stump saved 9 days (P3), Stump saved 12 days (P4). Observation Parameters consist of seedling height increment, steam diameter increment, leaf number, total fresh weight, total dry weight. The results of the study showed that there were significant differences between the treatments in all the parameters assessed. Treatment stump saved 9 days resulting the highest value in all the parameters and was significantly different from the other treatments in seedling height, stem diameter, leaf number and total fresh and dry weight, while the control treatment showed least performance in this study. Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (classroom action research) yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar fisika peserta didik  kelas VIIa SMP Negeri 1 Sinjai Selatan  yang berjumlah 33 peserta didik  terdiri atas 19 laki-laki dan 14 perempuan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus terdiri atas empat komponen utama, yaitu: 1). Perencanaan, 2). Pelaksanaan tindakan, 3). Observasi, dan 4). Refleksi. Untuk mengumpulkan data tentang hasil belajar peserta didik  digunakan tes hasil belajar dalam bentuk pilihan ganda dan untuk data peningkatan keaktifan peserta didik  dalam kelas digunakan lembar observasi. Selanjutnya data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis kuantitatif dan analisis kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pada siklus I skor rata-rata hasil belajar peserta didik  sebesar  62,50 dengan standar deviasi 11,26 atau berada pada kategori rendah dan harus dilanjutkan pada siklus II untuk melihat perlakuan ini lebih lanjut. Pada siklus II skor rata-rata hasil belajar peserta didik  sebesar 68,13 dengan standar deviasi 8,03 atau berada pada kategori tinggi. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil belajar fisika peserta didik  kelas VIIa SMP Negeri 1 Sinjai Selatan dapat ditingkatkan melalui pembelajaran kooperatif tipe talking stick. Kata Kunci: hasil belajar fisika, tipe talking stick, kuantitatif, dan kualitatifThis research is a class action (classroom action research) that aims to improve learning outcomes VIIa grade physics students SMP Negeri 1 South Sinjai which totaled 33 students consisting of 19 men and 14 women. This study was conducted in two cycles consists of four main components, namely: 1). Planning, 2). Action, 3). Observation, and 4). Reflection. To collect data on the study of students learning to use the test results in the form of multiple choice and for data enhancement active learners in the classroom to use the observation sheet. The acquired data was analyzed using quantitative and qualitative analysis. The results showed in the first cycle the average score of the study of students at 62.50 with a standard deviation of 11.26 or lower in the category and should be continued in the second cycle to see further treatment. In the second cycle the average score of the study of students at 68.13 with a standard deviation of 8.03 or at the high category. It can be concluded that the results of learning physics VIIa grade students of SMP Negeri 1 South Sinjai can be enhanced through cooperative learning talking stick.Keywords: physics learning outcomes, the type of talking stick, quantitative, and qualitative

Abstract

The title of this research is: improving students’ ability in writing descriptive text through Draw Label Caption (DLC) technique to the second year students of SMPN 1 Peudada (A Collaborative Classroom Action Research). The researcher put two problems of this research with the question as follows: first, how does DLC technique improve the second year students’ writing ability in SMPN 1 Peudada? Second, how do the second year students of SMPN 1 Peudada respond toward the implementation of DLC technique in writing descriptive text? The purposes of this research were: first, to improve the second year students’ ability in writing descriptive text through DLC technique in SMPN 1 Peudada. Second, to know the responses of the second year students of SMPN 1 Peudada toward the implementation of DLC technique in writing descriptive text. This research was a collaborative classroom action research. The research subject was the second year students of SMPN 1 Peudada. The sample of this research was 25 students. The data was collected through the field note, writing test, students’ observation sheet, teacher’s observation sheet, and questionnaire. The data was analyzed through the descriptive qualitative research. After the researcher was done all the steps of action research (cycle I and cycle II) the students’ mean score increased from 70 in cycle I and became 77 in cycle II. Besides, from the observation sheet to the students’ activity, it was found that the percentage of the students’ participation during the teaching-learning process in writing class increases gradually. It was proved by the result of the observation sheet where taken at the beginning of cycle I, the percentage of the students’ participation was only 58,88% and it increased to 75,55% and became 85,5% in cycle II. And also, the list of questionnaire given to the students indicates that the student had positive responses toward the implementation of DLC technique in writing class. It was proved by overall mean score 3,31 that was categorized to the level of Agree. Key Words: Writing, DLC technique

Abstract

This thesis entitled “Improving the Students’ Ability in Mastering Reading Comprehension through Three-Two-One (3-2-1) Strategy (A Collaborative Classroom Action Research to the First Year Students of MAN Gandapura)”. From the title above, the researcher put two problems of this research with the questions; first, how is the Three-Two-One (3-2-1) strategy improve the students’ ability in mastering reading comprehension? Second, how does the students’ respond toward the implementation of Three-Two-One (3-2-1) strategy in teaching reading comprehension?. The purposes of the research were; To find out Three-Two-One (3-2-1) strategy improve the students’ ability in mastering reading comprehension and to know the students’ respond toward the implementation of Three-Two-One (3-2-1) strategy in teaching reading comprehension. To answer the research questions, the researcher used collaborative classroom action research as methodology of the research. Therefore, the researcher did collaboration with English teacher to do the research. This research was conducted at MAN Gandapura. The subject of the research consisted of twenty nine students. This research was qualitative research.  The researcher used test, observation sheet, questionnaires, and field notes as the instrument of the research. The researcher and teacher got the mean score of students’ test in the cycle I was 55.03, and test in the cycle II was 71.16. Therefore, the researcher concluded that Three-Two-One (3-2-1) strategy had improve students’ ability in reading comprehension, this strategy can solve the students’ problems in learning reading comprehension in the classroom, and also this strategy brings the new situations for the students to be active in reading comprehension in the classroom.       Key words: Reading Comprehension, Three-Two-One (3-2-1) Strategy.

Abstract

Aedes aegypti merupakan jenis nyamuk yang dapat membawa virus dengue penyebab penyakit demamberdarah. Selain dengue, A. aegypti juga merupakan pembawa virus demam kuning (yellow fever) danchikungunya. Demam Berdarah Dengue (DBD) masih menjadi masalah kesehatan masyarakat di Indonesia. Salahsatu upaya pemberantas DBD yaitu dengan memberantas vektornya yaitu Aedes aegypti. Daun sirih hijau (Piperbetle Linn) memiliki potensi sebagai larvasida karena mengandung fenol dan senyawa turunannya seperti kavikoldan eugenol, mengandung alkaloid, tanin, flavonoid, saponin dan minyak atsiri yang bersifat sebagai larvasidabegitupun dengan daun pandan wangi (Pandanus amaryllifolius Roxb) mengandung alkaloid, saponin, flavonoid,tanin, polifenol dan zat warna yang dapat bersifat larvasida. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat perbandinganefektivitas ekstrak daun sirih hijau dan ekstrak daun pandan wangi sebagai larvasida terhadap kematian larvaAedes aegypti. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen quasi dengan desain post test only controlgroup design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah larva Aedes aegypti instar III/IV sebanyak 25 ekor pada masingmasing4 perlakuan dan 2 kontrol yaitu kontrol negatif (0%) dan kontrol positif (Abate) dengan 4 kalipengulangan.Hasil uji one way Annova menunjukkan nilai p-value adalah <0,05 menunjukkan terdapatperbedaan signifikan jumlah larva yang mati antar kelompok yang dibandingkan. Berdasarkan uji analisis probitnilai LC50 dan LC90 ekstrak daun sirih hijau yaitu 0,19% dan 0,34% sedangkan nilai LC50 dan LC90 ekstrak daunpandan wangi yaitu 0,23% dan 0,48%. Sehingga disimpulkan bahwa ekstrak daun sirih hijau lebih efektivmematikan larva uji (nyamuk Aedes aegypty) dibandingkan dengan ekstrak daun pandan wangi.Kata kunci : Aedes aegypti, Larvasida, Sirih hijau(Piper betle Linn), Pandan Wangi (Pandanus amaryllipoliusRoxb), LC50 dan LC90

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to improve the ability of teachers in planning, implementing learning, and student learning outcomes in learning Citizenship Education by using cooperative type of talking stick model in class V SD Negeri 14 Pontianak Selatan. This research uses descriptive method with research form that is class action and is collaborative. Subjects in this study were teachers, collaborators, and grade V students, amounting to 35 students consisting of 16 men and 19 women. The technique used is direct observation technique and document scrutiny technique with data collecting tool that is observation sheet and document observation sheet. Data presentation techniques are tables and data analysis to find the teacher ability score in planning and implementing learning and improvement of learning outcomes of Citizenship Education. The results of the study were as follows: (1) the ability of the teacher to plan the learning in the first cycle of meeting I was 2.96, the first cycle of meeting II was 3.70, while the second cycle of meeting I was 3.72, the second cycle of meeting II was 3.87 ( 2) the ability of teachers in implementing learning in the first cycle of meeting I is 2.74, cycle I meeting II is 3.52, while cycle II of meeting I is 3.70, cycle II meeting II is 3.85. (3) The result of study at cycle I meeting I is 64,29, cycle I meeting II is 71,76 whereas cycle II meeting I is 76,67, cycle II meeting II is 83,08. Thus, it can be concluded that there is an increase in the ability of teachers in planning, implementing, and learning outcomes of students in learning Citizenship Education by using the model of cooperative type talking Stick. Keywords: Improved, type of talking stick model,learning outcomes, civic education learning.

Abstract

This study aims to describe sexuality regarding various dimensions, namely (1) biological dimensions, (2) social dimensions, (3) psychological dimensions, and (4) cultural dimensions, in Sunyi, Sumirah, and Suntini characters, in Sunyi di Dada. Sumirah by Artie Ahmad, and the objectives (5) its implications for learning literature in high school. This study uses a feminist literary criticism approach and qualitative research types. Based on the results of data analysis, the four dimensions of sexuality are found in the novel Sunyi di Dada Sumirah by Artie Ahmad. Research findings: The most dominant data is the dimension of sexuality regarding the biological dimension because in the novel Sunyi di Dada Sumirah tells a lot about the sexual urges of the three characters, namely Sunyi, Sumirah, and Suntini. The results of this study have implications for literature learning in class XI high school with basic competencies (3.20). Analyzing the messages of the two fiction books (novels and poetry collection books) that are read, namely as teaching materials. The four dimensions of sexuality in the novel Sunyi di Dada Sumirah can be used as teaching materials in Indonesian language learning materials, as the material for analyzing moral messages in the novel. There are many life problems faced by Sunyi, Sumirah, and Suntini characters in living their lives, but they are people who never give up, even though their lives are not very pleasant, so from these stories students can take lessons to be better able to protect themselves in their lives. association, environment and people around, so that students are able to have principles so that they are not easily influenced by things that are not good for themselves.

Abstract

Rasm 'UtsmānÄ« is a model for writing the Koran which was agreed during the Khalifah "Utsmān bin 'Affān by copying the manuscripts that had been collected at the time of Khalifah Abu Bakr al ShiddÄ«q into several manuscripts. Then the manuscripts sent to various Islamic areas along with the qurrā` to be used as guidelines by the Muslims. Scholars have different views regarding the 'Utsmāni rasm as something that must be followed or not. Scholars have three opinions. First, Rasm 'Utsmān is tauqifÄ« (based on guidance from the Prophet SAW) and cannot violate it and must be followed by Muslims. Second, Rasm 'Utsmān is ijtihad but still must be followed by Muslims and must not violate it. Third, Rasm 'Utsmān is just a given term which may be violated if it is agreed by a generation to use another model of rasm. There are several rules contained in this 'UtsmānÄ« rasm, one of them is the al hazf (letter removal) rule. The rules of al-hazf are broadly divided into three, such as: hazf isyārah, hazf ikhtishār, and hazf iqtishār. From these three models, it can be seen that some letters were discarded, namely alif, waw, yā`, lām, and nun. Each of these letters has its own provisions in its writing in the Qur'an and has secrets that can be known through in-depth study.ABSTRAKRasm ‘UtsmānÄ« merupakan model penulisan al-Qur`an yang disepakati pada masa Khalifah “Utsmān bin ‘Affān dengan menyalin mushaf yang telah dikumpulkan pada masa Khalifah Abu Bakar al ShiddÄ«q ke dalam beberapa mushāf. Lalu dikirim ke berbagai wilayah Islam bersama dengan para qurrā` untuk dijadikan pedoman oleh kaum muslimin. Ulama berbeda pandangan dalam melihat rasm ‘Utsmāni sebagai sesuatu yang wajib diikuti atau tidak. Ada tiga pendapat ulama. Pertama, Rasm ‘UtsmānÄ« bersifat tauqÄ«fÄ« (berdasarkan  bimbingan dari Nabi SAW) dan tidak boleh menyalahinya serta wajib  diikuti oleh kaum muslimin. Kedua, Rasm ‘Utsmānī  bersifat ijtihad namun tetap wajib diikuti oleh kaum muslimin serta tidak boleh menyalahinya. Ketiga, Rasm ‘UtsmānÄ« hanyalah sebuah istilah yang diberikan yang boleh saja menyalahinya jika memang disepakati oleh suatu generasi untuk menggunakan model rasm yang lain. Ada beberapa kaidah yang terdapat dalam rasm ‘UtsmānÄ« ini, salah satunya adalah kaidah al hazf (pembuangan huruf). Kaidah al hazf ini secara garis besar terbagi tiga yaitu: hazf isyārah, hazf ikhtishār, dan hazf iqtishār. Dari ketiga model ini terlihat ada beberapa huruf yang dibuang yaitu alif, waw, yā`, lām, dan nÅ«n. Masing- masing huruf tersebut memiliki ketentuan- ketentuan tersendiri dalam penulisannya dalam al-Qur`an dan mempunyai rahasia yang dapat diketahui melalui kajian yang mendalam.  Â
