Abstract

Speed setting plays an important role in the direct current motor, because the motor has a direct current coupling characteristic speed profitable compared to other motors. From both of these characteristics can be used as a basis to set the dc shunt motor speed. If a decline in motor speed due to the increase in load current (Ia), the field current (If) is set (reduced) so that the motor speed be maintained at the desired rotation. In the design of the most important stages of this research. In the design phase to understand the properties, characteristics, specifications of components used and the steps that must be considered by using the block diagram of DC motor supply circuit blocks, smart relay circuit blocks, block string of resistors, and a DC motor circuit blocks, each this circuit has the function block and work differently but interrelated. Based on data and analysis can then be seen that the larger the anchor resistance will decrease the speed of the motor to hold the armature and the greater the speed the greater the resistance to hold field.Keyword : Dc motor speed settings using smart relay

Abstract

In coal mining, to check the pH content of water in liquid waste from coal mining, mining workers mostly use the conventional method, namely by periodically measuring using a digital pH meter or litmus paper. Manual pH reading system makes handling slow. Based on these reasons the research designed a device that can monitor the pH value, the working principle of this tool is that the pH electrode is inserted into the sample solution and then the electrode detects the sample solution and will change the electrical signal where the output will be amplified by an amplifier circuit in the form of an analog voltage and will be converted. by Arduino Uno, analog data is converted into digital data or ADC (Analog To Digital Convertion) so that the results will be displayed on an LCD that is equipped with I2C. And this tool is also equipped with RTC (Real Time Clock) so that it can display the time when data collection on the pH level of the waste. The tool that is designed has an error percentage of the pH meter manufacturer of 0.4969%. By using this tool the authors conclude with 0.4 grams of lime (CaO) on the prototype or 480 kg in real conditions with a ponds area of 600 m3 can reduce the voltage output on the ph sensor from 3.25 V to 2.56 V so that the pH value increases. from 2.73 to 7.61 in pond 4 or dump ponds. Abstract

The intensity of illumination in a room should be in accordance with the need of that room, like the set standards of the Indonesia National Number 6197 in 2011. The study is intended to evaluate the system of lighting in the rooms and take into account the aspect of saving energy of the Yayasan Putri Tujuh Ujung Batu. From the result of the measurement directly by using Light Meter measurement tool obtained that strong lighting in the room do not meet the Indonesia National Standard. This research is carried out the intensity measurement of strong lighting in the Putri Tujuh Ujung Batu Foundation.. Cause of that, lamps evaluation of intensity by using of zonal cavity methods. Type of lamps suggested are five Philips LED with 33 Watts. The results of the calculation method are simulated using the DIALux Evo V.8.2 software which display on dimensional three image and intensity of illumination in the room. From simulation, the colour of wall with pure white increases the illumination intensity from 400 Luxes to be 556 Luxes. Saving Energy for SD Islam Inayah is 31,25 by using Philips LED compared to Hannochs lamps.Keywords: Zonal Cavity Method , Software DIALux Evo , Saving Energy.

Abstract

Analysis and modelling of induction motor of permanent capacitor have been done in this paper. With specifications 30 Volt, 100 Watt, 6 pole, 50 Hz, 1000 rpm. At this writing the equivalent circuit Г inverse form by simplifying the parameters which determine the stator reactance leak is not the sameas leaking rotor reactance. So that the determination of the parameters can be done more thoroughly. Modeling transient permanent capacitor induction motor has been done using MATLAB- Simulink. In this research, the percentage of permanent capacitor induction motor error burden from direct test results and simulation results that the initial voltage on the primary winding by 3.46%, the initial voltage on the auxiliary winding of 8.896%, stable voltage on the auxiliary winding by 9.89%, currents starting on auxiliary winding by 19.97% and stable current on auxiliary winding by 21.44%. From the shape of the voltage waveform generated change, the results of experimental approaches the simulation calculation results on the primary winding and the auxiliary winding thus obtained avalid analysis.Keywords : Permanent capacitor induction motor, induction motor modeling using inverse Γ equivalent circuit, Simulink - Matlab.

Abstract

Public road lighting facilities are needed to support the activities and mobility of road users. Factor affecting. the point of view of the right type of lamp, the pole distance, the boom length and boom angle of lamp. This is done so that road lighting can be implemented optimally, such as the use of energy-saving lamps and the design of road lighting designs in accordance with SNI. This research aims to evaluate and propose a PJU design by maximizing the efficiency of the lighting system. The study area used for research is the main road of Riau University, especially the main campus of UNRI which is in Panam Pekanbaru. To facilitate the design process, software for lighting simulation is used, namely DIALux evo 8.2. The results of the study refer to SNI 7391:2008. The lamps used 13,4 watts LED with 1600 lumens and 14,6 watts LED with 2200 lumens adapts to lighting needs on the road so as to minimize use of poles and lamps. Based on the results of calculations that have been carried out on the road lighting parameters of the University of Riau, the pole distance is obtained in the range of 10 meters - 17 meters adjusting the distribution of light on the road, the boom length in the range of 0,5 meter - 8.2 meters adjusting the distance of the pole to the road, the boom angle in the range of 0 ° - 15 ° adjusts to the position of the road to the lights, The average illumination level is in the range of 2,93 Lux – 4,38 Lux with an evenness of 0.42 - 0.6 and the glare threshold is in the range of 0 - 2 where the maximum glare threshold is 4. Abstract

One of the aspects that can affect reduced the quality of electricity is the incidence of harmonics on electric waves due to by non linear loads, causing additional losses and led to decrease in work capacity (derating) the distribution transformer. Results of measurement of harmonics in distribution transformers in Riau University engineering faculty for one week, at certain times indicate the value percentage of 12.57% TDD exceeding the IEEE 519-1992 standard is 5%. This proves that the transformer impaired harmonic currents. As for the voltage distortion does not have problems (not exceeding standards). Based on the measurement results of 18.57% current THD cause losses of 19.3 kW and has a value of 27.4% THDF thus decreasing the capacity of power (kVA) installed or derating of 72.6%.Keywords : Harmonics, Total Harmonic Distortion and Derating

Abstract

The increasing user of electrical energy so PT PLN (Persero) is required to design a balanced distribution of electric power in each phase, in order to meet the needs of efficient electricity. However, there is often a load imbalance in the distribution of electric power. This study analyzes the effect of load imbalance on distribution transformer efficiency by using the calculation method of percentage loading, load imbalance, losses and efficiency of the transformer. From the results of the study it was found that the lowest efficiency occurs when the load imbalance is high. So that in this condition the neutral wire will have a current and cause losses where the value is proportional to the value of the neutral current. These energy losses will lead to lower transformer efficiency. From the results of research that has been carried out on the distribution transformer of PLN (Persero) ST 009 on October 29, 2021 with data obtained at 21.00, the load imbalance is 10.88% with a neutral current of 96 A and at 22.00, the load imbalance- it is 7.2% and the neutral current is worth 74 A. So the losses that occur at 21.00 are greater than at 22.00 which results in efficiency at 21.00 being smaller than at 22.00 with efficiency values of 94.41% each. compared to 95.04%. Abstract

The use of electric power is one of the basic needs around the world, but there are some areas or places that are also not reached by electricity, such as in coal waste fields that require pH sensing to measure the quality standard of waste before disposal. The use of photovoltaic systems is an alternative to solve this problem. In this study, tests and measurements were carried out to determine the ability of the photovoltaic system as a power source for pH sensing. Measurement and testing on the prototype is carried out by applying varying loads and covering the surface of the solar panel which results in a change in the value of voltage and current. Based on the results of solar panel testing by covering the solar surface (shading), when the weather is clear with radiation of 812.4 W / m2 and a temperature of 33.7° C, the solar panels will stop filling the battery by closing 90% while in cloudy weather conditions with radiation of 242.4 W / m2 and a temperature of 31.9° C, solar panels will stop filling the battery by closing 40%. Abstract

Electric power is the basic human needs in life. Indonesia's electricity mostly served by a stateowned company that we know the name of PT. PLN (Persero), which energy sourced electricity generated from power plants. In the town of Teluk Kuantan Kuantan Singingi source of electrical energy obtained from the substation with an installed capacity of 2 x 30 MVA, in which the high voltage transmission line 150 kV supplied from the substation Kiliranjao West Sumatra Province which consists of 6 (six) Feeder which mostly caters to needs households and industry. Along withthe development of an area, it will have an impact on the amount of electrical energy requirements will result in the distribution channel spacing between plants and consumers increasingly distant. With the longer the distribution channels and the increasing burden on the Feeder will increase power loss which resulted in a fall in voltage. To overcome these problems need to do repair them with the installation of capacitor banks and enlarging the cross sectional area Conductor mediumvoltage air channels. Before the repair needs to be calculated by using the power flow ETAP Software 7.5. After calculating for the combined method between the capacitor bank and enlargethe airway cross-sectional area Conductor medium voltage obtained the lowest percentage of voltage drop at the level of 1.52% and the highest at the level of 4.92% of the voltage sent.Keywords: Voltage drop, feeder distribution network, medium voltage 20 kV

Abstract

The development of electrical power is important issue and has more effect to development of Indonesia. One of ways to increase the amount of power needed in manufacturing parallel system for distribution transformer. This way using by Engineering Faculty, University of Riau need 475,015 kVA or approximately 59,37% from maximum limit transformer load. Load limit for distribution substation of transformer from datasheet is 400kVA p.u and for load limit from theory calculation is 381,084kVA p.u or approximately 95,271%. This losses get from loss of material transformator about 4,729%. According to standardization presented by schneider electric, USA. transformator with the least impedance will have the most current cause in short age of the transformator.Keywords : Distribution System, Parallel System, Transformer, Flow Circulation.
