Abstract

Synthesis of alginate-chitosan polyelectrolyte membrane and the determination of the physical-mechanical properties were carried out. Alginate-chitosan polyelectrolyte complex membrane can be made by mixing hydrosol alginate and chitosan hydrosol with a ratio of 1: 1 at pH 5.28. Membranes of alginate-chitosan polyelectrolyte complexes produced have physical-mechanical properties including load, elongation and elasticity, water absorption and resistance better than the constituent polymers. The results of FTIR spectroscopy analysis showed that there was an electrostatic interaction between alginate and chitosan through protonated amine groups of chitosan and carboxylic groups from alginate. Surface analyses by SEM showed that morphology of alginate-chitosan polyelectrolyte complex membrane was different with single membrane morphology

Abstract

The objective is to develop photoreduction method catalyzed by TiO2 for the decreasing Hg(II) concentration. Photocatalytic reduction was carried out in a closed reactor equipped with UV lamp, by irradiating and stirring a mixture of Hg(II) solution and TiO2 photocatalyst powder for a certain period of time. The amount of reduced Hg(II) by photoreduction was calculated by substracting initial Hg(II) concentration with unreduced one, which was determined using cold vapor atomic absorption spectrophotometry method. The result of the research indicated that the use of TiO2 photocatalyst has increased the effectiveness of Hg(II) photoreduction. In the photocatalysis process TiO2 exposured by photon energy could resulted in •OH radicals and electrons that can recombined in the same time. The presence of p-chlorophenol in the solution mixture increased the photoreduction effectiveness probably due to its capability in capturing •OH radicals.TiO2 decreases in its crystalinity up to 15.54 % after process.Keywords: photoreduction, Hg(II), TiO2, p-chlorophenol

Abstract

Analisis hubungan kuantitatif struktur dan aktivitas (HKSA) dilakukan untuk senyawa turunan triazolopiperazin amida untuk menghibisi enzim DPP IV penyebab diabetes melitus tipe 2. Analisis ini dilakukan dengan pemodelan molekul turunan triazolopiperazin amida dan perhitungan deskriptor HKSA menggunakan metode semiempirik PM3 dengan program HyperchemÒ. Analisis data menggunakan metode analisis regresi multilinear untuk parameter elektronik dan molekular dengan program SPSSÒ. Persamaan terbaik yang diperoleh adalah:-log IC50 = 79,955 - (11,635*qC1) - (2,094*qC2) - (34,6*qN11) + (797,684*qC15) + (0,288*m) n = 18; r = 0,714; adjusted r2 = 0,305; Fhit/Ftab = 1,239; PRESS = 0,017.Berdasarkan persamaan tersebut, senyawa dengan aktivitas terbaik yang diusulkan adalah:((2R)-4-Okso-4-[3-(Trifluorometil)-5,6-dihidro[1,2,4]triazolo[4,3-a]pirazin-7(8H)-il]-1-(2-fluoro-4,6-dihidroksofenil)butan-2-aminadengan harga –log IC50 = 8,601.

Abstract

Limbah cangkang udang dimanfaatkan untuk memproduksi kitin sebagai media pertumbuahn bakteri kitinolitik. Enam isolat yang diperoleh dari lumpur sawah semuanya menunjukkan aktivitas kitinolitik. Hasil analisis selama 5 hari inkubasi menunjukkan bawah jumlah sel dan kadar protein diproduksi paling besar pada hari ke empat oleh isolat TNH23. Aktivitas kitinase tertinggi ditunjukkan oleh isolat TNH54 pada hari kedua sebesar 0,331 U/mL dan aktivitas spesifik 0,721 U/mg. isolat TNH23 dan TNH54 diduga mempunyai genus yang berbeda yaitu Aeoromonas hydrophyla dan Burcholderia pseudomallei.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimanakah Kualitas pelaksanaan Ujian Nasional (UN) serta apakah ada fenomena lain yang muncul dalam pelaksanaan Ujian Nasional (UN) di Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) se- Provinsi Riau. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakanyakni kombinasi kuantitatif-kualitatif, maka metode penelitian ini mengkombinasikan teknik pengumpulan data kuntitatif dan dianalisa dengan kualitatif prosentase. Penelitian ini dilakukan di MAN Rengat, MAN Bengkalis, dan MAN 2 Model Pekanbaru. Berdasarkan analisa data, Peneliti telah menyimpulkan bahwa terdapat fenomena dalam pelaksanaan Ujian Nasional di tingkat Madrasah Aliyah Negeri se- Propinsi RiauThe aim of the research is to know how the quality of National Test application (UN) also whether is there any phenomenon that appears in National Test application (UN) on Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) surround the Riau Province. The research procedure that used is quantitative and qualitative combination, so the research method combined the quantitative data gathering and analyzed by qualitative percentage. This research has been done in MAN Rengat, MAN Bengkalis, and MAN 2 Model Pekanbaru. According to data analyzed, the researcher has concluded that there is a phenomenon in applying National Test in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri surround Riau Province. 1994.Kata kunci: fenomena dalam UN, UN madrasah aliyah, UN madrasah aliyah Riau.

Abstract

Analysis of the quantitative relationship between structure and characteristics of 18 polyaromatic hydrocarbons has been done by quantum Ab initio Quantitative Structure-Property Relationship (QSPR) study at Hartree Fock level of theory. Moment dipole was used as the quantum chemical descriptors, whereas molecular weight and number of rings were applied for constitutional descriptor and the valence connectivity index as steric descriptors. The compound’s electronic structure was studied by molecular modeling and retention time (Tr) data were obtained from the literature. Multi-linear regression analysis has been performed by randomly splitting the initial data set into on fitting data set and a test data set. The best result provided by QSPR analysis is the following model equation: log tR = 1.276 + 0.016MW+0.323Rc-0.423χ1-0.147χ2 with n =18 r=0.917 r2 =0.841 SE=0.182 Fcalc/Ftable = 5.408. The retention times of PAH compounds with two and three rings were successfully predicted by QSPR models.
