Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam dua tahap 1) Analisis kebutuhan dengan melibatkan 159 orang mahasiswa yang melaksanakan praktikum biologi. 2) Merancang sumber belajar berupa Virtual Laboratorium pada topik kultur jaringan tumbuhan, dalam tahapan ini design virtual yang dilakukan masih dalam masa pengembangan. Data self efficacy dengan 5 indikator yang terdiri dari (keyakinan menyelesaikan tugas, motivasi diri, kerja keras, mengatasi hambatan, dan menyelesaikan tugas dalam perspektif luas atau sempit) dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan kuisioner. Rancangan story board virtual lab didesign menggunakan software photoshop. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata skor self efficacy terkait keyakinan menyelesaikan tugas (80), memotivasi diri (87), kerja Keras (87), mengatasi hambatan (80) dan self efficacy dalam menyelesaikan tugas dalam perspektif luas atau sempit (73). Hasil ini menunjukkan perlu adanya upaya untuk peningkatan self efficacy dengan mengembangkan su mber belajar untuk pelaksanaan praktikum berbasis teknologi informasi, salah satunya pengembangan virtual laboratorium yang dapat memfasilitasi mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan tugas secara mandiri.Abstract. The research was carried out in two stages: 1) Needs analysis involving 159 students who carried out biology practicum. 2) Designing learning resources in the form of Virtual Laboratories on the topic of plant tissue culture, at this stage the virtual design is still under development. Self-efficacy data with 5 indicators consisting of (belief in completing tasks, self-motivation, hard work, overcoming obstacles, and completing tasks in a broad or narrow perspective) were collected using a questionnaire. The virtual lab storyboard design is designed using Photoshop software. The results showed that the average self-efficacy scores related to belief in completing tasks (80), self-motivation (87), hard work (87), overcoming obstacles (80) and self-efficacy in completing tasks in a broad or narrow perspective (73). These results indicate the need for efforts to increase self-efficacy by developing learning resources for the implementation of information technology-based practicums, one of which is the development of virtual laboratories that can facilitate students in completing assignments independently.

Abstract

Abstract: Tempoyak is a typical traditional food from Bengkulu which is from durian fruits meat the making of tempoyak is arded by addition of salt, but salt concentration is not known by the public. The research aims to determine effectiviness of salt addition to the quality of tempoyak durian (Durio zibethinus Murr) and produce the design of biology student worksheet in hight school class XII Biotechnology subject. Experimental research by conducting tempoyak durian fermentation experiment with the addition of 1 gram, 2 grams, 3 grams, 4 grams and 5 grams with 5 treatments of 3 repetitions of 200 gram durian and continued with the development of student worksheet learning from experimental research data (only at the Analysis and Design stage). The results showed that the addition of salt to tempoyak durian had an effect on the decrease in pH value. The lowest pH value for salt addition was in A2 and A3 treatments, while in A4 treatment it increased to an average pH value of 4.4 which had an organoleptic value in brownish yellow color, flavored tempoyak and stinging, slightly salty and slightly acidic and soft texture. The results of this study can be used as learning resources oriented to the Project Based Learning model of Biology subjects in class XII biotechnology material. All data from the research results can be used to design the Senior High School Biology student worksheet Learning in Conventional Biotechnology class XII with Project Based Learning Learning Models. However, before the student worksheet design is used on a broader scale it is recommended that a feasibility test and effectiveness be carried out on a limited scale.Key Words: Durio zibethinus Murr, Tempoyak, Salt, Student Worksheet

Abstract

Abstract: Swamp land is land that occupies a transitional position between land and water. Degradation of swamps is currently common, such as fires which result in a reduction in the area of peat swamps. The consideration of the condition of water stored in peat swamps fosters a unique ecosystem with a diversity of endemic living things such as microalgae. This study was conducted to determine the type of microalgae that was successfully identified from the peat swamp habitat of Giam Siak Kecil Bukit Batu Biosphere Reserve which was used in designing Worksheets Students in the kingdom protista class X SMA material, held from January 2019 to April 2019. This study used a method survey by determining the sampling point using purposive sampling technique. The parameter in this study was the identification of microalgae isolates. The research design consists of 2 stages. The first stage is exploratory research: Taking samples of microalgae water for isolation and identification. The second stage is the design of LKPD in Kingdom X Protista class in high school. The results of the study obtained 3 types of microalgae that were successfully identified from the peat swamp Giam Siak Kecil Biosphere Reserve Bukit Batu, namely Chlorella sp, Chlamydomonas sp, and Navicula sp. The results of this study were subsequently developed into Student Worksheets in the Kingdom Protista class X high school material.Key Words: Identification, Microalgae, Design of LKPD, Peat Swamp

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to know the total Coliform bacteria and the presence of Escherichia coli bacteria in black grass jelly sold around the campus of Universitas Riau, as well as to know the potential of the research results to be used as worksheet design on eubacteria concept of the first year students in senior high school. The study was conducted at the microbiology laboratory of medicine faculty and the Biology Education Campus, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Universitas Riau. The sample used was black grass jelly sold by beverage traders around the Riau University campus with a purposive random sampling method based on predetermined criteria.The sample used was black grass jelly which is sold by street drink vendors around Universitas Riau area. The test of Escherichia coli (Coliform) bacteria in black grass jelly used Most Probable Number (MPN) method with contains 3 test stages, namely Presumtive Test, Confirmation Test, Complete Test by using different growth media and incubated at 37oC for 2x24 hours. The results showed 8 of the 8 samples tested did not meet the microbial contamination requirements and there were Escherichia coli bacteria in the 3 samples studied. The highest total Coliform bacteria was found in sample B in location 2 (Bangau Sakti street), while the lowest total Coliform was found in sample A in location 2 (Bangau Sakti street) and sample A in location 3 (HR Subrantas street). All samples tested had a total Coliform that exceeded the food safety requirements set by BPOM RI. there were Escherichia coli bacteria in the 3 samples studied. Then, this results can be used as worksheet design (LKPD) on the eubacteria concept of the first year students in senior high school.Key Words: Black Grass Jelly, Coliform, Escherichia Coli, MPN

Abstract

Abstract: Research has been carried out in Pekanbaru N 12 Middle School from January to March 2019 which aims to determine the implementation of the constructivism approach to science learning in grade VII students of junior high school using the quasi-experimental technique. The sample used in this study is class VII 2 and VII 3, which amount to each class 32 while the population is all students of class VII SMP N Pekanbaru. The instruments used are learning tools in the form of syllabus, learning implementation plans (RPP), student worksheets based on constructivism approaches. The results showed that the LKPD based on the constructivism approach had an effect on learning outcomes indicating that the control class with a pretest average of 30.54, while in the experimental class with an average value of 31.40 with the pretest category in the two classes "Very poor" at interval <34, this shows that at the beginning of learning before learning or treatment is given both classes have a mean that is not much different. While the average value of posttest in contriol class 78.90 with the category "Enough" at the interval value of 55-64 and in the experimental class the mean value was 88.12 with the category "Very Good" which at intervals 85-100. It can be concluded that the effect of LKPD based on the constructivism approach can improve the learning outcomes of class VII students of SMP N Pekanbaru.Key Words: LKPD Based on Constructivism Approach, Learning Outcomes, Science Learning

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the potential of the handout design in class XII high school learning conventional biotechnology materials. This research was conducted at the Binawidya Campus, Riau University in September - November 2020. The design of this study used the ADDIE model, namely the analysis, design and development stages. Handout design in the form of an analysis of the potential development of high school learning media materials for Conventional Biotechnology Class XII semester II. This study uses an experimental method with a quantitative descriptive type of research. Based on the results of the potential analysis, it was found that sawdust had an influence on the growth of white oyster mushroom (Pleurotus ostreatus) and could be used as a handout design for conventional class XII biotechnology material in accordance with curriculum analysis, namely in KD 3.10 and 4.10.Key Words: Handout, Biotechnology material

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the growth of microalgae in peat water media and produce a design of Student Worksheet (LKPD) protists in class X high school. This research was carried out in the Biology Education Laboratory FKIP UNRI in March-April 2019. This research was conducted in two stages, namely the experimental stage: microalgae growth in the peat water medium of Giam Siak Kecil Bukit Batu Biosphere Reserve and the design phase of the LKPD: analysis of potential material material development class X high school protists. The study used an experimental method with Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 3 treatments and 3 replications. The parameter in this study is Optical Dencity (OD). Based on the results of Analysis of Variance (ANAVA) at the level of 5%, the addition of microalgae in the media of peat water significantly affected the OD values of microalgae. The best combination of treatments is found in treatment M1 with a mean OD value of 0.115 achieved on the seventh day. While based on the analysis of potential results of the study can be used as a draft Student Worksheet (LKPD) material for class X high school protists in KD 3.6.Key Words: Growth Curve, LKPD, Microalgae.

Abstract

Abstarct: This study aims to develop video tutorials for biology practicum activities for high school students, analyze the feasibility of video tutorials for practicum activities, analyze the use of video tutorials for biology practicum activities for high school students. This type of research is development research using the ADDIE model. This research is carried out until stage 3, which is the development stage. Instruments used for data collection are validation sheets, response questionnaire sheets. The trial was conducted on students of class XI SMAN 1 Pekanbaru. The results showed that the video tutorial media for biology practicum activities for high school students was very feasible with an average value of 93.59. The video usability analysis was obtained from the results of the first trial with an average value of 93.75 and the second trial with an average value of 91.01 with a very good category. This shows that the video tutorial developed is very feasible to be used as a learning resource.Key Words: Media, Video Tutorials, Practical Activities.

Abstract

Abstract: A research was conducted to develop Learning cycle 5E based Student Worksheets (LKPD) in the material kingdom monera at X grade in Senior High School in the Teacher Training and Education Faculty of the University of Riau from July-December 2019. The research refers to the R & D research approach using the model 4D developed. The research was carried out until the development stage. The research subjects were KD 3.5 and KD.4.5. Data were collected using a validation sheet filled out by 5 validators, the first trial was aimed at 5th semester students as many as 10 students and the second trial was aimed at high school class X students as many as 20 people. The validation results obtained an average score of 3.56 with a very valid category, trials I and trials II obtained an average score of 3.72 and 3.59 with very good categories. Based on the results of the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the Learning Cycle 5E Worksheet based on the kingdom monera class X high school material that has been developed is of very good quality. The quality of this LKPD can be seen based on the quality of the content eligibility aspects, design aspects and pedagogical aspects which are in the very valid category.Key Words: Development, Student Worksheet, Learning Cycle 5E

Abstract

Abstrat : The progress of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the21st century enables the automation of almost all fields, including education, necessary forrenewal, improvement and development of the education system in learning that can not beseparated from the activities of teachers and students in the learning process.Biologymaterial that discusses physiology is very difficult for students to understand because it isabstract. An alternative used to facilitate students is to utilize applications or software inmaking media, one of them is Adobe Flash software in making animation media. This studyaims to develop and produce animated media using Adobe Flash which is valid as ascience learning medium on the Respiratory System class VIII SMP. This type of researchused in this study is research and development (R&D) using the Four-D model. The resultsof the media validation are very valid with an average score of 3.74. The results of smallgroup trials on animated media using adobe flash that were developed were very good witha score of 98.75 while the results of the field trials of animated media using adobe flashwere very good with a score of 94.68 and could be applied in classroom learning activities.Keywords: Animation media, Adobe Flash, Four-D
