The children rights were first recognized in the 19th century, at the time when war wasraging in Europe and many children became victims of war. Comtesse de Segur's novell'Ange Gardien depicts the condition of many children in that century. Implicitly the novelinvites the reader to realize that children must get their rights to grow into a good humanbeing.This study examines the topic of how the environment contributes to the fulfillment of therights of children in the novel l'Ange Gardien by Comtesse de Segur.The method used in this research is descriptive method of analysis with intrinsic approach ofcharacterization and background theory. The characterization theory is used to get thecharacter description and the relation between the characters, while the background theory isused to get the picture of the life background (environment) related to children's rights.Extrinsically the approach of sociology of literature also complement the analysis that linksthe social structure of literary works with the actual social structure of society. So throughliterary works can be understood symptoms and social influences that occur.The results of this study concluded that the character of a well-formed children comes from agood environment as well, and vice versa.Key words: children's rights, the 19th century, sociology of literature, social environment,character.

The title of this research is The Poliamori Behaviour in “Detruire Dit-Elle“ Novel byMarguerite Duras. This research analyze about the poliamori behaviour by the characters.The aim of this research are to describe and explain the poliamori relationship betweenAlissa, Max Thor and Stein in “Detruire dit-elle” novel. Alissa is the wife of Max Thorhas the romantic relationship with Stein. However, Max Thor is not questioning thatrelationship and accept it. The research uses the characterization theory and love theoryFromm.In this research, the writer explains about the important characters in the novel. Then, thewriter sorts the events which are considered as the poliamori behaviour by the characters.The last, the writer analyzes the data and features the erotic love affair by which is doneby third character.The result of this research shows that Alissa, Max Thor and Stein are done thepoliamori relationship based on the love concept that is classified as a care attitude(attention) intimacy and physical closeness factors.Keys Words: behavior, polyamory, character, love

This article is a literature review that discusses the semiotic approach to the study of literature.The discussion starts with notions about literature in general that say that literature is a work ofart that uses the medium of language and tells about life. However, as noted by some experts, oneof them is Eagleton, the use of language in literature often alienated or is not like its use ineveryday life. Based on such understanding, the explanation is done from a structural approachthat emphasizes the linguistic analysis, and ended with the discussion of Jakobson‟s poeticfunction of the language, which, at the same time, opens the talk about semiotic approach. Poeticfunction can be regarded as a bridge between linguistic analysis and aspects beyond language,such as emotion, psychology, ideology, etc, which plays an important role in the formation oflinguistic expression. Those aspects can then be analyzed more deeply with semiotic approach,because semiotics is the study of signs within social and cultural phenomena.Key words: literature, language, poetic function, semiotics

This article reviews the results of a small study of how often the absorption of foreign language used in the headlines of the newspaper KOMPAS, and whether the use of the the absorption in accordance with the rules of bahasa Indonesia, as well as needed or not.The method used in this study is qualitative. Data in the form of headlines were collected from KOMPAS, edition of March 2010. The analysis is based on the rules of the absorption of foreign language in bahasa Indonesia, and based on objective assessment whether the use of absorbed foreign words can meet or even exceed the limits of reasonableness.The results showed: the frequency of the use of absorbed words at the headlines of KOMPAS is very high, but still in accordance with the spelling rules of bahasa Indonesia.Keywords: headline, news, absorption elements, rules, fairness

Judul skripsi ini adalah Petualangan Tokoh Baldassare dalam Roman Le Pèriple de Baldassare KaryaAmin Maalouf dengan menggunakan Struktur Aktansial dari Greimas. Penulis menggunakan teori iniuntuk menggambarkan petualangan-petualangan yang dilakukan oleh Baldassare dari awal hingga akhir.Penelitian ini menggunakan teori dari Algirdas Julian Greimas yaitu struktur aktansial dan strukturfungsional. Pada struktur aktansial terdapat 6 aktan yang dibuat dalam bentuk skema, yaitu Pengirim,Penerima, Subjek, Objek, Penolong dan Penghalang. Adapun pada struktur fungsional terdapat 3 tahapyang dibuat dalam bentuk tabel, yaitu Situasi Awal, Tahap Transformasi yang dibagi 3 menjadi Tahap UjiKecakapan, Tahap Utama, Tahap Kegemilangan, serta Situasi Akhir.Hasil dari penelitian yang dilakukan adalah berhasilnya Baldassare mendapatkan apa yang diinginkannyadengan sebuah perjuangan dan usaha keras, dengan membuat tujuh skema struktur aktansial dan strukturfungsional. Selain itu, dapat juga disimpulkan bahwa tema yang didapatkan dari hasil penelitian ini adalahtema kegigihan.

This paper discusses alternative solutions provided in tourism development in Toraja, after the monetary crisis since 1998, which has adversely affected tourism in Toraja, which is marked by a decrease in the number of foreign tourist arrivals.Based on the results of research that has been done in 2016, drawn the conclusion is the root of the problem against the tourism business in Toraja is the lack of variation of tourist attraction, which during this time, tourism is always a mainstay is the tradition culture: Rambusolo and traditional house "Tongkonan". Based on the results of interviews with respondents (foreign tourists who visit Toraja), found a solution that is the need for a variant of tourism objects that support Toraja main tourist attraction. Potential variation of objects to be developed in Toraja is agro-tourism, where Toraja already owns agricultural land, for example coffee plantations, cloves, cocoa that have not been cultivated as tourist attraction.One of the solutions done for the development of agro-tourism in Toraja, especially to tourism stakeholders provides French-speaking skills in the field of agrotourism in the form of training. One of the reasons for this activity is that the majority of foreign tourists visiting Toraja are from Europe who use French as the language of communication. Perceptions embedded in the minds of high school students about difficult foreign language, and boring Indonesian language lessons influences their motivation in learning. In 2012, it was reported that 331 high school students in South Sulawesi did not pass the national examination. It was caused by the low score of Indonesian and English. Low student motivation and unsatisfactory achievement are also caused by teachers' attitudes toward learning, such as boring and non-systematic teaching strategies and techniques, and lack of creative use of authentic materials. Exciting language learning was developed among others by the French Institute, which is called Français Langue Étrangère (FLE), or French for Foreigners. The methods developed in the FLE depart from student-centered learning principles, with the emphasis of L'actionnell or action. For that purpose FLE incorporates entertainment or entertaining elements in its methods. The Department of French Literature, of Hasanuddin University shared the knowledge of the fun teaching and learning method to the language teachers of several secondary schools in Makassar. Ayu Utami's novel Saman used many metaphors to express the messages to be conveyed. These metaphors are formed in various ways. Translation as a means of relaying the ST message into the TT must be able to transfer the messages that the metaphors convey equally. This article contains the result of research on the methods used to translate the metaphor in the Indonesian version of the Saman novel to the French version. The first phase of analysis was to make a classification of metaphor types in Saman of the Indonesian version. The second step, was to analyze the method used in translating themetaphor found in the French version of the novel. The results show that there are some unusual metaphors in the source language (SL). In general, the metaphor translated in French used literal methods of translation. Some translation errors are also found
