Abstract

Abstract: This research is classroom action research which aims to improve the learning process and the result of learning mathematics by applying Discovery Learning (DL) model. The subject of this research were the second semester students of class X MIA 5 MAN 2 Model Pekanbaru academic year 2016/2017 consisting of 13 male and 17 female students. Instruments on this reserach constisted of syllabus, lesson plans and worksheets; and instruments of data collection which is observation sheets and the test result sheets. The function of observation sheet is to obtain data from the learning process and analyzed in a narrative descriptive, while the function of results sheet of the mathematics learning tests is to obtain the results of the study and analyzed in statistics descriptive. From narrative descriptive analysis can be seen that there was improvement of learning process from before action in cycle I to cycle II. From statistic deskriptive analysis can be seen an increase in the number of students who reach the minimum criteria of mastery learning. The learning result of the student experience an increase from the basic score the Cycle I and Cycle II. On the knowledge competence, from the basic score with percentage 36,67% experience improvement in Cycle I with percentage 50% and 70% in Cycle II. On the skills competence, the number of students who reach the minimum criteria of mastery learning from Cycle I with percentage 23.33% improve to 50% in cycle II. Based on the results of this research can be concluded that the application of the Discovery Learning (DL) model can improve the learning achievement of the second semester students of class X MIA 5 MAN 2 Model Pekanbaru academic year 2016/2017.Key Words: Mathematics Learning Achievement, Discovery Learning model, Classroom Action Research

Abstract

Abstract: This research is classroom action research that aims to improve learning process and to increase mathematics outcomes by applied the learning model of Problem Based Learning. The subject of this research is students in VII 8 class of SMPN 25 Pekanbaru in academic years 2017/2018, which amounted to 36 students. The research consist of two cycles, each cycle has four stages, which are planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The instruments of data collection in this research were observation sheets and students Mathematic tests. The observation sheets were analyzed in qualitative descriptive, while the students mathematic tests were analyzed in statistic quantitative descriptive. The qualitative descriptive showed an improvement of learning process from before the action to the first and second cycle. Most of students were very confidenced and actived in learning process, such as while they were finished mathemathic’s problems that given, presenting the result of problems and giving the conclusion of learning.The results of this research showed the number of students that reach Minimum Mastery Criteria for knowledge increase from the basic score (33,33%) to (44,44%) at the first test and to (77,78%) at the second test. For the skills, the score increase from (58,33%) at the first test, to (80,56%) at the second test. The results of this research showed that appication of PBL can improve learning process and increase mathematics outcomes for students in VII 8 class of SMPN 25 Pekanbaru in academic years 2017/2018 for the subject matter Circumference and Area Quadrilaterals Triangles.Keywords : Mathematics Outcomes, Problem Based Learning

Abstract

Abstract: This research is based on mathematics learning achievement on Circle topic of students VIII.2 of Junior High School 8 Pekanbaru which shows that 28 of 40 students still have scores which stand under KKM that has been settled by the school that is 78. This research aims to improve learning process and students’ mathematics learning achievement by applying Discovery Learning (DL) model. This research is a classroom action research with two cycles. The research instruments used are mathematical learning instruments and data collecting instruments. The mathematical learning instruments are Syllabus, Lesson Plans, and Activity Sheets. The data collecting instruments are Observation Sheets and Students Mathematic Tests. Analysis techniques that used are descriptive narrative on qualitative data and descriptive statistics on quantitative data. Subject of this research are students of VIII.2 Junior High School 8 Pekanbaru in second semester of academic year 2017/2018, which consist of 16 males and 24 females with heterogeneous abilities. Based on the analysis of students and teacher activities after implementation of the DL model, it can be concluded that there is an improvement of learning process. On knowledge competence, in Cycle I with percentage 37,5% and 42,5% in Cycle II. On skill competence, the number of students who can reach KKM in Cycle I with percentage 62,5% and 67,5% in Cycle II. Based on the result, it can be concluded that the implementation of DL model can improve the learning process and the students’ mathematics learning outcomes at class VIII.2 of Junior High School 8 Pekanbaru.Key Words : Mathematics Learning Achievement, Discovery Learning Model, Classroom Action Research

Abstract

Abstract : This research was motivated by the result of learning mathematics of VII.3 students of SMP Islam As-Shofa Pekanbaru which is still under the KKM with percentage 52.00% on subject matter of algebraic forms. This research aims to improve the learning process and improve student learning achievement by applying cooperative learning model with structural NHT approach. This type of research is a classroom action research with two cycles. The subject of this research is the students of class VII.3 of SMP Islam As-Shofa Pekanbaru second semester of academic year 2017/2018 which amounted to 25 students with heterogeneous academic level. The data was collected by doing observation of teachers and students activities and formative test. The results showed that there was a better improvement in the learning process from cycle I to cycle II. This is seen in students who have participated actively and work together in the learning process. In addition, the number of students who achieved KKM on the basic score, formative test I (first cycle), formative test II (second cycle) were 52.00%, 56.00%, and 72.00%, respectively. The percentage of achievement of this KKM also shows improvement from before action to after action so that it can be said that student learning achievement also increase. The results of this research indicate that cooperative learning model with structural NHT approach can improve the learning process and improve the learning achievement of mathematics students VII.3 SMP Islam As-Shofa Pekanbaru second semester of the academic year 2017/2018.Key Words: Math Learning Achievement, Cooperative Learning Model With Structural Numbered Heads Together (NHT) Approach.

Abstract

Abstract : This research is the action research that aims to improve the students learning outcomes of the fifth grade of SDN 15 Pinggir. This research was conducted in the first semester of the academic year 2013/2014. The subjects were the fifth grade class of SDN 15 Pinggir. The total students is 35 people. This study was conducted in two cycles, by prepare three instrument, there are silabus, RPP, and LKS. Collecting activity data by using observation sheet and daily test. Analysis of the data used is describes the activities of teacher and students, analysis of learning outcomes and succesful measurements. From analysis research, increasing the number of students who achieve at UH KKM in every end of each cycle compared to the number of the students who achieve a schore of KKM on basic score. The result of this study explanations that through the application of cooperative learning model Numbered Heads Together (NHT) can improve the students learning outcomes of the fifth grade of SDN 15 Pinggir.Keywords: Classroom Action Research (CAR). Abstract

Abstract: The background of this study is the restrict of mathematic learning instruments as supporting learning referring to Curriculum 2013. This study aimed to develop mathematics learning instruments with guided discovery model on circle’s topic for 8th grade SMP/MTs. Learning instruments which will be developed in this study are syllabus, lesson plans, and student worksheet. This study method used is ADDIE model by Dick and Carey that consist of analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. Test instruments that used in this study are validation instrument that is validation sheets to evaluate the advisability of syllabus, lesson plans and student worksheet and then practicality instrument that is questionnaire which will be filled up by students to evaluate practicality of student worksheet. Learning instruments that has been developed is being validated by three validators and being tested in a small test group consist of five on June 9th–10th, 2016 in SMPN 1 Pekanbaru for student worksheet. Based on the data analysis, it can be conclude that mathematics learning instruments is very valid with mean score of syllabus is 4,49, for lesson plans is 4,31, and for student worksheet is 4,22. This student worksheet also valued as very practical with mean percentage of student responses is 4,87 with 97%.Key Word: Mathematics Learning Instrument, Guided Discovery Model, Research andDevelopment, ADDIE Model

Abstract

The research consist of two cycles, each cycles has four stages, which are planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subject of this research is students of class VIIA SMP Negeri 35 Pekanbaru in academic years 2018/2019, which amounted to 40 students consist of 16 boys and 24 girls. The instrument of data collection in this research were observation sheets and student mathematic test. The observation sheet were analyzed in qualitative descriptive, while the students mathematic test were analyzed in quantitative descriptive. The qualitative descriptive showed an improvement of learning process prior to the action on the first and second cycles. Most of students were very confidenced and activated in learning process, such as while there were finished mathematic’s problem that given, presenting the result of problems and giving the conclusion of learning. Number of students that reach Minimum Mastery Criteria increase from basic score to first test and second test. The results of this research showed an increasing number of student learning mathematics about knowledge of the basic score (42,5%) to the first test (52,5%) to the second test (57,5%). The result os this research show that applying cooperative learning model of Numbered Heads Together can improve mathematic learning outcomes from the students at class VIIA SMP Negeri 35 Pekanbaru in academic years 2018/2019 for the subject matter Social Aritmethic.Key Words: Mathematics learning outcomes, Cooperative learning, Numbered Heads Together(NHT), Classroom Action Research

Abstract

Abstract : This study aims to improve the learning process and improve the learning outcomes of students of class VIII MTS Nahdiyah Tapung Hilir odd semester of the academic year 2017/2018. Form of research conducted is action research (PTK) with 2 cycles. The subjects consisted of 14 male students and 21 female students with heterogeneous ability. Instrument in this research of development there are 2 that is learning devuce and instrument dara collection. Instrument of data collection in this research is observation sheet and test of mathematics learning result. The observation sheets were analyzed descriptively qualitatively, while the mathematics learning outcomes were analyzed descriptively quantitatively. From the qualitative analysis it can be seen that there is improvement of learning process from before action to cycle I and cycle II. Students are seen actively participating and becoming more independent in the learning process. The results of this study indicate the number of students who reached the KKM increased from the basic score of 16 students (45.71%) to UH I amounted to 28b people 80%) and UH 2 amounted to 31 people (88,57%)..The result of this research shows that applying cooperative learning model of Numbered Heads Together (NHT) approach can improve learning process and can remind learning result mathematics students of class VIII MTS Nahdiyah Tapung Hilir academic year 2017/2018 on the subject matter of analyze data besed on data attribution, mean, median, mode and data distribution to take conclusion. Abstract

Abstract. The research was conducted in the sixth grade in second semester of academic year 2014/2015, in the first cycle of action is refers to measure the implementation of cooperative learning NHT structural approach, further in second cycle, the action taken is based on the reflection of the first cycle. Each cycle has four statges were sequenced are: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. From the data analysis of students’ mathematics learning outcomes, is an increase in students’ mathematics learning outcomes both in the first and the second cycle. In the first cycle the learning outcomes increased by 23,81% from the the base value before implementation measures. However, in the first cycle the percentage of students who reached the KKM is still beloq 75% so that researchers are trying to fixed the learning process by coninuing the action in the second cycle. In the second cycle also applied cooperative learning NHT, structural approach. Clasically, the students’ test socers who reached KKM in the second cycle increased by 19.05% from the students’ test score in cycle I. Based on the data analysis that obtained during the research and discussion in chapter IV, it conclude that the implementation of cooperative learning structural. Approach numbered heads together (NHT) can improve the students’ mathematics learning outcomes in clas VI.B SDN 007 Rambah Kabupaten Rokan Hulu of academic year 2014/2015 on the basis competence simplify and sort the fractions, convert the fractions form to decimal form.Keywords: Mathematics learning outcome, Cooperative learning, Numbered Heads Together

Abstract

Abstract:This research based on the students’mathematics achievement at class XI MS II Senior High School Plus of Riau Province with cooperative learning Think Pair Square (TPS), there are 24 students in the class with 18 are male and 6 female. There are 20 students who achieved the passing grade by the percentage 83,3% for attitude competence. Only 10 students who achieved the pasing grade by percentage 41,6% for knowledge competence and 12 students who achieved the passing grade by the percentage 50% for skill competence for the main discussion about relevancy with algebraic operations on matrix. The research is classroom action research. This aims research to increase learning process and students’ math achievement at class VIII.2 SMPN 4 Tapungthrough the implentation cooperative learning model of structural Two Stay Two Stray.The subject of the research are 24 students from class XI MS II Senior High School Plus of Riau Province with the heterogenous level. Instrument to collect the data are observation, attitude assessment sheet, skill assessment sheet and mathematics achivement test. The observation data analyzed by using descriptive and qualitative,and for students’test by using descriptiveand quantitative. The qualitative analysis showed an improvement of learning process prior to action to the first cycle and second cycle. The results of this research showed an increase in students achievement for attitude competence from the based-score with the percentage 83,3% to 87,5% on the first cycle and 100% on the second cycle. For knowledge competence showed an increase from the based-score with the percentage 41,6% to 62,5% on the first cycle and 83,3% on the second cycle. And for skills competence showed an increase from the based-score with the percentage 50% to 62,5% on the first cycle and 87,5% on the second cycle. Based on the finding can be concluded that the implentation of cooperative learning model Think Pair Square could improve students’ mathematics achievement at class XI MS II Senior High School Plus of Riau Province in the first semester academic years 2014/2015.Key Word : Students’ Mathematics Achievement, Cooperative Learning Model of Think Pair Square, Classroom Action Research.
