Abstract

Abstract: Data daily test results of students of class VIIB SMP Negeri 1 Sungai Lala provide information that the percentage of learners who reach the criteria masses of mminimum is still low. This Study aims to improve the learning process and the student’s outcomes of mathematic learning by applying problem based learning model. This cclassroom action research with two cycles was conducted in class VIIB SMP Negeri 1 Sungai Lala in the second semester of academic year 2018/2019 to 32 students.The required data are teacher and students activities, collected by observation technique and analyzed by descriptive narative analysis, and data of the students evaluation collected by tes technique and analyzed by descriptive statistics analysis. Statistics descriptive analysis shows that students mathematics learning outcomes improved from the basic score to the Quiz I, from Quiz I to Quiz II. This study concludes is implementation of problem based learning improved the learning process and the student’s outcomes of mathematic learning at class VIIB SMP Negeri 1 Sungai Lala in the second semester of academic year 2018/2019.Key Words: Problem Based Learning, Outcomes of Mathematic Learning, Learning Process

Abstract

Abstract : This research is a class action research that aims to increase the outcomes of mathematics learning of students by applying Problem Based Learning (PBL). The subjects of this research are the student of class XI IPA4 SMA Negeri 5 Pekanbaru at second semester of academic years 2018/2019 which total number of participant are 36 students, consists of 16 male students and 20 female students with heterogeneous academic achievement. The data needed is data on teacher and student activities collected by observation techniques and analyzed by descriptive narrative and data on student learning outcomes collected by test techniques and analyzed with descriptive statistics. Weaknesses in cycle I are improved in the implementation of cycle II in accordance with the improvement plan. The results of the study showed that the implementation of the learning process in cycle II was improved from cycle I. The result of this research could be concluded that the implementation of Problem Based Learning model can increase the outcomes of mathematics learning of students of grade XI Science4 SMA Negeri 5 Pekanbaru on the second semester academic years 2018/2019 on matrix.Key Words : The outcomes of mathematics learning, Problem Based Learning, class action research

Abstract

Abstract : This research is a class action research that aims to improve the learning process and to increase the outcomes of mathematics learning of the students by applying discovery learning. The subjects of this research are the students of classSMPN 1 Teluk Kuantan at the second semester of academic years 2017/2018 which total number of participants are 30 students, consists of 14 male students and 16 female students with heterogeneous academic achievements. This research has two cycles. Each of them has four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The data collecting instruments consist observation sheet (learning process) and the students' worksheet. Learning device used in this research consists of Syllabus, Lesson plan, and Student work sheet. The data were analized by narrative descriptive and statistical descriptive. The data were obtained from the observation sheets of teacher and students activities that showed the learning process has improved after the model being implemented. From the data of the student’s evaluation test, it showed that that the frequency of the number of students who reached the standard category, good and very good in the frequency distribution table increased from base score to Quiz I, and from Quiz I to Quiz II. The number of students who reached the Minimum Mastery Criteria from the basic score to Quiz I increased by 3 people with a 10% increase, and from Quiz I to Quiz II increased by 4 people with an increase of 13.4%.Key Words : The outcomes of mathematics learning, Discovery Learning, class action research

Abstract

Abstract: This reasearch is a classroom action research that aims to improve the learning process and improve mathematics learning outcomes by implementing the Problem Based Learning model. This research consists of two cycles, each cycle consits of four stages. The stages are, lesson planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The mathematic quiz was given at the end of every cycles. The data needed are teacher’s activities data and student’s activites data collected by observation techniques and analyzed by descriptive statistics. The results shows that the implementation of the learning process in the second cycle improves from the first cycle. The data obtained from the student mathematics learning outcomes quizzes shows that the competence of knowledge and skills frequency of students at low and very low intervals decreases from the base score to the Quizze I score and to the Quizze II score as well as in the frequency of students at high and very high intervals increases from base score to Quiz I score and to Quiz II score. The result of this study indicates that the implementation of the Problem Based Learning model can improve the learning process and improve mathemtics learning outcomes of students in class VII Hang Kesturi SMP Negeri 1 Pekanbaru in the odd semester of the academic year 2019/2020.Key Words: Mathematics Achievement, Problem Based Learning, Class Action Research

Abstract

Abstract: This research was motivated by the problems that occurred in the VIIIC class of SMP Telekomunikasi Pekanbaru and the result of learning mathematics which is still under the KKM with percentage 42,85% on subject that related to Pythagoras theorem. This research aims to improve the learning process and improve student learning achievement by applying cooperative learning model with structural Numbered Heads Together (NHT) approach. This type of research is a classroom action research with two cycles. The data was collected by doing observation of teachers and students activities and formative test. The data analysis of the research results showed that the weakness in cycle I has been improved with improvement plan that will be done in cycle II, it means that there has been improvement in the learning process. In addition, the number of students who achieved KKM on the basic score, formative test I (first cycle), formative test II (second cycle) were 42,85%, 53,57%, dan 71,43%, respectively. The percentage of achievement of this KKM also shows improvement from before action to after action so that it can be said that student learning achievement also increase. The results of this research indicate that cooperative learning model with structural Numbered Heads Together (NHT) approach can improve the learning process and improve the learning achievement of mathematics students VIIIC of SMP Telekomunikasi Pekanbaru second semester of the academic year 2016/2017.Key Words: Math Learning Achievement, Cooperative Learning Model With Structural Numbered Heads Together (NHT) Approach, Clasroom Action Research.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to develop mathematics learning device that are Lesson Plan (LP) and Students Worksheet (SW) and 2013 curriculum based prism and pyramid material using the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach for SMP/MTs students.This development research uses 4D development model who developed by Thiagarajan and modified by Endang Mulyatiningsih. The development carried out by the stages: (1) define; (2) design; (3) development; and (4) dessemination that is not implemented due to time and cost limitations. Data collection instrumen in this study were LP and SW validation sheets and student response questionaires. Then, learning device that had been compiled are validated by three validators and revised according to validator’s suggestions. Then, learning device that had been validated are tested in two stages, namely small group trials with the subject of six students of class VIII.B SMP Negeri 4 Tambang and a large group trial with the subject of 25 class VIII Andalusia students of SMP Juara Pekanbaru. Based on the data analysis results and the discussion it can be concluded that the 2013 curriculum based curriculum learning prism and pyramid material with a Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach for SMP / MTs students was considered valid with the rating average for lesson plans was 3.18 and the rating average for Students Worksheet is 3.11, and meets the practical requirements for use by the students of grade VIII SMP/MTs.Key Words: Mathematics Learning Device, Approach Realistic Mathematics Education (RME), Research and Development.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to produce mathematic learning device in the form of lesson plan and student worksheet using TTW strategy in cooperative learning on the subject of SET for VII grade students. The study model used is 4-D that consist of define, design, develop, and desseminate. The research instrument used is validity device and practicality device. The validity device is a validation sheet to assess the feasibility of lesson plans and student worksheet. The practicality device is in the form of observation sheet of learning process implementation and questionnaire of student response. Learning device developed are validated by three validators. The research trials were is tested in a small group were conducted in SMP Negeri 21 Pekanbaru and large group in SMP Negeri 20 Pekanbaru. Small group trial aims to assess the practicability based on student response questionnaire, while the large group to assess the practicability based on the open questionnaire sheet of learning process implementation and student response questionnaire. Based on the data analysis, it can be conclude that the average value for lesson plan is 3.70 in very valid category which means that lesson plan is feasible to be used and as well as the average value for student worksheet are 3.95, that are in very valid category which means that student worksheet are feasible to be tested. The average percentage of student worksheet valued as very practical with mean score for small group and large group testing are 95.60% and 93.82%. These categories mean that the lesson plan and student worksheet are feasible to used in school.Key words: Mathematics Learning Device, TTW Strategy, Cooperative Learning, Development Research, 4-D Model

Abstract

Abstract: This research is a classroom action research that aims to improve the learning process and improve student’s mathematic learning achievements. The researcher applied cooperative learning model structural approach of Numbered Heads Together at class VIII5 of SMP Negeri 17 Pekanbaru, academic year 2018/2019. The cooperative learning model structural approach of Numbered Heads Together employs students identification numbers to increase student’s sense of responsibility during the learning process. Data collection instrument in this study is observational activity sheets teachers and students, as well as math achievement tests. Sheet observations were analyzed using descriptive narrative, while math achievement tests will be analyzed using descriptive statistics. The descriptive analysis of the narrative is shown that the learning process of refinement occurs before action cycle I and cycle II. The results of this research showed an increasing number of students learning mathematics about knowledge of the basic score (34,2 %) to the first test (57,9 %) to the second test II (78,9 %). For the skills of basic score (13,2 %) to the first test (21,1 %) to the second test (31,6 %). Based on these findings it can be concluded that the application of the cooperative learning model structural approach Numbered Heads Together at class VIII5 SMP Negeri 17 Pekanbaru can improve the learning process and improve mathematic learning achievements of students in the subject matter of circle academic year 2018/2019.Key Words : Mathematic Learning Achievements, Cooperative Learning Model Structural Approach of Numbered Heads Together, Class Action Research.

Abstract

Abstract This research aims to improve mathematics achievement in SMP N 18Pekanbaru by implement cooperative learning model approach to structural Think Pair Square. Subjectswere studentsgrade VIIIFwhohave theacademicability oftheheterogeneous. This research is aclass action research with twocycles. Each a cyclehas fourstages, thestagesareplanning, action, observation, andreflection. The results showed the activity of teachers and learners have done well after doing the action. An increase in the number of students who achieved at UH KKM end of each cycle compared to the number of students who achieve KKM on base score, the number of students who scored 20 and 30 more than to the development of the number of students who received grades 5 and 10. As well as the increase in the value of the mean, median and mode learners from the first cycle to the second cycle. Conclusion of this study indicate that the application of cooperative learning model TPS Structural Approaches canimprove the mathematics achievement of learners grade VIIIF SMP Negeri 18 Pekanbaru in the first semester academic year2013/2014. Keywords: Mathematics learning outcome, Cooperative learning, Think Pair Square, Class action research

Abstract

Abstract: This research was based on the students’ achievement in learning mathematics especially grade VIII8 of SMPN 14 Pekanbaru under the Mastery Minimum Criteria with percentage of 38,23%. The subject of basic competence were about triangle. The teacher-centered learning was still used to teach materials during the learning process. The research conducted was the Classroom Action Research. The aims of this research is to improve the learning process and results on the students learning mathematic by implementing cooperative learning model structural approach of Think Pair Share (TPS). There were 34 students in the class consisting 17 boys and 17 girls as the participant of this research. The instruments of data collection in this research were observation sheets to observe the activities of teacher and students and students Mathematic tests. The observation sheets were analyzed in qualitative desciptive, while the students’ Mathematic tests were analyzed in quantitative desciptive. The qualitative desciptive showed an improvement of learning process prior to the action on the first and second cycles. The results of this research showed an increasing number of students learning Mathematic from the basic score with percentage 38,23% to 61,76% on the first test and 79,41% on second test. Based on the result of this research could be concluded that the implementation of Cooperative Learning Model structural approach of Think Pair Share (TPS) can improve the students’ achievement of learning Mathematic in grade VIII8 of SMPN 14 Pekanbaru in the first semester academic years 2018/2019.Key Word: Students’ Math Achievement, Cooperative Learning Model Structural Approach of Think Pair Share (TPS), Clasroom Action Research
