Abstract

Abstract: This research was based on the mathematics learning outcomes of students at class III SDN 25 Bagan Melibur. There were only 13 of 24 students (54,17%) who achieve the Mastery Minimum Criteria on topic about using the measuring tool in problem solving and the learning process is still teacher centered. This research is action research which aims to increase the mathematics learning outcomes of students at class III SDN 25 Bagan Melibur through the implentation of cooperative learning in type student team achievement division (STAD). The subject is 24 students at class III SDN 25 Bagan Melibur which consist of 10 boys and 14 girls with the heterogenous ability level. The instruments of data collection were observation sheets and test of mathematic learning outcomes. The observation sheets were analyzed in qualitative desciptive, while the test of mathematic learning outcomes was analyzed in quantitative descriptive. The qualitative descriptive showed that there is an improvement of the previous learning process to the first and second cycle. The result showed an increasing number of students who achieve the Mastery Minimum Criteria from the basic score with the percentage 54,17% to 75% on the first daily test and 83,33% on the second daily test. Based on that result, it can be concluded that the implentation of Cooperative Learning in type student team achievement division (STAD) can improve the mathematics learning outcomes of students at class III SDN 25 Bagan Melibur on second semester academic year 2014/2015. Abstract

Abstract: This research is based on the learning process and the students achievement in learning mathematics in class X MIA 3 of SMAN 4 Pekanbaru, there are 20 of 36 students who achieved the Minimum Mastery Criteria or 55,56% for exponent and logarithm lesson. The type of this research is classroom action research. The purpose of this research is to improve the learning process and increase mathematical understanding by implementing discovery learning. The subject of this research were the students in class X MIA 3 ofSMAN 4 Pekanbaru consist of 16 boys and 20 girls at the first semester of academic year 2014/2015. The instruments of data collection in this research were observation sheets and mathematical understanding tests.The observation sheets were analyzed in qualitative descriptive.The qualitative descriptive showed that there is the improvement of learning process after the action on the first and second cycles. The result showed that there is an increase the mathematical understanding of students with the score N-gain is 0,34 in the first cycle and 0,46 in the second cycle at medium classification. The conclusion of this research is the implementation of discovery learning can increase the mathematical understanding of students in class X MIA 3 of SMAN 4 Pekanbaru in the first semester of academic year 2014/2015. Abstract

Abstract: This research based on the student’s mathematics achievement in class IX7 of SMPN 8 Pekanbaru, there are 12 of 32 students who achieved the Minimum Mastery Criteria or 37,5% for similarity lesson. This research aims to improve the learning process and increase the student’s mathematics achievement by applying the model of Cooperative Learning Numbered Head Techniques. The subject of this research were the students in class IX7 SMPN 8 Pekanbaru, there are 32 students with heterogeneous level of academic capabilities. This research is a class action research by two cycles. The instruments of data collection in this research were observation sheets and students mathematic tests. The observation sheets were analyzed in qualitative, while the student’s mathematic tests were analyzed in quantitative. The qualitative descriptive showed that there is the improvement of learning process after the action on the first and second cycles. The result showed that there is an increase in student’s achievement from the basic score with the percentage 37,5% to 56,25% on the first test and 78,1% on the second test. Based on the result of this research, can be concluded that the implementation of Cooperative Learning Numbered Head Techniques can improve the learning process and increase the student’s mathematics achievement class IX7 of SMPN 8 Pekanbaru by the academic years 2014/2015. Abstract

Abstract: The teacher competence test is a test which is conducted to observe the competence mastery of a teacher. That mastery will be used as the basic consideration on training program and developing the professional teacher. The score of competence test of high school mathematics teacher in Riau province was 41,34, meanwhile the score of expected standard is 70. One of the factors which caused the low score was the teacher having lack of training about the problem of teacher competency test. Abstract

Abstract: This research based on the students’ mathematics achievement at class VIII.2 SMPN 4 Tapung, there are 24 students in the class, only 9 students who achieved the passing grade by the percentage 37,5% on the main discussion about relevancy with teorema pythagoras and then the learning process still teacher center. The research is classroom action research. This aims research to increase learning process and students’ math achievement at class VIII.2 SMPN 4 Tapung through the implentation cooperative learning model of structural Two Stay Two Stray. The subject of the research are 24 students from class VIII.2 SMPN 4 tapung consist of 14 male and 10 famale students with the heterogenous level. Instrument to collect the data are observation and mathematics achivement test. The observation data analyzed by using descriptive and qualitative, and for students’ test by using descriptive and quantitative. The qualitative analysis showed an improvement of learning process prior to action to the first cycle and second cycle. The results of this research showed an increase in students achievement from the based-score with the percentage 29.16%to 45.83% on the first test and 70.83% on the second test. Based on the finding can be concluded that the implentation of cooperative learning model of structural approach Two Stay Two Stray to improve students’ mathematics achievement at class VIII.2 SMPN 4 Tapung in the second semester academic years 2013/2014.
