Abstract

Abstrak: This research is background of low learning outcomes of IPS of fourth grade students of SD Negeri 006 Koto Sentajo Sub-district Sentajo Raya Regency Kuantan Singingi with grade average 63,40. Can be seen from the number of students 15 people, complete students are 6 people (40%) while the number of students who have not completed 9 people (60%). This is in accordance with the KKM that has been established a school that is 70. This is because the teacher has not used the right method, the teacher also does not involve students in the learning process, so the students look saturated with the methods used by teachers and students less able to interact in the learning process. This study aims to improve the outcomes of IPS learning with Brainstorming learning method in grade 4 students SDN 006 Koto Sentajo District Sentajo Raya Regency Kuantan Singingi. This study is a class action research (PTK) consisting of II cycles with the subject of a fourth grade student of SDN 006 Koto Sentajo District Sentajo Raya Regency Kuantan Singingi. The outcomes showed that IPS learning through brainstorming learning method can improve IPS learning outcomes. This can be seen from the average basic score of students is 63.40 increased in the first cycle to 70.00 then increased again to 77.66 in cycle II. The increase of learning outcomes that happened base score to UH I that is 10,41% and at score UH II become 22,49%.Keywords: Brainstorming Method, learning outcomes
