Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of guided inquiry models through practicum learning on the psychomotor abilities of class XI MIA students in MAN 10 Jombang. The method used is quantitative with a pre-experimental design in the form of one group pretest-posttest. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observations, and performance tests. The instruments used include interview guides, guided inquiry-based learning tools, learning implementation observation sheets, and students' psychomotor ability assessment sheets. The interview guide was used to conduct a needs analysis and interviews were conducted with biology teachers at MAN 10 Jombang. Guided inquiry-based learning tools were used to carry out guided inquiry-based practicum learning in this study. The number of samples of students used in this study was 15 people. The observation data on the implementation of learning were analyzed descriptively, while the data on the psychomotor abilities of students were analyzed parametrically using SPSS version 25.0 software. Guided inquiry-based practicum learning in this study was carried out well with a percentage of 79.4%. The psychomotor abilities of students at the posttest stage increased by 40% compared to the pretest stage. At the pretest stage, six students had very poor psychomotor abilities, while at the posttest stage there were no students with very poor psychomotor abilities. The results of the product-moment analysis show that the guided inquiry model through practicum learning has a significant effect on the psychomotor abilities of students, with a value of 0.769 and a significance level of 5%. The results of the regression analysis showed that guided inquiry-based practicum learning had an effect of 59.1% on the increase in students' psychomotor abilities. Based on the results of this study the teacher can apply guided inquiry-based practical learning to train or improve the psychomotor abilities of students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan potensi buah Kersen (Muntingia calabura) sebagai bahan baku pembuatan nata. Potensi tersebut ditinjau dari ketebalan, berat basah, dan kadar serat kasar lapisan nata yang terbentuk. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan rancangan acak lengkap menggunakan tiga ulangan. Bahan yang digunakan adalah sari buah Kersen dengan konsentrasi 100%, 75%, 50%, dan 25% yang ditambahkan bakteri Acetobacter xylinum, yang diperoleh dari Laboratorium Mikrobiologi Universitas Negeri Surabaya. Kontrol yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah air kelapa yang ditambahkan bakteri yang sama. Lama fermentasi setiap perlakuan adalah 14 hari dalam suhu ruang. Ketebalan lapisan nata diukur dengan menggunakan jangka sorong. Berat basah lapisan nata diukur dengan menggunakan neraca digital. Kadar serat kasar diukur dengan metode gravimetri. Nata dengan ketebalan dan berat basah tertinggi dihasilkan oleh perlakuan dengan konsentrasi sari buah Kersen 50%. Adapun kadar serat kasar tertinggi dihasilkan oleh larutan dengan konsentrasi sari buah Kersen 25%.

Abstract

Sebuah percobaan disusun untuk mengevaluasi kadar unsur hara pupuk organic cair (POC) berbahan baku limbah kambing serta mengetahui respon tanaman jagung manis terhadap aplikasi POC limbah kambing. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Green house Universitas KH. A. Hasbullah pada Bulan Agustus s/d November 2018. Penelitian disusun menggunakan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dan diulang empat kali dengan perlakuan sebagai berikut: P0 : POC Konsentrasi 0%; P1 : POC Konsentrasi 2,5%; P2 : POC Konsentrasi 5%; P3 : POC Konsentrasi 7,5%; P4 : POC Konsentrasi 10%; P5 : Kontrol pupuk anorganik. Hasil analisis kadar hara menunjukkan bahwa POC limbah kambing tidak memenuhi persyaratan teknis minimal Pupuk Organik Cair yang dipersyaratkan oleh Permentan Nomor 70/Permentan/SR.140/10/2011 tentang Pupuk Organik, Pupuk Hayati dan Pembenah Tanah karena memiliki kadar C-organik, Total Nitrogen, Total P2O5, dan Total K2O yang lebih rendah dibandingkan standar mutu dalam peraturan tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan secara umum aplikasi POC limbah kambing belum mampu meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman jagung manis karena kadar haranya rendah sehingga tidak bisa menjadi sumber hara utama guna memperoleh hasil yang optimal.

Abstract

Kedung Cinet is a tourist area in Jombang Regency that is often visited by tourists. This tourist area is a stream that has naturally formed limestone rock walls. Continuous tourist visits can pose a risk of damage to the natural environment such as damage to the Pteridophyta plants that are widely spread on the site. Therefore, it is necessary to collect the Pteridophyta plants. The Pteridophyta plants obtained were then identified and preserved into a herbarium and stored at the KH Botanical University Laboratory. A. Wahab Hasbullah Tambakberas Jombang. Herbarium Pteridophyta in addition to collections, is used as a learning medium in the course of Low Botanical Botany. The purpose of the study was to describe the feasibility and level of attractiveness of the Pteridophyta herbarium media. This study uses the ADDIE research model. Research procedures go through 5 stages: 1) analysis 2) design 3) development 4) implementation and 5) evaluation. Media validation was carried out by two media experts while response validation was carried out by 10 Biology Education study program students. The results showed that the herbarium was declared "Eligible" by media experts to be used as learning media with a percentage of 91.07% while the results of validation responses by students showed that herbarium media was declared "Attractive" with a percentage of 92.50%. Abstract

Media pembelajaran merupakan sarana komunikasi antara pendidik dengan peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran. Media pembelajaran memiliki beragam jenis, satu di antaranya adalah media 3 dimensi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran 3 dimensi materi polinasi dan fertilisasi tumbuhan berbiji untuk Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP). Metode penelitian yang digunakan mengikuti model pengembangan ASSURE (Analyze learner;State performance objectives; Select methods, media, and materials; Utilize materials; Requires learner participation; Evaluate and revise). Media yang telah dikembangkan selanjutnya dilakukan validasi oleh ahli materi dan ahli media. Hasil validasi akan direvisi dan diuji coba kepada pengguna, (peserta didik). Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif. Media pembelajaran 3 dimensi yang dikembangkan mendapat nilai 88,80% dengan kriteria sangat layak dari ahli materi; 93,85% dengan kriteria sangat layak dari ahli media; dan 90,10% dengan kriteria sangat menarik dari pengguna. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify the types of plants used in the Siraman Pengantin in the Jombang Regency. The method used is interviews, direct observation, and literature study. Interviews were conducted with three resource persons who have expertise in the field of Siraman Pengantin in Jombang Regency, to find out the types of plants used in the traditional ceremony. Direct observations were made to identify the morphological structure and classification of each plant species used in the traditional ceremony. The results of identification through direct observation are then compared with a literature study to ensure the classification of plants. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that there were 41 types of plants used in the Siraman Pengantin ceremony in the Jombang Regency. All of these plant species belong to the Angiosperms group. A total of 26 species are dicotyledonous plants and the other 15 species are monocotyledonous plants. The identified dicotyledonous plant families are Achariaceae, Annonaceae, Apiaceae, Clusiaceae, Convolvulaceae, Cucurbitaceae, Euphorbiaceae, Fabaceae, Magnoliaceae, Moraceae, Myrtaceae, Oleaceae, Piperaceae, Rosaceae, Sapotaceae, and Solanaceae. The monocotyledonous plant families identified were Arecaceae, Bromeliaceae, Dioscoreaceae, Liliaceae, Musaceae, Pandanaceae, Poaceae, and Zingiberaceae.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the results of the validation of herbarium experts and learning media experts on the herbarium collection of plants used in the traditional ceremony of Sepasaran Bayi in the Jombang Regency. This research is development research that refers to the R&D (Research and Development) model. The R&D model has ten stages, but only the first five stages were used in this study. The procedures carried out include: 1) potential and problems, 2) data collection, 3) product design, 4) design validation, and 5) design improvement. The potential and problem stages were carried out to collect information related to the potential of the Sepasaran Baby traditional ceremony in the Jombang Regency. The data collection stage was carried out to collect data on the types of plants used in the traditional ceremony through interviews with resource persons. The instrument is an interview guide. The third stage is the preparation of the herbarium design. The fourth stage is design validation by involving one herbarium expert and one learning media expert. The instrument used is a validation sheet. The fifth stage is design improvement, namely the improvement of the herbarium based on the assessment and suggestions of the two validators. Data analysis was done descriptively. The results showed that the herbarium was declared quite feasible by the herbarium expert with a percentage of 80.00% while the results of the validation of the learning media experts showed that the herbarium was declared very feasible with a percentage of 95.00%.

Abstract

The integration of local wisdom, especially the Selapanan Bayi traditional ceremony, in the development of biology learning media has never been done. Through this research, biology learning media was developed in the form of a herbarium collection with plant specimens used were the types of plants used in the Selapanan Bayi traditional ceremony in Jombang Regency. The purpose of this study was to determine the results of the validation of herbarium expert and learning media expert on the products developed. This research is a type of research and development that refers to the R&D model, which consists of 10 stages. Only the first five stages were carried out in this study namely potential and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, and design revision. The instruments used were interview guide, herbarium expert validation sheet, and learning media expert validation sheet. The collected data were analyzed descriptively. The results of the herbarium expert’s validation of the developed product showed a value of 80 with the criteria quite feasible. As for the results of the expert validation of learning media, it shows a value of 95 with very feasible criteria. This indicates that the herbarium collection developed can be used as a biology learning media, especially for Plantae Kingdom material.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to validate the herbarium which was developed based on the assessment of herbarium expert and learning media expert. The types of plants used in the manufacture of this herbarium were the types of plants used in the Munggah Molo traditional ceremony in Jombang Regency. This study refered to the R&D model which consists of 10 stages, but only first five stages were used by researchers. The five stages were potential and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, and design revision. Interview guides and validation sheets were used as research instruments. The interview guide was used to collect data about the types of plants used in traditional ceremony of Munggah Molo in Jombang Regency. The validation sheets were used to determine the value and feasibility of the developed herbarium. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively. Herbarium expert gave a score of 80 so that the herbarium developed obtained the feasible criteria. Learning media expert gave a score of 95 so that the herbarium met the criteria very feasible. Both validator stated that the herbarium could be used as a biology learning media.

Abstract

The river is a gathering place for water, water quality is greatly influenced by human activities. One of the causes of river water pollution is the presence of domestic waste. This can lead to pollution of water due to microorganisms, s ne of one of her are bacteria Coliform. Coliform bacteria are microorganisms that are usually used as indicators in determining whether a water source is contaminated by pathogens or not. Konto River is a river in East Java originating from the mountains of Argowayang-Anjasmoro Malang. Media is part which can’t be separated from the learning process. In the 2013 curriculum, bacteria material is listed in Basic Competencies (KD) 3.5 and 4.5. Leaflet media for river water quality test that will be developed in this research.
